Dr.Wu is great, that's it

Dr.Wu is great. Can't find anything else good to say about it b. Long wait times, a lot of drama to call and confirm. The people greeting you are rude, controlling, trying to make sure you know that they are in position of control. Just awful system. I'd rather neglect myself than to deal with this monopoly. And they call everyday to remind you of the same appt, disrupting your workday. They hound you like a collections agency. What they should do is not make it so difficult to confirm an appt. It's ridiculous.

I was admitted to Jefferson Hospitals…

I was admitted to Jefferson Hospitals Abington Facility on 05/03/26 for low sodium levels in my blood. On 04/26/26 I was admitted to Jefferson Torresdale for passing out at my home. I was in excruciating pain in my back due to this fall and I was originally diagnosed with A-Fib. I was sent home the next day with the Cardiologist thinking it was a VasoVagal incident. Not feeling well my wife,a retired RN thopught it would be better to go to Abington due to my Cardiologist & Primary doctors affiliated with Abington. I was in the ER and was sent for CT's of my chest, abdomen & pelvis, I was told tat I would have a echo cardiogram done tomorrow. I was in the cardiac unit. The nurses were great, We went over my meds and I was told that the hospital doesn't carry Linzess72mg and that offered me otc's and other light bowel stimulating meds. I told them that I have tried all that they had to offer and that none of them work. I asked how is it that the Linzess was prescribed by an Abington based Gastroenterologist but they don't have this med in stock. I was told that I could have my wife bring it to the hospital and they hospital would administer the med to me. I also told them how I was still in pain from the fall on 04/26/26. On Monday I was told that I may not get the Echo Cardiogram until Tuesday. When I asked why the hold up I was told that they don't do Echo's on the weekend. I was told that I would be seeing a Nephrologist while I was in thw hospital. By this time I was becoming constipated. My wife brought the bottle of Linzess abut this med is taken in the AM and the med had to be inspected by their pharmacist. I didn't get this med on Monday nor did I see and consulting doctors. I was seen by a hospitalist only and this person had limited knowledge of my recent health experiences. The CT scan came back showing "There are no fractures or dislocations. There are no osseous lesions". By this time I was bloated and wasn't having any bowel movements. I was given an enema. I saw the Nephrologist and she said that she didn't think my sodium problem was a result of SIADH and that I should follow up with her when I get discharged. On Wednesday 03/06/26 I was discharged. I was told when my wife brought the Linzess to this hospital That the remaining med would be returned to me at my discharge. They NEVER WERE. When I got home I realized that the Linzess wasn't with my discharge papers I called the nurse manager and asked for her to call me to inquire as to how to get the Linzess back to me. No one has ever called. I called again about a week or so later to the phone number for the nurse manager abd as of this dat no one has called. On or around 05/12/26 I had an MRI done at another hospital(Not in Jefferson Network) this MRI revealed a Compression Fracture at T 12. A CT was done about a week later and this test also identified the Compression Fracture at T-12. I have had numerous surgeries ans well as other medical issues that were handled at Abington Hospital prior to merging with Jefferson all done with no serious side effects. Now I am seriously considering changing my treating physicians that are affiliated with this institution. Some of the care that I received at this facility is reprehensible at the least and to be followed up by an absolute disregard for patitent care by the Nurse Managerisn't thay way a hospital should operate. I have and will continue to tell my family and friends about this once great hospital this isn't anymore

I don’t usually leave reviews

I don’t usually leave reviews, but my experience here was incredibly disappointing and honestly traumatic.
I chose this hospital and a midwife because I wanted the best chance at avoiding a C-section. My baby was measuring large, but I tested negative for gestational diabetes. When a maternal fetal medicine doctor suggested I ask about induction, I did and was met with pushback. I was never really given the chance to try for an induction. Instead, after going past my due date, I was told a C-section was my only option. That decision, and the complications that followed, have had a lasting impact on me physically and emotionally.
As a first-time mom, my postpartum experience here was just as frustrating. When it came to breastfeeding, I was not properly educated at all. I asked questions and tried to get help, but the guidance I received was unclear and, in some cases, just wrong. I brought up concerns about a possible tongue or lip tie and was dismissed, only to find out after leaving the hospital that my son did in fact have one. By that point, the damage from an improper latch was already done and it completely affected my ability to continue breastfeeding.
The billing side has been another nightmare. I have called multiple times trying to set up a payment plan and keep getting sent in circles between departments. I was told my bills would not go to collections while they were still being processed, yet I still received collection notices. On top of that, everything is split into multiple accounts, which makes it nearly impossible to track what is going on. I have dealt with other healthcare systems and have never experienced anything this disorganized or stressful.
After having time to reflect and do my own research, I truly question the care I received, especially when it comes to maternal fetal medicine. Based on what I’ve learned, I believe things could have been handled very differently, and my postpartum experience could have had a much better outcome if better decisions were made.
I also need to be honest about how this felt. I felt pressured into a major medical decision without being given real options. It did not feel collaborative, and it did not feel like I was fully informed. It felt like something was being pushed on me rather than discussed with me.
My advice to anyone considering care here is to advocate for yourself and do not be afraid to get a second opinion. Make sure you fully understand your options before agreeing to anything, because decisions like this can affect the rest of your life.
I hope this is taken seriously so other women do not have to go through what I did.
