Went to the Eastbourne branch today . Won’t be going again . Food not even average . My wife had American breakfast and the pancake looked more like a beer mat and the maple syrup that was advertised on menu was definitely golden syrup .
My knife needed to be sharper to cut through my bagel and all in all very disappointed.

Excellent in every way. Staff fabulous, food fantastic, great selection, location good, layout not overcrowded. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

No one go here!!!! Ever since new managers this place has gone off the rails!! This lovely young waitress was getting mistreated very badly by her managers and colleagues, you could clearly tell she was new to the job!
DISGUSTING!!!

This place has gone down hill drastically since new management. I always have the pancakes with banana, they used to be large, thick and include blueberries. The blueberries have been taken out, quite a while ago but I always ask them to add some in for me, well today they wanted to charge me £1.50 extra for a few blueberries. I have been coming here every Saturday for breakfast for years now, so come on, what about loyal customers? I'm not paying extra for blueberries and I shan't be having your pancakes anymore, they are half the size and you can literally see through them. Today there wasn't even any syrup on them and banana was all bruised. Plus the guys that cook, cant even fry an egg and keep the yolk soft. Don't expect people to pay for food that isn't right. Don't waste your money here, the only good thing is the coffee!

At 5.24 pm on late night shopping night in Belfast city centre, Jamaica Blue closes at 6.00 pm and is not doing hot food. I gave it a second chance before but not again. No wonder the reviews are so bad.

My wife had ordered ‘Shrooms on Toast from the menu, which was to be an assortment of mushrooms, in a creamy sauce on toasted bread. What came to the table, looked like just sautéed mushrooms thrown on to very dry toast. There was a couple of spoon fulls of like melted crushed feta, dotted around the plate, but nothing to add sauce to the dish. The mushrooms had no flavour and when I asked the waiter, why the dish is so dry, he just said that’s the way we serve it… There was no like, I’ll go and ask the chef or let me see what I can do.. it was like you ordered this, you eat it.!! Not the hospitality one would expect from a restaurant in Kingston.

What a lovely little addition this has been in the Bentalls centre - friendly staff and their American Diner breakfast and banana milkshake are to die for.

Never eat in this place, inside Ilford Exchage Mall. Worst staff I've ever met, rude & lazy. Ask for ketchup/mayonaise/sweetener, not available. Ask for a small jug of milk for my english tea. She said I didn't mention this at time of order. Just too lazy to serve. Ridiculous. Food not worth the price.

I’ve been a regular at Jamaica Blue for quite some time now, since their owner changed and it has never failed to impress me. The service is consistently warm and attentive, making every visit a pleasure. The food is always fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Whether it’s a quick coffee or a leisurely meal, the quality and ambiance always stand out. It’s clear the team takes pride in what they do, and it shows in every detail. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable, top-notch spot to relax and enjoy great food and coffee!

2 teas, 2 coffees...not difficult is it? First and last time in one of these places.
When they arrived 20 minutes later, the cups fir the tea were filthy disgusting, asked for 2 clean cups...I may as well have been talking Martian, was eventually given 2 cups that were not tea cups and not clean either.
The tea came without milk, had to wait for somebody to sort that out...not an apology either. I'd like to add that it wasn't particularly busy either.

Eleven of us decended on Jamaica Blue at Richmond for breakfast twice. The experience was fantastic: pleasant and efficient service; great coffee and food served pleasantly and with warmth highly recommend

I used to enjoy the sourdough toast but it’s not consistent. The slices are 0.3cm thick. Barely large enough for me to cover with one pat of butter. The prices are very high and so I would expect something a bit special. My bread isn’t even toasted. It just feels a bit stiff! Sometimes my toast will be warm, but usually when I get it it’s gone cold. I tried complaining but they just bought me more of the same. I give up. Pity!

Ealing Broadway Branch
Staff are friendly and helpful, especially the manager who is the epitome of good service! Food is decent and always served quickly. Coffee is excellent.

The tables and surroundings are very clean, and the background music is kept to a tolerably low level (unlike a lot of other eateries).

Although I love their coffee and food. On my last visit I was charged twice for the same items. I asked if my transaction had gone through and was told no therefore presented my card again. Not until I arrived home I noticed this had happened. Tried to call the local phone number several times and got no answer. Left messages but never received a response. Emailed head office several times who also couldn't be bothered to reply. So I've resigned myself to the fact that I've lost the money and I'm not going to hear anything from Jamaica Blue about this error on their side.

Really rude manager and staff, the worst customer service I’ve experienced.

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE.

Absolutely unacceptable experience. I recently visited this restaurant with a friend and was seated near the till where I overheard an appalling interaction between a customer and the manager. The customer politely explained that her order was incorrect and had already been paid for, but the manager showed complete indifference. What shocked me the most was that, rather than resolving the issue, the manager flatly denied her the food she had rightfully paid for. I was absolutely baffled and horrified by this blatant disregard for basic customer service.

It’s one thing for a mistake to happen, but it’s entirely another for management to respond with such rudeness and dismissiveness. If this is how they treat customers who have already paid, I am deeply concerned about how they might treat anyone else in a similar situation. The lack of professionalism and basic decency here is staggering.

I strongly urge others to avoid this restaurant—there are plenty of better brunch spots in Ealing that prioritise customer service and foster a more welcoming, respectful atmosphere.

Ealing branch - Appalling customer service and rude staff. Avoid this place. The manager Nidhi, is especially rude, patronising, and totally unprofessional—she should not be in a customer-facing role. She clearly has no idea how to speak to or treat paying customers, and her staff aren’t any better. I was shouted at and treated with zero respect. I’ve worked in customer service for years and would never dream of shouting at a customer over a simple mistake. I’ve NEVER been treated this badly in public.

While mistakes can happen, such as my order being mixed up, the way it was handled was unacceptable. The waitress must have misheard me, entered the wrong order, and proceeded to serve it. When I pointed out that I hadn’t ordered the dish, she responded in a condescending manner, insisting that I ‘100% must have ordered that dish,’ which I most certainly had not.

After speaking with the manager, the waitress told me that I couldn’t change my order and would have to eat what was served. She then offered me the option of paying the price difference to receive the dish I originally ordered, to which I agreed. However, when I went to the counter to pay, the rude manager told me I could not order another dish, claiming I had ‘admitted to the misunderstanding,’ which apparently meant I couldn’t change my order or pay the difference. I was left without food, and the manager showed no concern whatsoever. I left hungry, humiliated and deeply upset.

Nidhi’s behaviour, along with that of her staff, is shockingly unprofessional. One of the waitresses even mentioned that they regularly receive complaints about the manager, so be warned. Even her own staff don't want to work there. No customer should ever be made to feel this way. I strongly advise against coming here as there are plenty of other lovely cafés in Ealing that offer far better service.

This is not the first time I have witnessed such behaviour. I’ve seen other customers being shouted at by the manager on previous occasions, which was equally shocking. I was never given the option to receive a refund.

Worst and most expensive cappuccino I had in the UK since I have moved from Italy in 2005. Stay away.

Awful experience. Very expensive and awful Avo mash . Paid around £15 and couldn’t eat it at all. Very slow service too

The breakfast was poor, had things missing off the plate to what was advertised, my husband queried it with the manager, he just said it was an old picture, he wasn’t bothered. Also the fried eggs were hard, which was mentioned to the assistant, she replaced them with 2 snotty ones that couldn’t be eaten. Very dissatisfying all round. I hope these comments help to improve things, but I doubt it.
