Awful customer support. They automate their ban/appeal process. You CANNOT talk to a human. If you're unlucky enough to get falsely banned, you just lost your account for good.

If possible I would give 0 stars. These guys just ban your Oldschool Runescape account or take gold from your bank for no reason. When you try to appeal the ban there is no customer service whatsoever. Any responses you recieve is all automated by bots (how ironic). They falsely banned my osrs account for RTW, would not tell me the time, date, plaace I apparently bought gold and denied both my appeals without even being reviewed by an actual human.

Jagex dogs

The worst experience ever to do with gaming.
Received a ban on my account for apparent RWT (real world trading) and after requesting proof they did not respond but continued to ban my account for a duration of time once the ban was lifted when I logged back in I noticed anything of worth from the account had been removed as well. Hope this review reaches someone before they waste their time with these money hungry shit c*nts.

False perm banned on my 1 defense pure…

False perm banned on my 1 defense pure for RWT on 4/9/26, I had 1850 total level and 3 pets. I had zero offense in 12 years, bought gold one time in December of 2025. Tries to log in on April 9th, perm banned for rwt. Company is complete garbage. Their main goal is to ban any real player, and make you start all over. I’d rather eat dirt than support them all over again. Foh. Worst company. Zero humans to speak to, and a newly implemented ai ban system that can’t even do its job correctly. -1/10 game. Don even bother. Only a Matter of time before you’re banned or hacked. And there’s nothing you can do about it.

they will absolutely NOT help you if your account gets hijacked. they will give you a copy paste response and close any further tickets. great way to keep the hijackers and scammers in the game - to real world trade your stolen items to gamblers and have all the real players leave. done with the poor company any their terrible 'new' games. i'm leaving this review after finding out they're already rated 1 star, hilarious.

Terrible Support staff

I have been playing OSRS for years now and just came back to it over the past days. In that time I discovered they made a Jagex login separate to previous login to your character's account. So when I tried to login it wanted me to make an account because it could not find my character with the same email somehow. Which turned out to have been hacked and used over the period of time. Now I had 2FA on it and everything and when asked support about any of these questions I was given automated or no response about this topic.

So needless to say I got my account back and logged on still not needing 2FA for some reason. Played for about 30 mins on mobile just remembering and wandering around and logged out. The next day I logged in and said I could not play the character cause I was banned for botting. When I looked further I had a second botting infraction from when my account was hacked. So I appealed it once and was told I was denied that I was botting. Then applied for my 2nd final appeal, where I really was asking for clarification on the process. Explaining everything again about just getting back my account , wondering about 2FA, and just my general bewilderment to the whole situation was once again met with a denial and robotic answer with no clarification to anything I asked just them saying they were certain I was botting in that 30 mins on OSRS app.

To know you have not done the wrongdoing you are being accused of was genuinely disheartening. Like why would I want to get back into this game and play when they just called you a cheater 30 mins into playing it. Why would I go through the process of gaining access to my account through support to then bot instantly.

If they were a bit more transparent about the whole situation and actually answered the questions you asked instead of just pasting their generic BS they are told to say then I could at least feel like I am talking to a human. However it seems like this has been Jagex's way of doing business which is truly just shameful.

I started playing this for years and…

I started playing this for years and years the time when it first came to my attention when I was a kid and then I stopped playing for a long time and then eventually came back about 2 1/2 years ago. I started playing a great amount of time investing in a membership paying time into it all of that. But stop playing in to get into it once again it said that my character was permanently banned because of real world trading. I knew that was bs, so I put in Appel.I got an email saying pretty much that they standby their decision because they didn’t make any mistake. It’s all a match though and there’s no number to call. There’s no look at human. I enjoy the game, but the fact that I lost the character that I’ve had for many years has turned me sour to play the game anymore.

Ban you for no reason

Ban you for no reason, wipe your items and can't even be bothered to respond to an appeal despite putting hundreds, if not thousands of hours into the game.

I was harassed by leaders of a large…

I was harassed by leaders of a large Runescape player group I left. When I asked to be left alone, player mods who are members of that player group inappropriately used their authority to ban me from the Runescape Discord server. It has been one year now, all petitions and messages to Jagex are completely ignored. The only reply I ever received only made it clear the person had not read the information. After that, every message, social media post, and in-game petition has been completely ignored (automatically closed without comment).

Lost access to my deleted gmail account…

Lost access to my deleted gmail account (obviously), they keep telling me to open the chat again from a connection/location i have played the game at. Weird, since i'm sitting in the exact same chair, on the exact same square meter as always, and apparently that's not the right location (?). And well jagex being jagex.. that's literally it, nothing more they can do, i have all payment details for purchasing member etc. Top-notch customer support.

Scam company

Scam company - worst customer service there is. Pretty sure none of us were "hacked then permabanned" with no evidence what so ever. Pretty sure Jagex is using scam tactics to force people to have to spend more money on their game.

Greedy

Removing treasure hunter keys without reimbursing players who spent real hard-earned money is a real slap to the face considering RuneScape itself costs 100+ dollars a year to play. Jagex is a greedy company that's only concern is money. 1000+ hours spent on their game, and I will never be touching it again.

Automated false bans with zero evidence and no human interaction.

They will automate the false banning of your account under macro/botting while providing zero evidence whatsoever no matter how many times you ask. They also give no reply at all to appeals of their mistake and making requests is a waste of time; you'll get nothing but bots giving copy/paste response that answer nothing and resolve nothing. Their support team basically doesn't exist and Jagex should be considered as scammers.
