Fantastic Customer Service
Purchased a new car from the Warrington Branch - from initial enquiries & going into the showroom to look at the vehicles to driving away in my new car - Sami was nothing short of wonderful. He answered any questions I had from start to finish, the communication was spot on. When I called back in a couple of months later as I had gotten a new reg plate - he had no issue in helping get this printed and then fitted to my car.
Sami made the whole process of looking and buying the car easy and straight forward - fantastic customer service.
Very disappointing experience with a used Tesla
Very disappointing experience with Invicta Motors Bolton
We found a Tesla Model 3 advertised on Autotrader and travelled over 60 miles to view it. The initial contact was good, and we appreciated them waiting for us after a motorway closure delayed our arrival.
The car was clearly still awaiting preparation. We identified several issues, including noisy front door hinges and doors that did not operate smoothly, missing plastic trim, significant glue residue where the kick plate should have been, peeling paint around the door seals, a dirty interior and bald tyres.
We paid a £500 deposit and agreed collection for the following Saturday. We were told the car had received a Tesla health check and that the issues identified would be dealt with before collection.
After repeatedly chasing for updates and the promised documentation, we were eventually told on Friday that the alloys still needed refurbishing. I specifically asked whether the tyres and other preparation work had been completed and was assured that they had, with the car having been in the workshop.
We therefore rearranged collection for Sunday and made another 60+ mile journey.
On arrival, we were told that the tyres had not been changed and the car could not be released. It then became apparent that many of the other issues we had identified on our first visit had also not been addressed. The door hinges were still noisy, the doors still didn't operate smoothly, the plastic trim and glue residue were still present, and the interior remained dirty. The battery was at just 17% and the car had travelled over 100 miles since our first visit.
We finally test drove the car and immediately noticed a loud creaking noise from the front passenger side, audible both inside and outside the vehicle.
The most disappointing aspect was not simply the condition of the car, but being given assurances that work had been completed when it clearly had not. We made 2x 120+ mile round trips based on those assurances.
Jordan has since apologised for our experience. To their credit, the dealership has refunded the £500 deposit within 24 hours and paid an additional £60 as a goodwill gesture towards the fuel costs.
I appreciate the apology and refund, but the whole experience was extremely frustrating and involved a significant amount of wasted time and travel.
I would recommend checking reviews on Trustpilot before travelling a long distance or paying a deposit. I wish I had done so before making the initial enquiry
1 Star
1 Star – Months of chasing, unresolved faults and no ownership
Review:
I am leaving this 1-star review following my experience with Invicta Motors Bolton and the handling of my wife’s JAECOO J7.
The vehicle has suffered several issues, including loss of power/delayed acceleration, DAB problems, a squeaking panoramic roof and the vehicle jolting forward when parking on a hill.
The most serious issue is the loss of acceleration when joining the motorway shortly after starting the journey. My wife’s commute changed and began incorporating motorway driving, which is when the problem became obvious. She has experienced the vehicle failing to deliver the expected acceleration on a steep uphill slip road, with articulated lorries sounding their horns while she was trying to merge.
She is now frightened of motorway driving and will not drive this vehicle again.
Invicta’s own workshop paperwork records:
“TSO hill start / motorway car keeps going into limp mode.”
Software updates were carried out, but when I personally tested the car the following morning under the same conditions, the issue was still present.
I deliberately continued dealing with Invicta Bolton rather than taking the vehicle elsewhere because I wanted to give the supplying dealer every opportunity to put things right.
I escalated the matter to Steve Featherstone, General Manager at Invicta Bolton, but despite months of correspondence and opportunities to resolve the matter, I still do not have a satisfactory outcome.
I also hold JAECOO dealer technical guidance relating to the SHS system and reduced acceleration under certain operating conditions. The initial guidance dates from 23 January 2026, with a later bulletin dated 2 March 2026.
The explanation now being given through the finance company is that the vehicle was not being driven within manufacturer guidelines because the engine had not been allowed to warm sufficiently before hard acceleration.
That leaves an obvious question:
If this is simply normal operation, why was a TSO raised referring to the vehicle going into limp mode, and why were software updates carried out?
I am not anti-JAECOO or anti-Chinese cars. I still own a BYD Seal Excellence and have experienced software issues with other vehicles that were successfully corrected through OTA updates.
My issue here is not that a modern vehicle developed a problem.
It is the lack of ownership, lack of meaningful communication and lack of an effective resolution after giving Invicta Bolton every reasonable opportunity to put things right.
The matter is now being taken through the formal complaint process and an independent engineering inspection is being arranged.
Very disappointing experience from a main dealer, particularly given the involvement of senior management.
1 star.
INVICTA MOTORS PRESTON

I recently purchased my 2024 A3 Audi car and couldn’t be happier with the experience. From the moment I walked in, Zak Kechil made me feel welcome and at ease. He took the time to understand exactly what I was looking for, answered all my questions with patience, and never made me feel pressured.
His knowledge of the car was impressive, and he guided me through every step of the process, making it smooth and stress-free. I truly appreciated his honesty, professionalism, and friendly approach. Driving away in my new A3 Audi felt amazing, and I have Salesperson Zak Kechil to thank for making it such a positive experience.
If you’re looking for a dealership that values its customers and a salesperson who genuinely cares, I highly recommend asking for Salesperson Zak Kechil
⭐ 1/5
⭐ 1/5 – Extremely disappointing experience
We ordered a brand-new Jaecoo EV5 from Invicta on 12 May 2026 and paid a deposit. Unfortunately, the experience since placing the order has been extremely disappointing, particularly when it comes to communication.
After placing the order, we contacted the branch on multiple occasions trying to get an update on the vehicle. Calls were not returned and nobody was able to give us a confirmed allocation or delivery date, the date of the 1st September was an estimate, Invicta are still unable to tell us when the car is expected.
By August, almost three months after ordering, we were still being told that no vehicle had been allocated to our order. As we need a car for work and had no certainty over when this vehicle would actually arrive, we made the decision to source a vehicle elsewhere and requested the return of our deposit, we were then told by Wendy she was going to call and offer us an Omoda. This is baffling as the manager Gary is still clinging to the September date for the Jaecoo, if you’re expecting this why are your staff offering another vehicle?
Invicta has refused to refund the deposit made. What I find particularly concerning is the explanation we have now received for retaining the deposit. We have been told in writing that “no vehicle had yet been allocated”, but in the same response Invicta stated that the deposit could be retained partly because of costs associated with “securing and then releasing the allocation reserved specifically for your order.”
How can an allocation have been secured and released specifically for our order when we are also being told that no vehicle has ever been allocated?
We were also told that because an alternative vehicle was offered when we cancelled, we had not given the dealership a reasonable opportunity to resolve the situation. However, we ordered a specific vehicle in May. I do not believe a customer should be expected to purchase a completely different model simply because there is still no allocation or confirmed delivery date for the vehicle they actually ordered.
Invicta is relying on an estimated earliest delivery date of September 2026 as its reason for refusing the refund. We have therefore confirmed that we are prepared to allow until 1 September 2026 for them to provide the vehicle ordered. If they cannot do so, we expect our deposit to be returned.
This entire situation could have been handled so differently with good communication and customer service.
Instead, we have had to repeatedly chase for information and are now having to formally complain over the return of our deposit, the sales team have been terrible, I would recommend going to a different branch than deal with the attitude when chasing them.
A very disappointing experience from what should have been an exciting new car purchase.
Poor Dealership
Be wary of dealing with Invicta Motors at Preston. They source cars which have outstanding safety recalls but don’t tell you this at the time you are interested in the car. They also take money to reserve a car and then don’t promptly refund should you not want the car.
Horrendous service department to deal…
Horrendous service department to deal with in Broadstairs booked my car in for MOT needed to speak to them about changing the drop-off time unable to get through on the phones sent various emails no response
MOT came and went today, although I’d already had it done somewhere else still no conversation from the garage asking him where I was today
Horrendous experience
Invicta Motors Preston - ask for Lisel!
Invicta Motors Preston - I've just dealt with Lisel who arranged the servicing of my car - I thought she was brilliant.. very professional, honest, considered and competent.. and thoughtful and helpful too.. I've seen a lot of bad reviews for Invicta but I can thoroughly recommend Lisel.. ask for Lisel..
Invicta Croydon
Invicta Croydon - Mazda service (they took over the Mazda dealership from previous company) - very poor service - tried to advise on work not needed - mot failure due to tyre cracking - I had the tyre changed myself and took back for approval - was made to wait over 2hrs as they wouldn't approve the MOT - then failed to update service history in Mazda app and now one month later I'm told they are no longer a Mazda dealer and if I want the Mazda app to be updated to contact Mazda myself. Really poor customer service from a 'main dealer' - I'd advise keeping well clear and as for purchasing from them - buyer beware!
No Communication Whatsoever
I made a provisional appointment online for my car to have some warranty work done but never heard anything from them to confirm so have had to book it in elsewhere.
I bought a 7-seater from Invicta Motors…
I bought a 7-seater from Invicta Motors in Preston just over a month ago. From the very first interaction, the manager Jordan was cold and dismissive. I asked to negotiate on price — as any buyer would — and he made zero effort. No warmth, no willingness to work with me, nothing to make me feel like a valued customer. I should have walked out then. That was the red flag I ignored, and everything that followed proved it right.
After getting the car home to Manchester, I discovered the pull lever for one of the rear boot seats was missing, and the middle seat lever was malfunctioning — meaning you couldn't properly access the back seats. Faults that should never have left the forecourt. I reported them to Zak immediately. He said he'd order the parts. Days passed — nothing. I chased him. "Delayed." Chased again. "We ordered the wrong part." I was never once contacted proactively. Every update required me to chase, every response a different excuse. They were hoping I'd give up.
For the middle seat, Zak told me to get a quote from a local garage. I did. Then he said it was too expensive and I'd have to bring the car to them in Preston — my expense, my time, for faults that existed at the point of sale.
Fed up, I asked if they'd buy it back. Zak confirmed with Jordan: yes, they'd take it back for around £1,500 less. I called back to confirm. Zak said "just bring it down." Based on his word, I committed to another car elsewhere. Then Zak asked if I'd found something — I told him honestly, yes, from another dealer. Thirty minutes later he called back claiming a sudden "block in the company." Jordan got on the phone — no apology, no accountability. Just: "We're not buying it back." They withdrew the agreement because I wasn't spending more money with them.
I had to cancel the other car. I booked it in for repair, confirmed both parts were in stock before driving from Manchester. Waited an hour and a half. They'd only fixed the middle lever. The rear part was still missing — they didn't even have it. Called me in knowing the job couldn't be completed.
Zak promised to post the part first class with tracking. Almost two weeks later — nothing. No part. No tracking. No message.
After I posted my original review, Darrell called, apologised, and admitted what happened was wrong. Then asked me to take it down. I asked them to cover the £600 difference between what they offered me (£17,105) and what I had to sell for elsewhere (£16,539) after they pulled out. His answer: "Absolutely not." He had nothing else to offer. Just kept saying "I'm not going to argue with you."
He didn't call to help. He called because the review was hurting them. So here it is again, on the correct listing this time. They know they were wrong. They just don't want to be held accountable. Well, now they are.
Rejected Faulty Car, Disappointing Customer Service
I purchased a Renault Kadjar from Invicta Motors Bury on 10 April 2026. Within 17 days I reported a stiff, squeaking clutch. The dealership collected the vehicle and kept it for approximately three weeks before returning it, but the fault remained unresolved.
I formally exercised my right to reject the vehicle under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, but Invicta refused my rejection. I have since raised a Section 75 claim with Lloyds and the dispute is ongoing.
Most recently, Invicta collected the loan vehicle and returned the Kadjar to me. The condition in which it was returned was extremely disappointing. It was very dirty, covered in bird droppings and looked as though it had been left parked under a tree for some time. It gave the impression that very little care or attention had been taken before returning it to a customer.
Throughout this experience I have found communication poor, the handling of my complaint disappointing, and customer care lacking. Based on my experience, I would not recommend purchasing a vehicle from this branch.
Invicta Warrington are awful
Invicta Warrington are awful. The service line is never answered and they never return calls.
No ownership of the mistake, no accountability
We bought a brand‑new Chery Tiggo 8 PHEV after specifically checking with the dealership that it could legally tow our 1,200kg caravan. They assured us multiple times that it could and this was the deciding factor in buying the car.
Only after weeks of chasing did we finally discover that the vehicle cannot tow more than 675kg under UK law, because it has not been homologated . This is basic, legally‑required information that any competent dealer should know. Instead, we were given incorrect towing figures and told “you’ll be fine”.
It took over two months, countless emails, and all the effort on our part to get the car returned. Not once did we receive an apology from Invicta Chery or Chery UK. No ownership of the mistake, no accountability, nothing.
To make matters worse, this mis‑sale ended up costing us £1,000 in total. They basically kept telling us how much it was costing them but £1000 for a family hits hard , much more than losses to a big dealership.
We expected honesty, professionalism, and basic product knowledge from a main dealer. Instead are left out of pocket, and treated as if the issue was somehow ours to solve.
Avoid this dealership for accountability, or even a simple apology when they get things wrong.
Chery UK have never acknowledged or apologies either. Not great for a a new car brand.
Refused to refund my £500 deposit
Refused to refund my £500 deposit after I cancelled an order because I'd been given incorrect information during the sales process.
I spotted the issue the same day and contacted the dealership immediately. Had I been told the correct information, I would never have placed the order.
They still kept my £500.
I took it through the dealership's complaints process and head office, but nothing changed.
Do your own research. Don't rely solely on what you're told, and think very carefully before paying this dealership a deposit.
Just dreadful. Avoid at all costs.
We had to pay for the car before we had seen it.
Odd.
The car itself was fine, apart from no puncture repair kit and no parcel shelf. The explanation was 'It's a used car'. No apology. Eventually, these items did appear.
Our "salesperson' repeatedly kept leaving us and speaking to other individuals- no explanation. She didn't have the car ready. She didn't have the paperwork ready. We were there for over an hour to collect a car we had already paid for. Despite the amount of time we spent there, we received no formal handover and no presentation of the car. No explanation of the basic controls.
We were told by two people that the car was taxed. It wasn't. A simple DVLA check revealed this.
We couldn't tax the car as it was a previous motability car and the taxation class was 'disabled'. The sales girl told us we had to go to the post office to tax it. So we had to drive an untaxed car on the road. No offer of a lift. No fuel in it either - the fuel gauge didn't budge a millimetre.
The is a very different experience from other dealerships I have bought from.
This wasn't a salesperson we were dealing with, it was just an admin girl, and an incompetent one at that.
All in all then, one of the worst car buying experiences ever. The sales girl sucked all of the joy out of buying a car.
This dealership isn't really worth one star, but it's the least I can give.
Don't sign anything even if just told that you don't need to read it
Please think twice before using this dealership, I had a very stressful 24 hours, after viewing a Toyota car yesterday, issues are:
Misrepresentation regarding the refundability of the deposit.
A lack of transparency concerning finance terms and costs.
The issue with sales person obtaining of signatures on documents without sufficient explanation as to their purpose and implications.
Sales practices which I experienced as placing undue pressure upon me to make decisions.
I wasn't told that a search on my credit file was performed, I have concerns that this may have a detrimental effect should I need to use any car finance for a car purchase going forward.
I was interested in a car that they are…
I was interested in a car that they are advertising on their site and ebay site. I've messaged them with absolutely no reply to a simple question.. (is it ready for viewing) waited and waited with no reply.. do you know what??? Keep it!!! I'm now not interested.. you deserve a no star for POOR customer service.
Too expensive £1000.00 to change cam…
Too expensive £1000.00 to change cam belt??????? Bolton Renault £650.00 . And that price was on top of the service price?. They gas lit me saying the price is discounted from £1150. Who are trying to kid absolutely disgusting i shall be complaining and leaving review. And before you ask Bolton Renault would use Renault parts. At least ritchard turpin had a mask. It wouldn't let my put d##k.😁
We went to test drive a car
We went to test drive a car. We were happy to buy it but felt we were been pressured to pay an extra £1600 warranty fee then an extra charge of £399 to set the package up.
We went away to discuss and then went back less than an hour later to say we would like to buy the car in cash with no warranty. Then within 60 seconds of chatting to the female assistant she told us the car had been sold. We thought that was a bit odd but left anyway. The manager smirked at us on our way out. The car was then reserved for the next 4 days (we think the manager did this on purpose) as the car is now back up for sale. Wouldn't you think they would call us to say it's back up for sale.... don't be silly! They clearly don't want to sell cars without you buying a £1600 warranty package and charging an extra £399 to set it up. The manager also got aggressive. I would not trust them at all! Lovely showroom but dodgy car dealers. Wouldn't buy the car now even if they offered it to me for half price.
