The Hardware and software is great. But no help in setup issues
The Hardware and software is great, but basically you're in your own to fix possible issues, there is not a a way to get some costumer service for setup and tech guidance for not tech savy people, you rely on The Forum and reddit post, where they teach how to solve said issues

The support got back to me immediately, very helpful. I had issues authorizing orchestral percussion within Philharmonic 2. Went through forums after forums. Contacted support came back immediately to assist but looked like was a bigger issue. They decided to dig deep into it. I totally forgot and got busy with other things. Then one day after several months I contacted them thinking they would have forgotten. But they came back immediately and assisted and resolved my issue. So for anyone having similar issues make sure Sample tank 4 CS is installed too.

Tout bonnement incroyable, le service est au TOP, les produits qu'ils vendent sont d'excellentes qualité, je ne m'attendais pas à ça, je suis vraiment bluffé par la qualité des sons. Je suis très ravis, que ce soit du service, des logiciels (Plugins) ou du launcher.
Hardware gut Support katastrophal!
Hardware gut. Ich habe mir einen Synthesizer von IK Multimedia gekauft und war sehr glücklich. Es gab aber ein Problem mit der Windows Software und ich habe den Support kontaktiert. Habe auch eine Ticketnummer bekommen. Nur hat sich NIEMAND gemeldet. OK, wenn ich meinen Synthesizer nicht nutzen kann, schicke ich ihn eben zurück. Diese Firma hat guten Support wohl nicht nötig. Entweder ist es Arroganz, Ignoranz oder die Kapazitäten fehlen. So oder so wurde ich im Stich gelassen. Ich werde entsprechen nie wieder Produkte von IK Multimedia kaufen.
Great Pgm plus Best Customer Support Ever
I am amazed at the quality and variety of amps, effects and customization in Amplitube 5 Max. I had a tricky setup challenge after having to restore Windows 11. IK Multimedia responded to my concerns within HOURS, not days or weeks. They talked me through the process with multiple responses to my difficulties. They completely resolved the problem, which was caused by me, not by Amplitube 5. Best customer service in the industry.

I had a problem with my serial number and my hardware registration. After writing to the customer service they were very kind and helped me to solve the problem in 24 hours. I am really happy about that and with the device I bought.

Buongiorno... per motivi sconosciuti....non riuscivo piu ad accedere al mio account , e la password , anche se l avevo scritta a parte in agenda, non la accettava piu, ho tentato un paio di volte a recuperare i miei dati e il reset della password. Direttamente dal sito di ik.....ma nella mail non arrivava nulla.....Ho provato a scrivere una e-mail al supporto tecnico... che ringrazio tanto per l assistenza, che durante le feste Natalizie e fine anno. Che rapidamente mi hanno risposto e intervenuti subito risolvendo il mio problema. E restituendomi l accesso al download del software Ik amplitube 5

Never again. 3 units fail. Terrible support experience..
Bought an iRigPro i/o from Amazon. Didn't work. Got a replacement, didn't work. When I say didn't work I mean crashed my iPad, monitoring rarely worked, the sound was staticy, all things others have reported.
Contacted IK and they sent a 3rd, didn't work right. I proved to IK over and over for MONTHS including sending video showing it crashing my iPad that their product did not work as advertised and often they emailed back asking me the same questions over and over. I would answer, re-answer and then ask them questions which THEY NEVER ANSWERED. Literally MONTHS of on and off emailing. All in all with the unit and adapter it's like $225. I will never, ever, ever buy an IK product again. I need reliable equipment and customer service that stands behind their products.
UPDATE 1:
Since IK's reply below (going on 25+ email exchanges now). I have put in so many hours doing every single thing asked. Try this cord, that cord, this unit, try with PC, etc. It's exhausting. I've proven it's not the cords and even if it is a faulty power adapter the unit should work without one which they don't ever address in my questions. They are asking what cords came in the box? And I am still answering the same questions over and over which is what so many other 1 star reviews here say.
UPDATE 2:
Apparently I was just issued a refund. (I just discovered notification of it in one of the many emails.) Thankful for that. I won't get a refund for the expensive power adapter which isn't great, but it's something. Lesson learned.
UPDATE 3:
In full transparency, IK is offering to investigate a refund for the power adapter. I'm not going mess with it because getting the invoice from an old account I used at Sweetwater isn't going to be easy.
As to IK's latest updated about this being a "one of" situation, I tested their second and third replacement units with multiple lightning cables and in different hookups with headphones, in different orders of hookup and sent them ips iPad crash data. I suspected all along this was a power issue. The ips data confirmed it was related to an "audio device" and a panic kernel.
IK Multimedia wrote me, "...there is a difference in the Lightning and USB-C connection and what it offers that does not provide an equal comparison... USB-C is a different and more robust connection offering faster data transfer speeds and higher power delivery, so the functionality there can be slightly different vs. the iPad 7th gen which uses the more limited Lightning connection... The iRig Pro IO offers phantom power and MIDI which requires more power. In order to use the iRig Pro IO on the iPad 7th gen, you must use batteries or a PSU... I am happy to pass along your feedback and interest in seeing basic functionality with power being received from the connected iPhone/iPad only."
So, I don't see how my situation can be "one of" if it is known the 7th gen iPad is a special situation, a USB-C connection (which I can't use) works better, it DOES need a power source and they will look into this further.
If you buy any iRig product and it keeps failing to monitor or you have power issues you can try IK Support. Read the other one star reviews here though. I wished I had just returned this months ago. Never again will I purchase an IK Multimedia product. Too bad because my old iRigHD has been flawless.
UPDATE 4:
Being told some iPad models like 7th gen. must use a different lightning cable the 20/28 AWG which does not currently come with the unit and is not searchable on the IK Multimedia site.
