Ifuruisland Omdömen 4

Went last year for our 10th anniversary and going back this year. The ceremony was amazing and the team organizing it was very competent. Everything about Ifuru is magical. Staff is simply welcoming and pleasant all the time. We would easily name all of them here but there is no enough space. My husband and I agreed that it was the best place we have visited (we travel a lot). That's why we are going back and we can't wait to be there.

My partner and I recently enjoyed a wonderful 7 nights on the new island resort Ifuru in the Maldives.

Our accommodation in Villa 303 was perfect. Just 30 metres from the ocean, lots of shade and just a 1 minute walk to the main restaurant, the pool and Hubba Hubba bar.

One of the highlights was the Waterfront restaurant, where we ate 4 times and were very well looked after by Yadde, Ganeesh and the Bar Manager (ask for a “Flaming Lamborghini Cocktail). In particular,Yadde provided friendly professional service and made us feel very special and welcome.

Yadde was also the Celebrant for our Commitment Ceremony, which was beautifully conducted and left us with memories we will never forget.

The main restaurant was very good for lunch and dinner, although we felt breakfast could have been better as the fresh fruit and some other choices were not really up to 5 star standard.

We each had 2 wonderful massages at Galaxy Spa, the masseuses Anister and Keder were excellent. I can’t recall the name of the Indian Spa Manager but he was also excellent, knowledgeable and made us feel very welcome.

We also loved our daily cocktails by the pool and the Hubba Hubba bar. These are unlimited and generously provided by the bar staff.

The pool was kept spotlessly clean and the ocean crystal clear. Unfortunately, almost all the coral was dead as it is throughout the Maldives but the water was around 28 degrees C and perfect to swim in.

A tip for all visiting the Maldives – don’t choose a villa over the water as these do not have any shade and many are a long walk from all the facilities.

The only big negative was the time it took to get there from Perth, Western Australia where we live. Of course this is no fault of the resort but with 3 flights and long waits at Singapore and Male between flights
it took almost 24 hours for each trip there and back.

We are very keen to return next year but will probably stop over in Singapore to make it easier.

The wonderful Adam met us in Male and wafted us seamlessly through the crowds and onto our final flight to Ifuru. The perfect start to a magical holiday.

My time spent on Ifuru was nothing short of a beautiful dream. From the warm and friendly welcome of the amazing staff to the final waft of the wonderful Adam at the sea plane through departures at Mali.
Ifuru, I left a little bit of my heart with you. Thank you for the magic.

I have just had the most glorious week on Ifuru Island and I cannot fault it. It was magical from start to finish. A week where I bathed in sunshine, lost myself to the angels in the spa and gently bobbed about in the turquoise sea with not a care in the world, chatting with turtles and rays.
A magical island where I spent my days learning to stand up paddle, dive and snorkel, befriending dolphins as I went. Staff quickly became friends and I ate and drank like a King.
My highlight? Cooling off in my outdoor shower then falling asleep to the sound of gently lapping waves.
It was utter bliss...I wasn't quite brave enough to try out the sky- diving but I will put this on my to-do list for when I return - which I hope to do very soon. I have travelled to many wonderful destinations around the globe and I can't recall being on the receiving end of such warm, friendly, service before, the staff are amazing. We arrived on Ifuru Island on a small domestic flight and we were given a real treat on departure - we were whisked away on a speedboat and then a seaplane - it was incredible. We really, really didn't want to leave but this made saying goodbye a little easier. I returned to the UK and now spending my days working on a plan to return to Ifuru - I can't wait!
