Our previous provider rejected too many legitimate users, especially from markets outside Western Europe. We'd get support tickets from real people who couldn't get past KYC, and by the time we manually approved them, half had already gone to a competitor. Since switching to iDenfy, approval rates on first attempt went up noticeably, and the complaints about verification being "broken" have basically stopped.

Verification accuracy is the best we've tested especially on African and South Asian documents, which our previous provider struggled with badly. The liveness check feels natural to users and we barely get complaints about it anymore. My one gripe is that the white-label options for the verification screen could be a bit more flexible. We'd like more control over fonts and button styles.
Any identity verification tool works…
Any identity verification tool works fine when the documents are clean and the selfie is well-lit. What impressed us was how iDenfy handles the messy cases of expired temporary IDs, low-resolution scans from older phones, and documents in non latin scripts. Those used to pile up in our manual review queue. Now the AI + human review catches most of them without our team getting involved at all.

We're a high volume platform and roughly 15-20% of our verification attempts are fraud attempts that fail immediately, like deepfakes, stolen documents, repeat offenders. With our old provider, we were paying for every single one of those failed attempts, iDenfy only charges for successful verifications, which cuts our monthly verification bill by about a third. Sounds like a small pricing difference, but at our volume, it's tens of thousands per quarter.

Signing up for the platform was actually harder than getting verified.Scanned my ID card, took one selfie, and that was it. Got approved within a couple of minutes. No uploading utility bills, no waiting days for a human to check it which is how this used to work a few years ago and I hated it.

The reps are rude
The reps are rude. Features you buy don't show up until you ask them to activate them. Constant back and forth with tech support. If you want something that just works, this isn't it.
I literally subscribed to this tool…
I literally subscribed to this tool yesterday after running through the free trial. The free trial was great. However, from the first moment I generated a code, none of my users have been able to get the SMS verification code. We tried two different users in two different countries plus myself. I contacted support yesterday and today during their support hours. Their stupid robot says that the team is unavailable and opened a support ticket for me. Of course, immediately after the robot said the team is not available, it said, "I'm connecting you with a teammate now." And then the next message was "Our team is not available right now." Very, very confusing customer experience.
I'm going to cancel my account because you can't just have no support available when people are trying to conduct business, and your tool is blocking them. And then nod off to support those people when they need it during the business hours that you state that you're available.
Really inconvenient
The site sucks to use. My VPS provider asked me to verify using idenfy. What I wasn't prepared for is:
a. I tried using my desktop computer first. I don't have a webcam and they REQUIRE taking fresh pics instead of uploading them.
b. When I scanned the QR code and opened it on mobile, they told me my browser is not supported. I use firefox for android.
c. When I opened the same link in chrome, taking a picture of my passport was a nightmare. It seems that they expect me to USE A FRONTAL CAMERA to snap a picture of a document. HOW? The rear camera was mirrored in such a way that lining up a shot was incredibly difficult.

Terrible experience trying to use this piece of rubbish. They cost Hetzner a customer by making me upload my passport, my national ID and my drivers license and rejecting them all as invalid for no apparent reason.
If I see this shite again while signing up for a service I am out as soon as I see it.

Very poor. Using it for tunecore. I wonder why tunecore choose this company. I've used many other verification systems that work. But this is not automated. Verification pending. Could take up to
1 hour. Then 10 hours later session expires. Try again.
Disrespectful sales rep
Booked a sales call with them via their booking link, which included Saturday slots. I got multiple email follow-ups reminding me of the meeting, including 1h before the call. I join, nobody's there. I email the sales rep, and I get a response comprising only of "It seems you somehow you booked a call for weekend. Please reachedule for Monday." So it's my problem that I booked an open slot in your calendar, and there's no reason to say sorry for anything? Goes a long way in attracting customers :)
