First class service
First class service. Business rates are ridiculously complicated, but Arpan and his team helped me to firstly understand the system and then they achieved good reductions to our premises' rateable value keeping me updated all the way through the process. Unlike other companies I have used there is always someone at the end of a phone to patiently discuss and explain the process and the current state of play.

Total Scam
Came with thier flashy information folder. Promised the world took our money then submitted a survey and report that did not meet Govenment guidelines basicly a 5 year old could have done better. This was rejected by Gov.uk. They had a timelimit to appeal which again said they would then surprise surprise they ghosted us 10 weeks before the appeal. We now have an additional 10K increase in our rate.

A procedural refusal does not necessarily mean that the survey or valuation evidence lacked merit. The VOA can require further detail explaining how evidence supports the grounds and proposed alteration, after which the available options must be reviewed.
A subsequent increase in rateable value may also result from a national revaluation or a VOA decision and is not automatically caused by an appeal. We would need to examine your account before commenting on the specific £10,000 increase.

Terrible company!
HS Consultancy initially got us a rate refund of a few thousand pounds. Part of this refund was used up in paying HS Consultancy and now as a result of their work we have had a visit from the rating office and have received a hefty bill of £20,000 and increased rates going forward. We couldn't get HS Consultancy to speak to us on the phone or to reply to emails, so we posted a bad review on Google. As a result of this they got in contact and supposedly tried to get back on the case and get our rates sorted. Now 2 years later we are back in the same situation where they won't respond to any emails and we have got nowhere! I would avoid using this company at all costs. And before they try and say I am not a client of theirs I am a director of Envoprint Ltd!

The subsequent £20,000 bill and increased assessment were issued by the VOA, which retains the authority to inspect properties and amend rateable values. However, we appreciate that this development required a clear explanation and continued support from our team.
We take your concerns regarding unanswered calls and emails seriously and recognise that communication is an area in which we are making improvements. We are strengthening our case-monitoring, response-management and client-update procedures.

Avoid
Contacted me in regard to looking at our rates. Looked interesting, so invited them in to do the work and liaise with the local council.
Had to pay a couple of grand up front. this has been going on for about two years. I get local government goes slow, but these are far better for non disclosure.
Anyway, after telling me I have very good case, it keeps getting rejected. I have contacted them a couple of time, but I seem to have been ghosted

An initial assessment of strong grounds represents a professional opinion based on the evidence available, rather than a guaranteed reduction. A rejection may also relate to a particular stage or procedural requirement and does not necessarily mean that no further avenue is available.
We are sorry that you have struggled to obtain a clear update. We are improving our response management, case monitoring and client-update procedures to provide more consistent communication.

Repeated nuisance phone calls
Repeated nuisance phone calls. We are on the telephone preference service and should receive no cold calls at all. Despite promises to 'take our number off their list' and complaints from the TPS to them they keep calling July, January and February so far.
