Dreadful service and missing, damaged and incorrect items
Due to negligence of the Howdens Stretford store, I’m due to go without a kitchen over the Christmas period and for another month.
This negligence covers four areas:
1. Items missing, incorrect, and damaged
2. Dreadfully slow service and repeated delays
3. Inability to escalate complaints
4. Significant financial repercussions as a result
Firstly, 4 crucial items were delayed due to damages. Of the Items delivered despite what was written on the invoice, 8 items were still missing. Further items were also incorrect to the design or damaged.
Secondly, took over 3 months for the kitchen to be designed despite already having a design from another kitchen provider. The average response from the designer was over a week and continually had to chase in order to do basic tasks such as making the payment and making minor changes.
Thirdly, was unable to escalate complaints to the store manager despite repeated calls. This is despite the fact that I requested to transfer to another Howdens store in order to receive a better quality service which was denied under reassurances service would be significantly improved. There isn't a complaints email advertised online so I was left to trust reassurances despite mistrust. If a particular Howdens store is exceptionally busy they should allow customers the ability to move to a quieter store based on their best interests.
Lastly, the kitchen is still missing over 12 crucial parts and because of delays, my builder is no longer available meaning I'm going to have to wait another month without a kitchen. I've had to pay for the builders time trying to investigate missing and damaged parts when it should have been spent building the kitchen.
Awaiting for a response from Howdens but once received will update the review accordingly.

Excellent experience all round
I had the pleasure of having this Stretford branch design and fit my kitchen, which is absolutely beautiful I love it, My kitchen designer Ally Ratchford came to my home and listened to exactly what I wanted and how I wanted it, she then came back to me with the most beautiful design of kitchen, it is stunning, I must also mention the wonderful Manager at this branch Zora Herbert, I am so impressed with her as in the odd occasion Ally was with another client Zora knew exactly how to answer my question which to me shows she has her finger on the button so to speak at all times, I highly recommend using this company It has been an excellent experience all round for me in getting my beautiful new kitchen.
