Howdens - Leicester City Omdömen 

The whole process from discussing my ideas to working out the design and choosing the kitchen items and then working with trusted and skilled fitters to install the kitchen was an efficient and pleasant experience.

Great kitchen units... But that's where everything ends.

There is NO AFTER SALES support or CUSTOMERS SERVICES.

Howden's policy is designed to be 100% in their favour.

You can buy a whole kitchen with incredible guarantees (on paper).

However few years later should you require any spares, you can forget Howden helping you out

They will use their 'trade' policy and expect you to go through a builder to buy a e.g. replacement door.

1) First you need to find a builder.
2) Pay the builder to use his account.
So a simple door could end up costing you a price of a full unit from Wren kitchen or B&Q.

Worst part of it is, should you need to claim on your guarantee, you might have to go through the buider, who may have ceased trading.

Try emailing them. You will receive their acknowledgement email but there IS NO FOLLOW AT ALL.

I contacted 2 Howden retailers in Leicester, and neither has followed this up.

Howden has found a business model that's hard for anyone to get spares and I'm sure even harder to file any warranty claims.

So it seems, taking things seriously is so high the priority list that 10 days on, there's no updates from them, not even for any details to carry out investigations!!!

People, beware of this Legal scam they've stumbled on.

This is a feedback on the design quality (Howdens Leicester City). Mine is a small kitchen without much of a fuss. However, the designer ignored the casing in the corner of the room for the waste pipe. Based on her design, either one has to cut open the cabinet or cut open the waste pipe casing and shove the cabinet in. We tried doing the second, otherwise the design was coming out to be wrong on the other end. The designer wasn't even ready to accept the mistake and wanted me to repurpose a plinth panel to cover the empty space without understanding that this doesn't have finished sides along the length. I had to spend additional £ to buy an end panel + extra work. Howdens should reimburse me for this. The designer has a pretty tunneled vision and I wonder why she even bothered to visit my place for measurement. Will I recommend them to anyone? NO!

As always when I visit howdens Leics city they are always helpful and friendly even to the point you get a free coffee/tea/chocolate or a cold drink and a bar of chocolate !!! They more often than not have what you require in stock but if not they will source it at another branch

Journeying into renovating my kitchen as a single mum is daunting, but Howdens and especially Cerise has helped me every step of the way. I feel safe in her hands and she is so good at what she does. Cerise is professional, positive, helpful, caring understanding and down to earth. She gets the pressures of day to day life and her designs incorporate that. I would only ever use Howdens going forward.

These are the worst company I have ever dealt with. Started in November and still trying to resolve issues now and we are nearly at the end of March. Don't waste your time with the freeman's park shop. Horrendous service. The person we got assigned was terrible didn't have a clue and had the audacity to refuse to speak to us because we were stressing her out. Our kitchen delivery was supposed to be 30th November 2022. We got wrong items sent and this went on until after Chrismas. I went 5 weeks without a kitchen because of their complete mess up. I had deliveries everyday for 2 weeks as they kept getting the orders wrong. This went on and on. My husand had to return one cupboard and pick up a correct one as they sent 2 different sizes and my builder was there ready to fit. It should have been a fitting of 4.5 days not 5 weeks! The bulk of the kitchen was fitted a week before Christmas but then one cupboard couldn't be completed until after Christmas due to missing items still. I was sent 3 different work tops, then turns out this is because the person dealing with us had put 3 different work tops on our quote. We were then asked for another 1200 otherwise the actual work tops could not be delivered because we had so much stock in our house that we hadn't actually ordered. We asked for a larder corner unit, even shown the picture from their catalogue of what we wanted. This wasn't ordered and we eneded up with a walk in cupboard, when questioned about this the person said she hadn't sold a lot of these so didn't know what she was doing, and so more money was required to rectify this. The plans we had signed off on were changed without our consent and so the finish isn't what we expected. The edging of some of the cupboards is pretty poor too and is already deteriorating. We were told they would allocate everything back and credit back all the wrong items. We had dealt directly with howdens, made payment to them directly because I was called day before delivery saying I needed to pay before they could release anything. This was wrong as my builder had authorised them to use his account. Then my builders account was put into arrears because they said we owed them 1200, even though we hadnt been going through my builders account as they requested payment direct. We didnt even know it was an option to use my builders account but my builder said he was called to authorise this! I was called beginning of march for further payment. It took another couple of weeks for this to be sorted as they orignally wanted 1200! For what i have no idea! My builder called and said Alex or Nikki would call me regarding the actual balance. I asked for a break of everything showing what was credited back and what the balance is. Now I'm being told they dealt with all my issues in a timely manner and they can't give me a breakdown because they don't deal with the public direct. What company is this!!!!! You take thousands of pounds off us directly and have dealt with us directly and now you want a final balance and won't tell us the break down! Would you pay for something without an invoice or receipt! The amount outstanding has changed constantly so I don't even know what is expected and you can't tell me! I would keep clear of this place! After speaking to family and friends, they experienced a lot of issues also, I have encouraged them to write reviews as this company is not fit for purpose. My next stop is trading standards.

Great local professional company with fantastic staff, always offering a competitive service.

The planning stage was lovely, smiles laughter etc. Nikki and some of her team are just unbearable to deal with. Knowing the many many issues I faced with my order, I still have now ended up with scratched cabinet doors and drawers that my fitter had to basically fit from scratch as though it was a bespoke kitchen furniture. Only when it is conveniently for them, they remind you of their terms and conditions.

Staff is not friendly specially when you are NOT english ! Wanted to set up my online account and no one from the staff helped me , they always say : will call you monday and they never call . Disappointed.
