Howdens - Kings Heath Omdömen 17

I wanted to write this review and give huge shout-out to the Team at Howdens, Kings Heath, Birmingham depot. We have never been in the position before to buy a new kitchen and so like everyone else we went to market and invited company's to design and quote. Howdens sent Mark McMullen to us. Right from the off, Mark's knowledge, suggestions for layout and overall advice was not matched by the other companies. He was truly impressive.
After comparing quotes we decided to approach Mark again for a final cost. We got an amazing, top-of-the-range, exceptional quality complete Howdens kitchen for a amazing price. Thank you Mark.
The kitchen was delivered to us on the day at the exact hour as promised 6 weeks earlier. The complete kitchen was comprised of hundreds of different pieces and parts and I was confident within myself that some bits would be missing. To my astonishment at the end of the fit, every single part that was required was there and there was no missing bits. Well done Howdens central warehouse and distribution Team.
After the fit was completed the kitchen fitters we used had utilised some of the off-cuts from end panels as panels, which meant that we had some parts that were still in the original packaging possibly, i thought, returnable.
I spoke to Jack Deavs, the Trade Counter 'Boss' at their branch in Kings Heath. He was absolutely brilliant, what a polite, helpful and patient man. Thank you for your brilliant help and support Jack.
Finally, there was a bit of an issue with obtaining the refund for the returned and unused bits, not Howdens fault but with the account holder being awkward.
Adrian Roycroft the branch Manager at Kings Heath, did all of the chasing for me in the relation to the account holder and the refund (and there was a lot of chasing) and eventually informed me that my refund was ready to process, which was done promptly once authorisation was gained.
In a world where consumers are constantly being let down and left disappointed with broken promises by big organisations and companies, with sometimes rude, unhelpful staff and inefficient processes, Howdens is a breath of fresh air.
From end-to-end, the transaction was as smooth as it could have been. Along the way I was met with the most polite, professional, knowledgeable and helpful people you could ever wish for.
It was an absolute pleasure to purchase from Howdens and their staff at the Kings Heath, Birmingham branch are are real asset to the whole company.
Well done Howdens! 10 out-of-10, it could not have gone any better!
Just one very important point of feedback, if I may please - you should allow retail consumers like me purchase directly. By having this method of only allowing Howdens account holders to buy goods and services, you are denying ordinary families like us the opportunity to directly buy exceptionally high quality products, at very reasonable prices and denying everyday citizens the amazing customer service experience that, for example, these chaps at the Kings Heath branch advocated.
It might be time to change this account holder only system...just a thought and not intended to be a critique of any type.

Dealt with Ade + Jack for our not so simple kitchen design, They were really knowledgeable and were key in bringing our vision to life .. Unlike other kitchen suppliers , they actually gave us work arounds that would work for our space , but still giving the kitchen we asked for .. Thanks Lads !!

WHAT CAN I SAY, WE HAD MAJOR BUILDER / KITCHEN FITTER ISSUES FOR MY 84 YEAR MOTHERS HOUSE, I CONTACTED HOWDENS KINGS HEATH AND SPOKE TO JACK WHO COULDNT HAVE BEEN MORE HELPFUL. AFTER FINIDING A NEW KITCHEN FITTER HOWEDENS SENT OUT SCOTT WHO DID A NEW PLAN FOR THE KITCHEN AND PROVIDED DRAWINGS AND COSTS VERY QUICKLY. I THEN VISITED HOWDENS TO LOOK AT FLOORING SAMPLES WITH MY MOTHER, ALL OF THE TEAM AT KINGS HEATH WERE SO FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL WE EVEN SPOKE TO ADE THE STORE MANAGER WHO CAME OVER TO OFFER ADDITIONAL ADVISE IN CHOSING THE FLOOR.
I WOULD NOT HESITATE TO RECCOMEND THIS STORE, THEY ARE POLITE PROFESSIONAL AND FRIENDLY AND I CANT THANK THEM ALL ENOUGH FOR THE SUPPORT THEY HAVE GIVEN US.
