Howdens - Denton Omdömen 37

My experience with Pete and Milly has been nothing but positive. I placed a large order of 39 doors with paint, differing locks/latches and handles. Their assistance from taking the order (which I did change a few times!) through to delivery was invaluable. They were proactive in ensuring delivery was prompt and the minor issues I had with the order were dealt with more than fairly. The delivery guys were super helpful too…..they were more than happy to put my order in various places in my house. Denton isn’t my closest store but I would definitely travel back there for any future purchases.

Can someone explain, why there is a fair price difference between stores ?
One week ago l bought 2 doors and fittings from a nearby branch.
Next purchase, for the same job,
Exactly the same products bought, identical codes etc, less discount given And higher cost price.
Overall about £80 dearer ? !!!!

As the partner of the person who raised the original complaint, I feel compelled to leave a second review because the situation with Howdens has been so frustrating — and still unresolved.

We purchased several Dordogne Oak unfinished fire doors, specifically asking two different Howdens branches whether they would match the standard Dordogne doors in appearance. Both assured us — wrongly — that they would. We even have audio recordings confirming this. Yet when the fire doors arrived, they were clearly different: the groove depth doesn’t match at all. These were supposed to be identical.

This isn’t just a product issue — it’s blatant mis-selling. But what’s worse is Howdens' refusal to take any responsibility. They’ve brushed it off entirely, hiding behind their “trade-only” policy, despite the fact that we (as end customers) were directly involved in the conversations and the selection. Their customer service has been appalling — evasive, unresponsive, and unhelpful. We're left chasing them week after week, only to get vague or dismissive replies — often conveniently sent right before the weekend.

We’ve spent a significant amount of money with Howdens through our builder. Yet when their own staff give factually incorrect advice, they offer nothing in return but silence and excuses. Now we’re stuck with mismatched doors throughout our home, due to no fault of our own. It’s unacceptable.

To make matters worse, we are still waiting — after multiple chases — for anyone at Howdens to come back to us with a proper response or even take accountability. No one seems interested in resolving this.

We still hope Howdens will do the right thing — but if not, we’re fully prepared to escalate this further. The evidence speaks for itself. This has been a deeply disappointing experience. We just want to finish our renovation and move back into our house….

Great design for a kitchen & good quality product.

I've had a great experience with Howdens — both the quality of their products and the professionalism of their staff really stood out.

Was very well looked after by Peter Noon from the Denton Branch of Howdens. He was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about all the ranges and appliances available. Any queries were dealt with very quickly and all the staff were great on the phone and in person.
I chose the Black Halesworth range which looks fantastic. I am very pleased! Thanks

I visited Howdens in Denton last week and received all the help and advice that I come to expect from a very well run, enthusiastic and knowledgeable team who advised me with my purchases every step of the way.
It’s not very often this happens these days, so therefore i really appreciated it.

I can only praise Teresa at Howdens Denton for making the kitchen of my dreams become a reality. There was so much attention to detail that went into the planning and design of the kitchen and nothing was ever too much trouble. Great communication throughout the whole process. All my friends want a kitchen like mine now!

Excellent kitchen design layout as all areas easily accessible. Designer Simone helped me decide on the finish. I had time and space to change my mind on a couple of details which was not a problem. Delivery went well, thanks chaps and installation happened the next week by the builder. Happy Customer!
