James was extreme helpful, friendly, professional and made the whole experience really pleasant. Thank you very much for your help and we will definitely be back to see you again!

No staff on the C&C counter. Another person eventually left their checkout to help me, but they didn’t know how to access my order on the system. All took too much time.

I went to the till to request to purchase 10 rolls of turf (kept outside the front entrance)
I payed the bill and in the same instance realised I had used the wrong payment card. I asked if I could refund it and pay again with the correct card.
The cashier ‘huffed’, rolled her eyes and proceeded to carry out the refund clearly frustrated. Not once did I get eye contact or even customer service conversation.
Looking at my 3 receipts (purchase/refund/purchase) the whole transaction took 47 seconds.
47 seconds! Not a single person behind me in the queue. Upon leaving, she just stood on her station. I hadn’t interrupted her day-she was there to serve, but clearly I was an inconvenience to her busily doing nothing.

I collected my order from the Oxford branch on Tuesday 30th July and I was told I had nabbed the last one. I was served by a man in a black teeshirt who said they had asked another member of staff to assist. A chap wearing green turned up to help move the biggest box I had ever seen! Automatically I questioned whether I could get the ginormous box in my CRV but that didn’t deter the Homebase workers. They worked well together and helped me transfer some of the rubbish left in my boot (how embarrassing) to the front passenger seat. They nearly got the box in but needed to reposition themselves to the backseat so they could heave the box up onto the lip of the seats….. So it was up to me…… It’s a shame I’m such a weakling as I tried to push the box from the boot but I couldn’t get much weight behind it.
All was not lost though as a random customer happen to walk past and he dropped his shoulder and gave the bulky box the push the Homebase workers needed. It was like an Olympic victory all by itself. I’m not ashamed to say I did a little jump for joy when my boot door closed.
Thank you to all involved. I just had the little matter of getting the box out of my boot when I got home but that was a problem for later on in the day!!!

Fantastic customer service from a lady in the garden section a couple of weeks ago (short hair, sorry, I can’t remember her name!)
I wanted two big olive trees, she brought me over a trolley, the two I wanted were at the back and she got them out, put them on the trolley, wheeled them to the checkouts and then to my car and helped me out then in the car (which was no easy task!) she was super friendly and helpful and if she wasn’t there helping me I probably wouldn’t have bought two as I had no idea how I was going to get them home. BIG thank you!!

Linda helped me scan, sort and pack a trolley full of plants I had just bought, even a badly behaved rose. She had lots of time for me, however, she was fast and efficient as a queue was building and she was the only one serving. Excellent service

Nathan Chilcott from the Oxford store saved my life! I had my bathroom fitters booked and of course left it to the last minute to order bathroom suites for both my main and en-suite bathrooms. Nathan was incredibly patient and knowledgeable especially when I turned up without the measurements for one of the bathrooms. His recommendations were excellent and now the results are in I couldn’t be happier. Delivery was fine, unfortunately the incorrect bath was delivered however I called Nathan (who was on holiday) and he took the time out of his break to organise a replacement. Homebase give the man a pay rise! You don’t get service like this anywhere else and Wickes were absolutely useless- they didn’t even turn up for the appointment.

Quick order online. Product in stock. Message less than an hour later saying it was waiting for me at the store.

We asked for delivery to the store of a small mower. It arrived as requested and the assistant on request opened the box and put it together for us - we find self assembly projects fairly impossible. Now we are using the mower regularly

So impressed with the staff. It was Friday when the IT failure occurred and I turned up with no cash. They suggested using click and collect and that there would be a half hour wait to confirm the order, which seemed very reasonable once the order was placed. They were very quick thinking and responded flexibly to the situation they found themselves in, giving a good customer experience in the circumstances as well as making money for the business. Great job

Would like to say a big thank you to Wendy and James for there outstanding customer service skills i had a brush cutter that was faulty at homebase Cowley could not ask for a better service they resolved this issue i had with the product
