Poor Customer Service

To whomever this may concern, that needs to be a root in branch review of the front of house customer Service when
B & Q take over, the 50 year old Peggy Mitchell look alike, needs closest scrutiny.

When you have someone like this - representing your business at front of house, colleagues like this leave a lasting impression of how bad Homebase got early 2025. Some of the worst Customer Service at Homebase Altrincham. Fortunately at business is now closed, and hopefully the start of a new chapter.

Staff really friendly and helpful

I cannot believe the store is closing and all the staff are losing their jobs. They have always been very helpful to me and friendly. The store has just had a big makeover too. I love their garden centre which has been make bigger and now it’s going. I picked up my order and bought more Christmas decorations too The Range store that is nearby is a lot smaller and it doesn’t make sense to me to keep that one open. I hardly ever go in there and when I do I come out empty handed.
I think I shall going to find another store once Homebase closes in. Broadheath

Collected my goods promptly and got texts etc. Came hoke checked on line store is going bust ...again hope you get saved!

Got a great bargain to start with, then arrived at store shortly after and found a young man on customer service desk. He was really polite, served us immediately. Job done! Great service.

Lovely staff, very polite

Excellent pickup no problem the assistant was very helpful and I picked up within an hour of ordering.

Process and ease of purchase excellent. Female staff member on C&C appeared to have a mood issue.
Gave the impression I shouldn’t be there bothering her.

Super helpful kitchen designer, thought outside the box and lovely with it.

Was passed the date for collection and couldn’t find my email/text but not a problem at all for the member of staff, refreshing customer service!

I was in your store earlier and overheard a conversation at the customer support desk.
The chap had an order delivered damaged. Sally offered to take a new one to his house in her lunch time. I don’t know if he took her up on the offer. That’s exceptional customer service.
I’ve left a comment before on the great service. This is why I love going to Homebase.

Very good service from ordering to collection. The staff are outstanding.

It was as mentioned really quick, order was ready for collection in an hour.

The blade broke after 2 minutes. I went to store for a replacement but they made me buy a new one
£120 lawnmower. £20 blade.
I had this exact lawn mower for 7 years previously to buying the new machine.
In future I’ll buy on Amazon or B&Q as the service and aftercare is far better than Homebase

I used the click and collect service, I ordered panelling kits, the kits were visibly damaged, the girl who served me was lovely and she saw the damage immediately and apologised for the inconvenience caused, she and I then walked to where they are situated in the shop and chose non damaged kits.
My point is the person who picked the items originally obviously didn't care, and then the whole point of click and collect is to save time and as customers we put our trust into the staff picking the item as if it was for themselves, I felt annoyed that my time was wasted and the product was damaged, the girl who served me saved you getting a 1* review, so click and collect was a useless, frustrating experience yet it's advertised as a convenience.

Sally was lovely and so helpful! A wonderful experience buying our paint this evening and Sally was excellent she went above and beyond to help us!
