Homebase - Abingdon Omdömen 115

I ordered a sofa from Homebase because it said delivery it should of been delivered today I'm a 64 year old woman with diabetes arthritis in my knee and in my hands so deliver is what i needed i got rid of my old sofa to make way for new one I explained this to someone I spoke to on the 2nd of March was told they would still deliver today is delivery day only to get a message to say because I live on the 3rd floor they cannot deliver to me so now I have nothing to sit on and no idea when or if I'm going to get my sofa for a big company I think this is disgusting I can't sit on the floor as I'm scared that I won't be able to get back up

I’m absolutely appalled by the service I’ve received from such a big company. Send you a faulty item and then do not give you a refund and expect you to package it up for them to collect. Why would I have the original box laying around my house.
NEVER ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY ITS UTTERLY APPLYING SERVICE.

I gave this review because I think the service can be improved. Great products, friendly people but other than that the delivery period was a long wait. I wish they can do something about it because for some people, having a speedy delivery is the standard. Good luck!

Chose it, brought it and collected it

We bought our kitchen from Homebase in Abingdon. Matthew Toms was the person we dealt with in the kitchen department and he was excellent. Unlike other places we visited to look at kitchens, he spent a lot of time helping us figure out what we needed and explaining the options. He continued to be incredibly helpful when we went back to the store with further questions or phoned for more help. We'd highly recommend him for his expertise and for making the experience easy and understandable.

Had what I wanted in stock. Easy to order, easy to collect. What could be better?

Great service

I used Click and Collect and paid online to ensure the item was in stock and that I wouldn't have to queue in store. I knew that parking for the chosen store was usually available. The order was processed quickly. I received a text to tell me the product was available but for some reason I was expecting an email (perhaps because my order was confirmed by email). As I entered the store there was no immediate obvious signage for the Click and Collect counter. I eventually saw the large notice and went to the counter but there was noone there. I found a very pleasant and helpful staff member doing a stock check. She quickly took my order number from my phone (scanning barcode would have been much quicker) and supplied the product without asking for an i.d. My suggestions that clearer signage of the Click and Collect counter at eye level by the entrance and a means of attracting a staff member when the counter was unmanned unfortunately and frustratingly seemed to fall on deaf ears.

When I went to collect I only got given part of my order and had to insist that she looked again and then surprise surprise she found the other part. It’s a good job I went to collect otherwise I would have had to go back again!!
Not very friendly staff. She looked at me and walked back into the picking bit and I had to ask her for help!!

Not nearly enough staff in the store! It is ridiculous! I could have stolen masses had I wished to!

Fantastic new kitchen! Matthew Toms talked me through all of the design bits and really took the time to explain things which (to me) were completely unknown. He was very friendly and approachable, and allowed me to ask what I thought could be ‘silly questions’ (but he said there is no such thing!). The recommended fitter (AJ & team) were equally brilliant! Would 100% recommend.

I ordered 4 items the same only sent 1 has now been 4 days and no resolution to the matter

1st time I’ve done a click and collect. Used it to confirm the paint I wanted was actually in stock. Which it was bought 2*2.5l and used a discount code = cheaper than 5l tin. Other items added to the basket, added code for 10% off and saved even more. Easy pickup in store.

Very helpful staff, even though they were clearly very busy. Also impressed with the Christmas decorations. Lovely lady on the till called Wendy.
