Lesson learned, never again

This was my second year booking here. Last year was wonderful! Condo was very clean, it had the extra items that the contract lists that they wont provide. The beach chairs were included in the rental and we even had covered parking. The price was the best around. Booking was easy and the customer service was 5 star. Shame on me for expecting the same quality and service booking this year. I paid a little more than $2100 for 5 days. I was told you receive a discount if you have booked in the past. Customer service did not honor this when I spoke to them on the phone. This is the only vacation my two children and I take. Unfortunately, my daughter broke her ankle prior to our vacation. I asked customer service if there was anyway to reschedule for another time. My daughter wasn't able to travel, much less could she use crutches on the beach with a cast wrapped up to her knee. I didn't want the money back, just a vacation with my kids. I asked if it was possible to reschedule during the slower winter months. I didn't care what unit they put us in as long as we could reschedule. Customer service advised no rescheduling, no refund, there is nothing they can do to help. I asked about staying a shorter time or if any fees or refund could be issued because we didn't want to come without my daughter. Customer service advised there was nothing they could do. I was willing to provide ER documents and anything that was needed to prove of the emergency. Holiday Isle customer service was of no assistance. I understand contracts and policies but you'd think for certain situations they would be helpful, especially for returning customers. I decided to go without my daughter a day later than our check in date. I regret traveling the 4 hours for what became a nightmare. The unit had a strange smell and was dirty. The stove top was not cleaned and had food crumbs on it. Hair in the master bed, thick, black mold came out of the bathtub drain as soon as you turned the water on, mold was in the shower head, walls, exterior tub, including around the toilet. Body hair was on the walls of the shower and around the toilet. The black mold continued to wash out, floating all into the tub. I attempted to clean it out but there was such a thick build up, pieces of mold continued to float in the water. I wound up purchasing my own cleaning products and we used the small bathroom. We killed a roach and a few bugs inside the condo. There were flyers posted around that the exterminator would be on the property the following week. The elevator floors stay wet, stink, and have no ventilation. Trash shoot can be smelled by the elevators. Beach chairs not included that are an extra $60 a day plus a tip. Last, I became ill and went to the Ft Walton Urgent Care who then sent me to the Ft Walton ER. After a 6 hour ER visit of tests/scans, I was discharged. At that point it was time to pack up and leave. The entire experience was horrible. Again, I understand contracts and policies. Each unit is probably privately owned but they are managed by the same company who has leverage to accommodate and take care of the customers. I had hoped to use this company and stay here every summer but never again! Cleanliness is top priority for me, next is accommodating customers with good service. Its what we pay for. Once I returned home and got well, I wondered why didn't they allow me to get travel insurance when I called several times? Lesson learned!

Great experience and we will be back again.

We spent a week at the Inlet Reef Club. Both the room and the overall facilities were excellent.

The maintenance and cleanliness of the buildings and pool was top notch.

Our kudos to the staff, who were also very friendly and helpful.

We will definitely be back for a longer stay in the future.

quality service

holiday isle does a quality job on their part.... I was a bit disappointed that we were unable to book the inlet reef due to a change in pet policy... our 60 pound golden doodle was no longer allowed.... this was our favorite vacation spot and our golden doodle was a hit with everyone she came in contact with during previous visit.... I truly think that the weight of the pet is not a good indicator of an aggressive pet.... she is a cuddler.... hopefully inlet reef will reconsider their policy

My parents owned one of the two bedroom…

My parents owned one of the two bedroom condos back in the 70’s- 80’s. It was our favorite place to go on vacations!
My family, my brothers family and our Mom flew down for a nostalgic trip and had a blast! So many old memories and we made new memories!

Summertime at Holiday Isle

I have stayed for a summer break at a Holiday Isle property in Destin, FL for the past five years and each time it has been a wonderful experience. The rooms are always clean and prepared for our arrival. Its location to the beach is ideal. My family and always have a fantastic time. I am looking forward to staying with them next year. I highly recommend them

The condo was perfect

The condo was perfect! The photos showed exactly what you are getting, the on site staff were so nice and helpful. I have only one teeny tiny complaint: they don’t provide much trash bags (1) or paper towels (1) etc. but that’s hardly a complaint!!

Seacrest Okaloosa

We have stayed at Seacrest for at least one week in the fall every year for the past 12. This year was the least pleasant. I don’t think it’s a dealbreaker for us as far as Seacrest is concerned, but we will not rebook the same room (unless things have changed, I believe the condos are owned by different people/companies).
A pair of underwear that did not belong to us was found in the condo. Only 3 rolls of toilet paper for 4 people for nearly 6 days. No paper products other than the three rolls of toilet paper (including facial tissue). Common bathroom sink did not drain. Dryer had to be run twice each time, even when it was not a full load. And we were unable to used timed drying at any time. We left a bag there (our fault), but when we called about it, the cleaning service never found it. It is entirely possible that it was accidentally left in the loading area and taken by some random thief, but we can’t take that chance. That’s why we will not stay in 509 again.

These people are ruthless and awful

These people are ruthless and awful. I wouldn't stay at one of their properties for free. We simply wanted to move our reservation by 5 days, due to the incoming cat 4 hurricane and they would not accommodate that request and I paid $300 additional for an insurance policy. They were more worried about their owners receiving commission versus us traveling and making it there safely. All I asked for what to be put in another condo ( not even the same one, just whatever was available) 5 days later after the hurricane passed

Great place-easy to work with.

Stayed in sandpiper cove 9207. The property was beautiful and incredibly clean! Very big and location was fantastic! The owner put a lot of effort into little things, including a bookshelf of books to read at the beach. Checkin was a breeze and booking was no problem even last minute. Had some maintenance issues on the first day and they worked hard to try to get them resolved. Wish the owner was a little more responsive on the exterior maintenance. There is a great view from the master bedroom balcony but you can’t use it because the patio doors are so bad you have to force them open and then they won’t shut. Should have been replaced years ago. Also screens are torn and windows need replacing.

1905E Broken Dreams

My family of 5 stayed in the 1905E penthouse expecting a penthouse worthy experience. We got much less than bargained for from Holiday Isle Properties, Inc. and their broken down excuse of a luxury rental. Normally I don't sweat the "small stuff" but this was just too much...wait until you hear about the beach service.
The rooms and living spaces are beautiful, The view from the balcony is spectacular, just as in the pictures. What the pictures don't show is the damage that has been done to the place and not fixed.
Here is the list: In the upstairs bedroom, one of the four wooden posts on the 4 post bed has broken off at mattress level and lying on the floor. Same bedroom has a closet door with a 5" hole in it. There was spackle and tape on the door and floor where some nitwit tried to hastily patch it and left a mess. Same bedroom, the armoire door wont stay open. There is scotch tape all over the wall where previous tenants have worked out their own fix. (bring a wedge to shove in there if you want to watch TV). Same bedroom, the cable box is blinking and non functional. The Master on the Main was slightly less gruesome with only 3 broken items; Bedside table door is hanging off the hinges, the screen door to the balcony is jammed and will not close and a decorative wooden clock that was once very pretty sits forlorn with the main finial broken off and lying loose. The light over the toilet is non-functional also. The table lamp in the main living room is non functional as well as the light in the vent hood over the stove. Bring your own lightbulbs if you want enlightenment at this place. The kitchen is stocked with the bare minimum so bring your own shrimp deveiners and corn scrubbers if you want to cook your own shrimp boil. Coffee maker gives a nice dose of coffee grounds in your cup, needs to be replaced. The kitchen sink spigot is missing the hand knob. Be careful as you grab the metal threaded stump to access the water, its sharp! And guess what, all of that is not even the worst part!.
Do not expect beach service from Holiday Isle Properties, Inc. The room is rented by Holiday Isle Properties, Inc and they actually have no idea how the beach service at Silver Beach Towers works. We called them from the third tier beach chairs for an explanation and they stammered and replied "I don't know!". Let me explain because this is EXACTLY why you cant rent this place or rent from Holiday Isle Properties, Inc. The actual beach service is run by the SBT beach service subcontractor. You need to get information about reservations from them. The 'third tier' is the third row of beach chairs away from the water. There is no breeze there, there is no view there, there is sand and heat there. So we go from the penthouse to the back row at the beach everyday because we were not informed by Holiday Isle Properties, Inc. They will tell you to check with the beach service when you arrive. Don't listen to them.
I've been coming to Destin for years now and this is the absolute worse experience I have had.
Be warned, Holiday Isle Properties, Inc doesn't care.

Sandpiper Cove

We stayed at Sandpiper Cove unit 8209. It was a studio apartment which was the perfect size for 2 of us. Everything was clean and up to date. It was about a 5 minute walk to the beach because we stayed in the condos across the street. We were given an access code for the beach, you can bring your own chairs or rent them for a decent price. Overall, it was a great experience and we will be staying with them again!

Seacrest Oakaloosa Island: 3Million plus: Upgrades

Holiday Isle has taken our units to a new level with thier Premier program. I invested and this summer paid off.
SEACREST HOA is undertaken a 3 million plus in infastructure upgrade. Each Unit new with get sliding doors and windows with UVC light tint and very insulated from flux in temps. The outside and all area repainted and coated and new look and feel.
This summer challenged renters and owns alike with major issues such as noise , trash , and parking with a small percent of renters. Steps are taken to ensure management handles accordingly. Oakaloosa Island still family friendly and those are Seacrest values and Holiday Isle as well who manages approx half of the units.
