Herringshoes Omdömen 

Herring are not a bad company. I must have bought 10 pairs of shoes from them over the years (maybe more). I have had 1 mild problem that they put right to my satisfaction.

HOWEVER.. I have spent close to £400.00 on some pairs, and a lot lot less when I buy bags, belts or trousers/shirts etc.

I have always enjoyed free delivery (I believe historically this was £50 or £30.00 although I could be incorrect).

When I buy these luxury items (shoes) I always get a plastic branded shoe horn and some cream polish. This is a nice touch although really expected at this price point.

I have just bought a pair of shoes (admittedly on sale).

Now all of a sudden you don’t get a shoe horn, and you don’t get any polish, and you don’t even get free delivery (I think you now do above £150 which is maybe ok on shoes but ridiculous on anything else!). £85 jeans, and £20.00 set of socks and they charge you to buy them!

However they have, in the name of progress, got some scheme allowing you to upgrade to ‘CordWainer’ status so that you now get what you always used to get for free anyway.

CordWainer membership:
- Free delivery and returns. (Delivery should be free and returns arguably would be expected too). (Spend £75 on a belt and pay to have it delivered and if it doesn’t fit pay to have it returned!!)
- Free gifts in the package. If you spend £400.00 on shoes I think a plastic branded shoe horn and some cream (£2 to herring??) is expected?!! It used to be free.
- A named customer relationship manager… Hmm, on a yaught maybe, but for shoes. Really?

Now, plenty of places offer these types of schemes (not with such pretentious names). Next delivery savers etc at £12.00 and such like. The cost to you as a herring customer however. £100.00! I have to repeat that, the cost of free delivery below £150.00, free returns, and a gift in the shoe box is £100.00. Yes one hundred pounds.

I am sorry but if you buy 1 or 2 pairs of shoes a year (it’s £100.00 a year!!) this is insane! And if you buy lots of shoes and such like, really this should be included.

I have ordered several times from Herring Shoes and I've always been impressed with the quality of their products, customer service, and the speed of delivery. The last order has been a similarly good experience and I am sure that I will be returning again!

I bought a briefcase for my son for Xmas, he was really pleased with the style and quality. Unfortunately it developed a fault after about 4 weeks of use. I e mailed Herring and received a reply the next morning. A replacement was despatched the same day and arrived the next day with a pre paid label to return the faulty one. This is "old school" outstanding customer service, a rare thing these days.

I am very satisfied with my purchase, excellent, kind and professional sales and support service. I will definitely buy from them again. Thanks for everything.

Chaussures commandées le 30 novembre, reçues.... le 1er décembre (envoi international).

La qualité est PAR-FAITE. Il s'agit de boots fourrées Herring (modèle Windermere), probablement fabriquées par Cheneys... quoi qu'il en soit, de qualité identique.

Je réalise que nous avons depuis pas mal d'années commandé une quarantaine de paires chez eux et que toutes les commandes ont été excellentes. PAS UN hyatus dont je me souvienne.

Chaque fois, nous avons l'impression que le Père Noël vient de passer: nous sommes comme des enfants quand nous ouvrons le colis.

Vraiment, c'est rassurant de pouvoir compter sur des entreprises sérieuses, mieux... fiables et intègres. C'est une consolation dans cette foire d'empoigne que peut, parfois, être le commerce en ligne.

Depuis deux ou trois ans, ils proposent également des chaussures pour dames. Quelle excellente nouvelle!

I ordered online from this company by chance, and let me tell you, their customer service is absolutely outstanding. Not only do they produce the most beautiful valet boxes which you will keep forever, but if you have any remote issues with anything, they could not do more to be obliging to help. I couldn’t recommend them more highly and will continue to purchase in the future.

As a regular buyer from Herring Shoes their service next day free delivery and prices are excellent.
Nothing is any trouble to them.

Stumbled into this store by accident looking for shoes. As a result, I got on the day of discounts and bought 2 pairs of sneakers. Excellent, comfortable and stylish. And for the price it turned out quite not expensive for such good quality. Now I am their regular customer

I am a size 8, I own the following brands,Loake, Barkers, Cheaney, Adidas, Gola, Saloman, Birkenstocks, all size 8 that fit me perfectly.I bought a pair of Herring own brand size 8. I could fit my thumb between my heel and inside the shoe. I was told that shoes not fitting was not their problem. It has cost me £5 to return them. I certainly will not be revisiting this experience

Excellent customer service (thank you Sean!). I recently purchased two RM Williams boots from them and my experience has
been VERY positive. The quality of the shoes, the promptness of the response to queries, and the lightning fast shipping to the US was superb. Their prices are also vey competitive with other vendors. I plan on doing more business with Herring shoes in the future.

Having originally gone to Barker/Loake for shoes I find this company does it all. They have their own great shoes as well as above brands.
Service is fantastic and prices good.
Having bought 2 of their own brand this month I will stay with them.
I recommend.

I’m a customer from Japan. I’ve been purchasing from Herrings for years. I only buy my leather shoes from Herring. Herrings never disappoints. Quality leather shoes, quick shipping ,fast customer service and satisfaction. Definitely recommended my friends to buy from Herrings.

Extremely disappointed with my Stavanger rubber-soled boots. The quality is good, very comfortable but they squeak like hell every time it rains!
At first I thought it was due to a fault so I sent them back but i was told that it was perfectly normal, that it was only the rubber rubbing off the ground when clearly there is some air that makes that sound.
I was told that it was my fault for wearing them too often or by the wrong weather conditions. So i have a pair of £345 winter boots that I can't wear when it rains or snow. Unless I don't mind the high pitched embarrassing squeaky sound. I hope that no real commando has to wear these commando soles!

What a terrible experience. I usually buy Loake, but just couldn't find my desired shoes. Was told about Herring by a colleague. To summarise, don't buy them if you work an average 5 day week, in fact, if you use them for work, don't buy them, they aren't built for that apparently. I was told wearing them daily or on consecutive days, was too frequent, mind blown. Heaven forbid it rains too, mine lasted less than 3 months and literally fell apart, my fault of course, according to Herring. Absolutely no interest in helping, after complaining, all I had was an unnecessarily long pre-written email explaining why it was my fault my £140 shoes fell apart after just 2 months and 22 days... I will be sticking with Loake in future, I would highly recommend doing the same.

I was a little disappointed by my most recent purchase from Herring Shoes. We love Herring shoes and boots, the quality of the packaging, the included shoe covers, shoe horn and polish make it a lovely experience.

When my son started his first job I bought him a pair of boots from Herring so that he can have that experience, unfortunately the first pair was too big so I exchanged them. However the replacement didn't include polish or shoe horn. I thought this must be a mistake so I wrote to Herring expecting a positive resolution. Initially I got a response suggesting that these boots wouldn't normally come with polish, but the first set had, as had the identical boots I bought for my partner at the same time. Eventually they stated that the next time I purchase shoes they'll send me some polish. I just think it's a shame, it took the whole shine off these special purchase when popping a pot of polish in the post would have been a simple resolution and left me feeling positive about the process. I just feel a little flat and disappointed about this purchase. The boots are lovely, no issue there, but the whole buying experience was a bit less than I've come to expect from Herring.

I ordered my first pair of Herring shoes about 6 months ago but recently I had a slight issue with them. I spoke to their customer service department and sent some images of the issue. Within 24hrs they responded to say I could send them back and they would send me a new pair. Fantastic customer service and will certainly be buying more from them.

Visited this store whilst holidaying in the local area. Got served by a sales assistant, Abbey, who was excellent. Very professional approach, friendly and welcoming nothing too much trouble. She showed great knowledge of the shoes in the shop and even showed me some leather polish to use on my new shoes! Very pleased with my new shoes :) thank you Abbey who gave me such a great experience!

I bought the monk shoes and I was a bit worried they were too tight but after breaking them in slowly, they feel and look fantastic.

Careful searching for a voucher code as I found one and it was for the emergency services and you need to send proof. If there was any information saying it was for emergency services I would not have used it.
