We had a problem with our return transfers paid to Hummingbird, received no information nor assistance from them and in result our international flight was missed. Basically after they receive their commision, all they do is transfer the responsibility to others. Will definitely not use again, nor will recommend.
We arrived at male airport on 12 February at 11.15 am and was expecting our boat transfer to the resort be waiting . However when we got through customs the boat had left!! We were told we had to wait another 5 hours for the next boat so consequently we had to spend 5 hours at the airport instead of arriving at our resort! Nobody from the company seemed at all bothered about this. The boat actually arrived at 4 20 pm. The journey was bumpy and all the plastic windows were down and we actually arrived 2 and 3/4 hours later in the dark!!!! So disappointed on what should have been a dream holiday it was totally ruined by this !! On our return on 15th February we would have had to be up at the crack of dawn to get this boat back so we had to pay for a plane transfer which was $310 dollars. ( they didn’t even send a confirmation for return timeI complained to my travel company viva who contacted hummingbird but they weren’t bothered. Appalling customer service they couldn’t care a toss!!!!
Never again would I use this company
This company was engaged by our tour operator in the uk and handled our transfers really well great service. A particular shout out to Hassan Jinan who was so good, polite and patient helping us navigate lounges, case drop and security we really appreciated his help
Excellent travel agency. Our family vacation in Niyama Maldives was exceptional and very well organised thanks to them. My special compliments to Ibrahim Zameer from Hummingbird Male Airport team who took very good care of us all the way.
I just wanted to let you know what a wonderful time we had! And in a LARGE part- due to you. Thank you so much for your help and support with the vouchers- they worked well! The flight over was one of the best international that I have ever had- even comparing to first and business class. Both planes were new and very clean and the service was great.
Oddly- the flight home was cancelled at the last or relatively last minute ( we had just checked out of hotel and were eating and waiting for car transport to airport). It took about an hour on the phone but the United folks were very nice to us and got us on an Air Canada flight that got us home ( eventually) - so no worries there!
Anyway- thank you again. PLEASE do keep us in mind for the future. I cannot imagine we would get this lucky again but we are hopeful to possibly go to Wales in 2017- thanks!
