Order took forever to arrive, come to find out the hat I ordered was shipped from China when it finally arrived the box was crushed, the hat barely fit in it so the hat was crumpled up ,was not the hat I ordered and it was the wrong size
When I contacted them about it they said it was to expensive to ship back for an exchange and I should just keep the hat or give it to someone as a gift, they offered me a partial refund of 8% i asked them for at least 50% they agreed to 15% refund which I still haven't received
Plus the hat quality was really poor

BUYERS BEWARE!! Ordered two hats from hatbor.com. They arrived in a plastic mailing envelope, one on top of the other with some type of plastic mold on the top hat to keep it from getting crushed. The plastic mold did not help at all. Both hats were crushed and the brims were folded/crushed due to the improper shipping container. The hats I received did NOT look anything like the hats pictured in their advertisement. Cheap, crappy, Chinese junk! I tried emailing but the address doesn’t work! Please read the other negative reviews for this company! Don’t waste your time or money! You will be sorry!

I received my product and the size was too large

Would put 0 stars if I could. I ordered the John Marston hat, they sent a completely different hat than the one on the site and the quality was terrible. Then they refused to give me any more than a 5% refund, which after three months of back and forth over email, I managed to turn into a 15 % refund. Disgusting how they've clearly used a photo of someone else's handmade hat and think they can just send their customers a completely different hat and expect them to be fine with it. Maybe if it was £3 but I paid £50 for this thing that I could have got in a fancy dress shop.

Bought three hats 2 stratliners abd a navy homburg..Stratliners got two same colour..brown..ordered a sage and a brown..there wearable but the homburg is very very poor...loiks like it was won at a fairground...navy blue ? No more a mid blue..and really poor quality..search better or known makers and pay the money !...dont waste money to be disappointed..

Bought a bakers-boy cap that was advertised as cowhide. It took weeks to arrive and was nothing like the advertised item.
It was very poor quality made from PVC and too small.
This Co. has a fake shopfront and the goods are cheap versions of the ones advertised.
It’s based in China which is not clear when purchasing.
I emailed them with my complaint and got a standard reply of 10% refund and I could keep the USELESS cap.
I would get a full refund if I returned it but would have to pay the postage and the possibility of excise duty. Some chance.
DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS BUSINESS, ITS A SCAM.

I ordered 2 hats. The felt material for both feels cheap. 1st hat was the wrong color. 2nd hat was not the orded style. You have to send any return directly to China. So they offer a 10% discount, citing business loses, etc. Hatbor is a fundamentally dishonest merchant.

You have been warned.

The Non-Stop repetitive reoccurring pop-ups made navigating this site a nightmare I refuse to order anything until they get rid of those pop ups

Ordered a hat from harbor. Distressed Tom Horn for $67.79. Took almost 2 months to get here from CHINA.. It came in a small box. The hat was crushed and brim was folded to fit in box. The hat didn’t even remotely look like the picture. Poor quality and something was “painted” on it to make it look distressed. It was nothing like the pictures. Tried emailing but it doesn’t work. Another piece of China junk. Don’t order anything from them. You will be sorry.

Received a baker boy cap, but this was not the cap I ordered. The color was wrong, the model was wrong, the size was wrong, the fabric was wrong (cheap stuff, not 100% wool), no satin lining and on top of that it's made in China, not Italy as advertised. 2 Weeks have gone, I've sent 6 emails so far, explaining everything. They won't take the cap back, unless I pay for shipping. They keep offering a small discount, to keep an ugly cap I never ordered and don't want... I get automated replies, with the same 'offer', and no answers to my remarks whatsoever. So: this is a fraud and a scammer, trying to force-feed you cheap stuff. Don't order here, because the pictures and descriptions don't match the actual products; unless of course, you're in love with cheap knock-offs.

Unterirdisch! Hut bestellt in Größe M, geliefert wurde XXL. Ein Rücksendeetikett gibt's nicht:" zu teuer"
Dafür haben wie eine Teilrückzahlung angeboten bekommen, ganze 8% des Kaufpreises. Zum Glück haben wir per PayPal bezahlt und dort einen Konflikt eröffnet. Jetzt wollen sie ins 30% vom Warenwert erstatten, wir sollen aber bitte erst den Fall bei PayPal schließen. Seit dem mehrmals darauf hingewiesen, dass wir für eine nachweisliche Falschlieferung keine Teilrückerstattung akzeptieren. Die Mails haben seitens Kundenservice nun im Tonfall von superfreundlich auf bestimmend und wieder zurück gewechselt, gehen aber nie darauf ein, das der Fehler nicht bei uns liegt. Natürlich liefert der Schriftverkehr nur zusätzlich Futter für den Paypalkonflikt, aber nervt trotzdem, da jegliche Einsicht fehlt.
Qualitativ hätte sich die Bestellung auch nicht gelohnt, das ist Massenware wie sie hier oft an Marktständen verkauft wird, nur dass es auf dem Markt billiger ist. Keinesfalls Hautladenqualität.

These ‘cowboy””hats are made in China. Customer service is non-existence ! I ordered two hats - got them in a box half the size of the hats and they were different sizes ! I reported damaged hats the day of arrival and have had three emails via their ‘non-‘ service department and they just keep asking me for info and pictures. A SCAM company in my opinion. I have not received anything - anything - of value from this company!!!

Do not purchase from this company.
I bought and paid for a hat, never received it. I notified them and they told me to pick it up at the PO. I went to PO and they said it is still overseas. It is so frustrating. They refuse to make it right.
Terrible customer service. Buyer beware

I am writing this review in response to having recently read some extremely negative reviews regarding Hatbor.com, which has lead me into a state of confusion..On the 17.02.25 I ordered a Peaky Caps Genuine Harris Tweed 8 panel Man Cap Wool Large Crown Cap, in Beige, size 55cm. I had read a little background on what was said to be an American company, but didn't access any reviews at the time, but took a chance on the available history, and hoped it would be good, loving the look of the actual cap worn by a proposed hat maker pictured in the workshop. Well I received my Beige Harris Tweed Cap, and I'm very happy to say, it's a Real Beauty, exactly as advertised. I had looked at the Ad a number of times being tempted by the look of it,..And I have it, and i love it.
My question is, what happened between February and July 2025 for the negative reviews, particularly as Hatbor have another hat I'm interested in???

Finger weg und nichts bestellen! Alles nur Beschiss. Habe für mich und meinen Sohn 2 Kowboyhüte fürs Wandern bestellt. Aber nach ewig dauernder Lieferzeit (ist ja auch weit von China aus) kamen 3! Hüte und nicht einmal für Männer. Man wird nur abgezockt denn Reklamation ist Fehlanzeige.

1) Got the wrong hat size Large supposed to be Medium.
2) The material is the same material they use for cheap party hats.
3) Shipping from Nancheng China took longer than advertised.
4) Cost was logical, but a cheaply made hat. The only good thing about the hat was the hatband made of vinyl and studs.
5) DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY. Look for American made cowboy hats!

Die verschickte Ware entspricht nicht dem Foto . Es wird irgend etwas verschickt und dann wird geschrieben das es wegen Handarbeit im Original vom Foto abweichen kann . Es entspricht aber überhaupt nicht dem Foto !
Schlechte Qualität und kein guter Kundenservice , es werden Versprechungen gemacht und nicht gehalten , es wird Angst gemacht vor dem Rückversand nach China ( Es ist kein US Shop ! ) und es gibt ein lausiges Erstattungsangebot . Nicht bestellen , es bringt kein Glück !!!

Yep. A scam alright. Ordered a cool looking hat. Got, what amounts to, a kids cheap play hat i would be embarrassed to wear. No way to return that makes sense. Lesson learned.

Dont go any where near them. Everything you fear about online buying with china. The product advertised and what you receive will be completely different. Then you contact customer services and they offer a £5 refund or you can cover international shipping fees and get a full refund. To be honest I don't trust that either as no doubt the package will get mysteriously lost in transit, or they will accuse you of removing the tags which were never on the hat in the first place. They are a con and you will be out of pocket with nothing to do other than trying to resell the hat yourself to make some money back. Stay well away from them at all costs!!!
