After almost 5 years as a loyal customer, I am extremely disappointed with the new leadership at Harvey. The recent approach to financial management has been poor and frustrating, with little effort shown to retain existing customers. It’s very sad to see such a decline in a company I once trusted. I would not recommend their services if you value your time and money.
I do not recommend Harvey water softeners
I bought a water softener 18 months ago. It was incorrectly fitted which caused a minor flood in the kitchen. This was rectified and it was correctly installed. Now it is not working at all and I’m having to wait nearly 3 weeks for an engineer to visit. The App doesn’t work no matter how many times I try to connect. Useless. This was a very expensive product and I expect better technical support.

We had a full demo from Ben who was friendly and knowledgeable. He was also patient as I needed to duck in and out as I was wfh the day he came around. The fitting went well with Nick taking his time and ironing out any potential issues with a colleague by phone. He was there for 4.30 hours and completed a well thought out way of completing the fit. So far a week on the water is definitely softer and the drinking water is good tasting and definitely clearer to look at.

I recently called with an enquiry about my drinking water filter, expecting to need a completely new casing. When I spoke to Paula and Rory, they were extremely helpful and explained clearly that all I actually needed was a valve. They even had one available in their spare box, so I wasn’t charged.
I can’t thank Paula and Rory enough, and I honestly can’t recommend Harvey’s highly enough.
Top and professional service
Richard, the engineer, is responsible for installing the water softener machine for us. I really appreciate his good work. Everything goes smooth, efficient and tidy. Moreover he explains all the things so clear. I would have given him a 6 stars review if there were.

We always check reviews on various sites before we buy anything . For those of you that do the same here is the essential thing to look for . And we both work in the customer service industry. It’s not when things go wrong it’s how they are responded too that counts and the subject matter and the replies . THERE ARE VERY LITTLE IF NO REPlies from Harvey . That says a lot . Also look for a generic reply or a change of a few words in each reply . A company that cares will almost away reply with a personal reply .

Needless to say with a pants review of only 3.8 and little reply’s I won’t be buying from them .
Will I get a reply , maybe or they ask it to be removed as I’ve not bought a product . Trust pilot please add a facility to enable companies to know we do read reviews and make a decision based on those reviews . It would be helpful for businesses to know how it’s affecting customers

Useless after sales service
I called an engineer to change a leaking pipe . He broke my drinking water filter. When I called the customer service they said we do not have the product in stock and I have been waiting since 7th Feb 2025. They have not come back to change the filter they broke .Do not get water dilters from Harvey as after sales is useless .

I would have no hesitation in recommending Harvey’s products and excellent service. We are extremely pleased with our new drinking water tap and today Liam came and fitted a water softener which he fitted quickly and well and left everything spotless once he had completed the installation . Amber Gallagher was particularly helpful in helping arranging everything. All in all it was a first class service which is so refreshing these days and we are delighted.

Profile of Harveywatersoftners on Trustpilot is unclaimed profile and if you click “Visit website” under this profile, it will take you NOWHERE as it’s website is no longer exist. Hence no point to do any reviews here.

Unfortunately, my experience with Harvey Water Softeners is awful. I inherited a water softener from previous house owner that subsequently broke down, I called Harvey Water Softeners who sent out an engineer who said no point to repair as it’s old, call-out charge is around £95ish. Then Harvey Water Softeners called me and agreed with me that if I buy their new softener system, they will offer an existing customer discount plus removal of this call-out charge, hence I bought a new system from them.
5 years later, I received a letter from a debt agency who said I need to pay this call-out charge £95ish. Here is the problem:
1. If a company chase an outstanding bill, they need to send out an invoice to customer first. In my case, Harvey Water Softener has never sent any invoices to me at all.
2. In my case, Harvey Water Softener has never sent or chase any invoice from me, they just nastily pass it to debit collection agency who subsequently send out debt chasing letters after 5 years which is illegal as they can only chase debt within 5yrs.
3. In my case, I contacted Harvey Water Softener for this matter, it’s Receivable department sent me a screen shot of “Water Softener Service Engineers Report” SCREENSHOT, not even an invoice. In “Action Status” section, it clearly stated “CLOSED”, why they chase something that is already closed, clearly in this case, they knew it is not a valid case, but they still chase for it.
Luckily in my case, I have all the emails correspondence and confirmation that proves they agreed to remove this call-out charge, hence case closed. However, it’s not nice feeling when you unexpectedly to see debt collection letters. Some people may panic and paid without knowing this company finance and administration are disorganised, or deliberately trying to squeeze more money from customers before acquisition either for their own pocket, or part of acquisition to clear any potential debts.
I read another review here said similar case, they chase a £50 6 years later. So if you are in similar situation, do check carefully before make any payments. If you did pay under harassment of debt agencies or this company, you may have a chance to get money back if you can prove or willing to fight for it.
The worst customer service
The worst customer service. My filter cartridge broke when I tried to change it. Called up the sales guy, and he said he contacted the team, and I will get a call. I didn't get a call until evening, and I had to call them. The next availability is after a week, so no drinking water and other appliances also won't work. I have never seen such low-quality service and products.
Great install, awful support!
The installation was quick, no complaints there. But the after-sales service has been a nightmare. When the system started having issues, the earliest they could come out was nearly a month later — and even then, there was no guarantee they’d actually show up. Surprise: they didn’t. I had to rebook and wait another month. Honestly, that’s just ridiculous for something as important as a home water system. Really disappointed, and I won’t be recommending Harvey Water to anyone.

Our water softener installation was completed last week, and I want to dedicate this review to Hayden Bourn for his exceptional work. Our home is over 70 years old, and as you can imagine, the plumbing pipes weren’t exactly in the most expected places. Despite these challenges, Hayden made it work seamlessly, spending more than half a day ensuring everything was installed perfectly.
