Its website is a nightmare.
My block has been trying to get a replacement bin for one that disappeared for over a year and none of us have been successful Housing Officers cant deal with it because it has to be done through individual accounts they cant access
Today I needed to notify a change in circs. Went to the online form and filled in it (took a while because of the amount of info they want) Got an error message - contact benefit services. Rang - automated service - 'you have to go online to do this'
So I've had to use snail mail but they don't seem to answer letters so I'm waiting for them to accuse me of not notifying them
I am on the computer most of the day but this is the worst website I've used. Its seems to combine a mountain of verbiage with no useful info re communication (that works)

Treated my mother like garbage, she moved into a smaller flat for them. She left her flat in amazing condition and moved her into a completely torn up flat that required massive amounts of work. She is nearly 70 and got nearly no help from the council in removing large items and decorating. Then is still trying to charge her money for the old flat. Rude staff

One of the worst councils for decades - it doesn't seem to matter which political party - it's the council officers - their most senior officers get paid huge salaries and the impression is they don't care, the social workers and their officers seem overworked, but paid well, but don't care nor understand, and when anyone in the charity sector do good things, they seem to always stop them, undermine them - it's an awful borough in terms of staff and even had to have special officers from the Greater London Authority to come to Harrow to deal with their mistakes and possible corruption around planning

FORTY MINUTES spent searching the site for a way to buy visitor parking tokens.
NO REPLY to various emails regarding road safety and planning.
A MAZE of cues if you try to phone.
There is NO EFFECTIVE WAY of contacting the council unless a tick-box appears on the site --- and even then you can end up in a loop.
BUT HEY - they don't read these reviews

In August 2022, my three vehicles were damaged by fall of branches of trees. Earlier these branches were fallen on my house twice. Now council is not making payment for damages to my all three vehicles after nearly three years Recently request has made to see council's insurance investigator Mr Jay Mehta..no reply so far.

I'm writing to say my admiration to Neale and Andy working in Alexandre Park in Harrow. They are doing an amazing job and working extremely hard to keep the park nice and clean. Thank you for you work it will not go unnoticed.

Harrow Council employees are just the lowest of the low. They should really be locked up. No words can quite describe how disgusting they really are! They refuse to answer telephones or respond to emails but are happy to parasite off public funds. All busy “working” from home whilst doing nothing for the people who pay their wages. Although outright rude and ignorant when you do finally get to speak with them. What makes it worse is that they’re quite willing to lie in order to cover up for their bad behaviour. The Council itself is too busy selling off the Borough’s assets which the people owned to begin with. Who voted for that? Absolutely treacherous! The only positive is that since selling off the Civic Centre they now all work from the old Harrow Council rubbish dump which is rather ironic really because they’re all rubbish rats. Suck up that stench Harrow Council employees because that’s what you are! A pile of rotting, useless waste

What a joke the Parking Charge dept are. No phone number, an increase in parking cost by over 100% even though representations were made. An inability to address the matter and bullying, threatening and horrendous tactics that you have no choice but to pay. I am more than willing to pay once you address my representations but no response or contact. This council are legalised bullies. If I did this to someone I would be in court, yet its ok for the council to do so.

Well done "civil" servents. You screw the people and sleep well doing so, until you are replaced by a machine or thrown aside like the common public.

Harrow council must be the worst in the country!
The grass verges and pavements are constantly full of rubbish.it isn't just some of the time it's all the time.kenton is particularly bad.naturally it's impossible to speak to anyone at the council about it,they want your sky high council tax but don't want to provide an effective and consistent street cleaning service!!!

I am suffering from council tenant as a my upstairs neighbours. I had many complaints but any not any decision. Suffering from 1 year.i have all evidence video recording,pic and voice recording and onther street neighbour witness.council neighbours doing antisocial behaviour, physically attack ,and damaged my property also electricity wireing to dangerous for health and safty.but no want took any action.only collet council tax.

Harow Borough Council you are a total disgrace..Even though i proved with photographic evidence i paid for parking at Harrow Leisure Centre you still decide to make an OAP pensioner pay a £30 PCN..You do this because you know your decision will not be challenged as you use council tax revenue proceed if challenged..Disgusting corrupt Harrow Borough Council

It is a scandal that it is virtually impossible to speak to someone at the council to get advice. This is just lazy.
All I need is s few seconds of advice by phone to talk about garden waste but instead it asks you to go online. There are no phones dedicated to this department. The use of technology seems to be an excuse to provide no service. Instead they direct you to inadequate online forms so you can fill these in but most of the time do not come close to or are unsuitable in being able to satisfy a query so you are left in limbo.

It's impossible to speak to anyone, I held on the phone for over 90 minutes moving from position 5 to 3, and then cut off saying they were now closed. This is a sham, I was not in a queue, and no-one had any intention of answering my call. Please Harrow Council, be honest at least and stop creating stress and wasting people's time.

Total scum, biggest thieves and crooks about. Fines for everything and anything, enjoy your nights out and Xmas partys on the hard earned money the general public make and give you you scumbags

Hope some senior person in the council would read the reviews, so many bad ones and is getting worse day by day. Roads are so bad and on top they increased the council tax. Issuing FPN left right and centre.....

Revenue generating from innocent people visiting the town. Hidden signs but very unhidden fines as a result.

I am deeply disappointed and increasingly frustrated with the service provided by the Harrow Parking Permits team. Despite multiple attempts to seek clarity on the transferability of my existing permit or the possibility of a refund, I have been met with a bewildering lack of clear communication and assistance.

My current predicament involves trying to transfer a permit from my current vehicle to a new one. Despite following the instructions provided by customer service via email, which directed me to apply for a permit through my online account, I encountered an unexpected requirement to pay again. This has been both confusing and concerning, especially since my account fails to show any active permits, contradicting the fact that I have already paid for a permit.

The simple question of whether my permit is transferable or if I am eligible for a refund remains unanswered. It is disheartening to experience such a lack of capable response from the team tasked with managing these queries. The absence of respect and consideration for their customers is astounding.

To require customers to pay anew without addressing their existing permits not only reflects poorly on the administrative processes in place but also demonstrates a significant disregard for customer satisfaction and financial fairness.

It is unacceptable for customers to navigate this maze of inefficiency and obscurity, especially when dealing with as straightforward a matter as a permit transfer. The lack of straightforward, actionable information has left me not only out of pocket but also deeply disillusioned with the level of service.

In summary, the Harrow Parking Permits service has failed to provide the necessary support and clarity, leading to unnecessary confusion and expense on my part. This experience has significantly eroded my trust and confidence in their operations, and I hope this feedback prompts a thorough review and improvement of their customer service protocols.
