I got a guitar book and almost all the charts completely wrong and some dont even have the correct chords what so ever! Avoid buying books fron Hal Leonard if you want ti actually play the music correctly

I can't believe the reviews that have been put up! Makes me a little suspicious. I live in New Zealand, and ordered some sheet music 5 days ago. It arrived this morning! It was well packaged, and the sheet music was in new and pristine condition. I have NO complaints about the service - I think it's excellent.

I wish I could give zero stars. Do not order from this company. I ordered a softcover book two weeks ago and still haven't received a notification that it has shipped; fine, maybe it wasn't in stock or there was some other delay. I emailed them after 4 days of waiting for shipping confirmation simply inquiring as to when I might expect the book to ship (I was hoping to receive the book for my daughter's next piano lesson); 8 days later, I still haven't even received a response to the email. I tried calling their customer service line, which was immediately answered by a bot saying that the number couldn't be completed as dialed. Bear in mind, I used the phone number directly from the purchase confirmation email. To say that this company has the worst customer service in existence would be to give them too much credit; they have no customer service whatsoever.

Dismal customer support - this company is a prime example of complete lack of care. Turns out I am not alone with the exact same issues.

Basic problem is they do not respond to problems or email inquiries. Found a phone number, called and was only ever greeted with the usual 'you have reached CS etc...please leave a message' but CS will not call you back. - As for the online digital download purchases - same as several others with the same problem, you cannot actually download them. That might be OK except Hal Leonard forces you to read an online reader with tiny print on screen that you are not able to increase font size or zoom in on.

Useless and frustrating and no mention of it in advance.

Took more than 3 months to receive a large print version of The Messiah music. It did not arrive in time for a Carnegie Hall performance, rather, it arrived the day of the performance at my home in NV, shipped from MN which is a few-days’ shipping time at most. No communication or tracking info. When I inquired they had no information. Do not trust them if you have an important event.

I got one Metalica play along book for drums. It is good... though now I wonder how close to the studio version the songs are... But nevermind that... I sent an email asking two questions about another drum book: 1- How accurate the songs in the book are, 2- An actual recommendation for a jazz book on drums. For that second, I explicitely asked NOT to simply give me a list of books when I can do that myself, and that I would rather just be told that they cannot provide recommendations. After two weeks, I sent a follow-up email because that had not responded. They actually responded the next business day on that follow-up email. What they replied is a single sentence and a link to exactly what I asked NOT to be sent: a list of drum books. For customer service, they deserve no star whatsoever. Unfortunately, having bad customer service is a trend that Hal Leonard is only one of many companies. Companies have one chance for a first impression. And theirs is abysmal.

Leider bestellte Noten dauern ewig bis die geliefert werden. Unsere stehen irgendwo seit eine Woche obwohl es steht Lieferung in 3 Tag max. Es wäre vielleicht schneller in den USA zu bestellen. Keine gute Service wenn die Verlag auch noch extra Geld für nich schnellere Lieferung kassiert.

A question was asked automatically as I came into the review box, This is the second time I purchase a digital song book and can barely see what am reading, I wonder how I would look with a laptop up to my face, trying to read music and play a bass at the same time. I am done with Hal Leonard, done!

The published version of the Turina Premier Trio Opus 35 is of disgraceful quality. It is a photocopy of what can be found on IMSLP.

These guys are slow to ship your product. When mine went missing, they were too lazy to ask the shipping co to do a trace. They told me their shipper has a 3 to 7 week shipping standard. Eventually they refunded my shipping cost but not the cost of the lost songbooks. I am having to file a chargeback through my card company and it is such a hassle. Do not recommend.

Hal Leonard is a terrible publisher. Their music scores are inaccurate and incomplete.

Always had good experiences with HL, customer service was excellent when I was dealing with Kasey & Julia re the audio for Kindle titles. This was a couple of years ago, now the Customer service (I won't say the name) is abrasive, argumentative and unwilling to help. Bear in mind I bought these titles FOR the audio which I am now told I can't have for some obscure reason, is this even legal? selling something that they can't deliver. Bring back Kasey and Julia, such lovely, professional people.

I have never seen worse quality books in my life. The paper, the print and the binding are atrocious, to the point of being completely disrespectful to the artist. It looks like a photocopy of a photocopy back from the 80's. From now on I'll go for the digital versions instead and avoid their prints at all cost. Whoever is in charge of this company should be ashamed and step aside.

how and I supposed to play music if I cant print out what I paid for? How can I put my computer onto my keyboard to play? My phone is too small to read the music, disappointed. Will never buy from again

These guys sent a copyright claim to music on a website so now I cannot play the song I love.

I do not like Hal Leonard.

I purchased a digital piano from them, and they used UPS to deliver it, without warning me that UPS will not deliver the piano to my flat. The piano was left downstairs in the lobby in a very insecure position. Since I could not lift the piano myself up to my flat I had to hire a company that could do it on the day. It costed me £120. They have consistently been of nothrlp and have not returned my money. Don't get anything from them!

Their customer service is appalling. They do not support digital projects that were made just a couple years ago and now call them "legacy" products.

Three changes would make this a far better product.

The scores are mis-written in a few cases (irritatingly, two of the counts included) so you need to play through and amend. No big deal BUT if a non-reader bought this as a learning aid, it would be very confusing. 'How come the band has stopped and I'm still playing'? 'How come the band starts after me'?

The original drums are still audible - digital removal is not difficult in the 21st Century. Many quality Playalongs give the option of listening with drums and then playing along without. This doesn't.

The book is awkward and would be much improved in comb-bound format. Drummers often have to reach further than others to turn their pages and don't normally have much time for fiddling about to lay them flat!

Having said that, a wannabe big band drummer will get a real sense of what it's like to play 17 piece swing. Turn up the headphones and have fun.
