Haagensen Wardrobes and Kitchens Omdömen 

We are really pleased with our new fitted wardrobes.

We weren’t exactly sure what we wanted to begin with, but the showroom gave us plenty of ideas. We were surprised by how big it was and how much choice there was, which made it much easier to see what would work in our bedroom.

The wardrobes have made a huge difference to the room and given us much better storage. The quality is brilliant and the fitting was done to a really high standard.

We would definitely recommend Haagensen.

We wanted the whole project managed for us, without the hassle of organising different trades, and Haagensen made the process incredibly easy. Having one point of contact throughout gave us complete peace of mind.

Siobhan listened carefully to what we wanted, and the finished bespoke kitchen matched the CAD drawings perfectly. The full timeline helped us understand exactly what would happen and when, while Ash kept us updated throughout the entire project.

The fitters and trades were excellent, taking great care of our home and leaving everything clean and tidy. All the staff were friendly and always available on the end of the phone whenever we had any questions.

Today we went to the haagensens showroom to browse their selection of kitchen worktops and cabinet hardware, with the intention of purchasing these items from them. We previously received a quote from haagensens for an entire kitchen, but have found more suitable cabinets elsewhere meaning we were still looking for them to provide the worktops and hardware.

When browsing we were confronted by a woman who reprimanded us for not responding after having received the quote. A few moments later, we were confronted by another employee who fished for more information and then told us we could not purchase a worktop from them separately.

We asked if we could still browse since we came with the intention to purchase, were not aware that we couldn’t, and travelled all the way to the showroom. We were made to feel uncomfortable, and unwelcome to the point we had to leave. I said this is ridiculous and was met with a “f*** off” as we walked out the door.

I have never felt so disrespected and will NEVER be using their services. I recommend that if you would like good customer service and be treated with respect, that you look elsewhere. Our cabinets are from DIY kitchens and they have been fantastic!

We contacted Haagensen's when we wanted some bespoke wardrobes building for our dressing room. We didn’t really have a specific design in mind (only the colour) but chatted with Luke and in no time he had a design made for us showing us exactly what it would look like in our room and he made sure that we made the most of the space we had. We didn’t mind waiting as we have lots of friends that have used them for Kitchens and Bedrooms and knew they would be busy as they have a fantastic reputation (which is worth waiting for) but in no time at all Luke had us booked in and kept us fully updated.

Stuart and the team arrived, we wouldn't have known they were there. No mess, no hassle just turned up when they said they would and carried out the work. Everyone was really friendly, and did an absolutely fantastic job. I've even been in contact since to ask Luke about the construction (for having a new carpet fitted) and Luke let me know that if we needed any help then to contact him and someone would pop out to assist. I will forever shout about the service that this business provides and the quality of the wardrobes! We wouldn't go anywhere else. 100% value for money and we will be using them again.

Very disappointing experience with a relatively small order for 2 bedsides cabinets (albeit not a small price at all).

A drawing of specific size requirements was provided of which some details of the design were queried and amendments agreed prior to to manufacture.

Delivery timescales of 2-3 weeks given by the company were not met but immediately on querying this I was told delivery could be achieved within a couple of days which struck me as a little strange.

Delivery was made with the 2 units being dirty and covered in dust/sawdust inside and out; very sharp edges and corners in many location; overspray of adhesive or similar visible; wrongly drilled handle fixing holes visible around the handle on the outer face of one unit and scratch marks on drawer front. In addition the units had not been built to the agreed design (I had requested the top panel to finish flush with sides and front because of restricted available space but units came with around 12mm overhang on all sides)

All in all the impression created was that the manufacture had been rushed after I queried progress.

On contacting the company, I received an e-mail from the owner apologising for the dust, etc but with no reference to not being manufactured to the agreed drawing. When that was further questioned with the owner the attitude was very much ‘take it or leave it’ hiding behind the spurious claim that the top panel overhang was as they always build due to ‘industry standard’.

When the claim of industry standard was challenged - based on other furniture manufacturers both bespoke and off the shelf - the owners response was that he would ‘arrange collection of the units and refund’ rather than addressing the problem raised.

We had spent a long time searching the market for options to meet our needs due to some specific requirements and space limitations and opted to deal with this company as a long established business in the area with a perceived good reputation. Given that time spent added to the wait for delivery, starting the process over was not a viable option leaving us needing to rearrange the room to accommodate the units.

Would I recommend the company based on this experience? No!

If you do choose this company be aware that a small but expensive order is likely pushed to the back of the production schedule. Make sure that you reinforce exactly what you are wanting to be made and get written confirmation of their agreement. If something is found to be wrong with delivered units be prepared for a far from friendly and understanding attitude to after sales service even from the highest level of the company.

From our first initial contact until the end of the completed kitchen our experience was so positive.
The planning of our kitchen was amazing giving us ideas we wouldn’t have thought of. Luke helped us choose colours and designs and was super patient when we needed more information and guidance over appliances etc.
Once fitting began we had nothing but respect for our house from everyone who came from knocking out, to electricians and plumbers. All the tradesman were so polite and respectful with us. They all cleaned up after each day of work which was appreciated. When it came to the fitting of the actual kitchen we dealt with John. John is one of a kind and he answered every query we had with patience. His workmanship is amazing.
We would definitely recommend Haagensons to any of our friends.

I contacted Haagensen for a kitchen design a year before the house was built, all I had were measurements and they came up with a beautiful design and were so helpful with all the questions and alterations I had. Nothing was too much trouble and the design of the kitchen was amazing. When the house was nearly ready I had no hesitation in asking for a design for wardrobes in three bedrooms. The shapes of the rooms were quite awkward but nothing was too much trouble or too difficult and we now have an amazing kitchen and brilliant wardrobes/drawers and bedside tables. I would recommend them without hesitation. They haven’t finished yet I’ve asked them to do a media wall, can’t wait to see it.

Just wanted to say a big thanks to Haagensen for our new kitchen, from design through to installation we found the whole process seamless and at the right price, the whole team couldn't be more helpful and happy to work with us on our design requirements and alterations mid installation, 1st class service you will not be disappointed with these guys, top class.

Bedroom wardrobes fitted 5th/6th September 2024. What a great team Haagensens are, from Charlie measuring to Keiran fitting and the admin staff in the office. Nothing was to much trouble, very efficient and professional and I couldn't be more pleased with how the wardrobes look, I would highly recommend the company.

From our 1st enquiry with Julie, Charlie who came to measure, Heather in the store and Liam who came to fit our fitted wardrobes, everything was perfect. Very professional, nothing too much trouble, even when we changed our minds on a couple of things. Would highly recommend.

It is my experience that people are always quick to complain about a service rather then to compliment, however I have always thought it worth while acknowledging where a company has delivered high quality services.

So, I would like to formally express our gratitude for the works carried out in the sales and installation phase.

We are not the experts in this area but very much appreciated the professionalism, honesty and openness during the sales phase, which helped guide us to the final design which we are extremely pleased with.

We received regular communications via e-mail and phone which were prompt, clear and always courteous.

Regarding the installation, the two fitters and the electrician were excellent from start to finish.

During the installation our property was treated with respect, the rooms left tidy, the team were always courteous, and undertook the work with diligence and high quality.

An almost unnoticeable mark was identified by a fitter on one of the doors, Haagensen explained the issue to me, proposed a solution, and the door was changed out without issue.

I can not thank Haagensens enough - What a thoroughly wonderful company, a professional experience from beginning to end. And this was under exceptional circumstances, we have just completed our 2020 kitchen/diner project during one of the most turbulent times (Covid19 pandemic) and Haagensens have navigated this obstacle with such grace, finesse and professionalism.

Adrian Haagensen a Grimsby Kitchen and Wardrobes Company fitted our new wardrobes in November 2015, the staff are extremely friendly and helpful and Stuart and Michael who fitted the wardrobes are a credit to Adrian's company. They cleaned up leaving the room clean and tidy afterwards and the wardrobes look spectacular. The boss Adrian even removed the old wardrobes himself before the work started. From the electrician to the carpet layer all the lads were spot on. This company was formed by Adrian almost 30 years ago and we highly recommend them.
