Have used the Wakefield store previously they always have a good selection of goods in stock. Went with my wife and Andy in the shoe section was very helpful and came anway with what we were looking for.
Ruth on the tills was very helpful as well sorting out my card as it was due to expire. Always had a good experience at this store

A well organised shop with great stock. No one believes that I bought a lovely dress there … very reasonably priced too.

After my recent hip replacement I needed a new pair of walking boots as my stride has changed. Leeann at Wakefield GO Outdoors was fantastic, she gave advice on support and fasteners which I found helpful. Very approachable, friendly and

Excellent customer service. A good range of products that I could try and proactive, friendly and helpful assistance from Ruth that helped me find the product that I bought, try it on and compare it against others.

A great selection of equipment, and some at really good prices, click and collect instore was a lot better than waiting for for my other items that were registered as delivered but but still hadn't arrived. Not go outdoors fault at all. It was the delivery company at fault

Greeted by staff. Approached whilst browsing asking if I needed help. Said I was OK so they left me to bowse. Found what I wanted. Emma very friendly at checkout. Good service all round.

I needed boots idk anything about how to clean them or what to get Andy from shoes told me everything helped a ton and Emma from checkout was nice and fun to chat to xD

Great Service from Leeann at Go Outdoors!

I had a really positive experience in Go Outdoors thanks to Leeann on the checkout. She was incredibly friendly, professional and took the time to help me and my son, who is preparing for his school residential trip.

Leeann shared some really useful tips on how to pack his bag properly and what to wear to stay comfortable outdoors. It was genuinely helpful advice and she made the whole experience feel personal rather than just a quick transaction.

Knew what we wanted to buy so didn’t need any assistance but a member of staff made sure we were okay. At the tills Emma was very friendly and engaged us in general chat. She checked their information to find out discount card.

The staff in this store are always really helpful and friendly. We were served by Kayla today and she was fab!

Go outdoors is set in a very nice location just off the main road. Parking is quite ample but be careful, the car park has many pot holes and some of them are very big. You could easily damage a wheel even in low gear.
Now I didn't look round the entire place because I was wanting a pair of walking shoes but it's pretty big and they seem to have a decent amount of choice in every department. I'm pretty sure you'll find what you're looking for at this place if it's outdoor related.
I asked for some advice regarding the walking shoes and received very useful help from a male employee whose name I didn't get, apologies sir!
I purchased a very nice pair of Gore Tex weather proofed shoes which were available at a very good price and are really comfortable.
One thing to note though is that the best prices are only available to those who join the membership scheme. Now it's only £5 for the year and it doesn't auto renew but some people don't like that kind of thing so you should bear that in mind before you visit.
All things considered I would highly recommend Go Outdoors. It's a very nice place to shop but remember, watch out for those pot holes!

I have been going to Go Outdoors for years and have always been very impressed with the Company. I visited on Sunday to get some new work boots and was greeted at the door by a welcoming staff member. The boots were easy to find and there was plenty of stock available. I knew what I wanted and in finding them, was then greeted by Leeann at the tills. She was friendly and very knowledgeable, giving me advice on foot care and bookcare. It made my shopping experience a very positive one. Thank you 😃

Went into buy walking boots for a Duke of Edinburgh walk and the guy that was on the footwear department was really helpful and spent time with us making sure we bought the right boot. Didn’t expect this type of service so was really impressed.
