Awful experience. Ordered a rab coat online for my mum for Mother’s Day - due to be delivered the day before. On the day of delivery, they cancelled it and told me my refund would take 5 days. I didn’t have any more money to buy another jacket so I had to borrow it and I went to an actual store in Preston and the only one I could find was £50 more. I bought it and gave it to my mum the next day. It was too small. We went back on that same day and they said they couldn’t order us the bigger size but I could take it to the till and get a refund and find another somewhere else. Oh and obviously that refund would also take 5 days. They wouldn’t assist with advising which other localish store may have the size we needed and said they couldn’t find out for us. Terrible service - would avoid in future.

I went into the store to buy some walking poles with no experience on using them before. I approached Jack who was absolutely amazing; he clued me in on the poles and measure me up for some Leki Lite Khumbu poles and explained all about them. Following on from that he also helped me pick a pair or Merrel hiking shoes and also explained about the soles and insoles which gave me confidence in my purchase. What an excellent service from this young man Jack. He should be recognised for his excellent customer service

Went to get a fair bit of stuff for a trip up the cairngorms, and with it being a bit more adventerous than our normal trips, i was looking for a few tips, with which the staff were more than happy to help with, giving practical and economical advice, helping me save a good chunk of change, as i would have just bought the most expensive items, believing them to be the best. Alfie was especially helpful, even helping bring the heavier gear put to the car. Other companies could learn a thing or two about customer service from GO.

Was looking at new tents and wasn’t really sure what to get. Kieran A was extremely helpful, taking the time to help me and answered any questions I had. Walked away very happy with a new tent. Excellent service and will definitely come back!

I love go outdoors i always get my coats from there and walking boots and trousers. They have a great range of everything you need for adventures.

We got exactly what we came out to shop for, on the sale rail which was then hit again with further discount, over the moon couldn’t have got better at any other shop, 1/3 of the price in another retailer thank you so much to Neil at deepdale for your help , very nice man

Neil was very helpful when buying a Belay Device and caribiner for my granddaughter's birthday.
All I had was a photo of a DMM Beetle Belay Device attached to a caribiner. He explained they were 2 separate pieces of equipment. Would have liked to have purchased the DMM Beetle Belay Device as it looks more sturdy than the MANTIS I have purchased. There were no DMM Beetle Belay Device in stock

Whilst checking out the price of the tent went up £150 as the offer ended.

Very dissapointed.

Appalling service ordered online for store collection didnt hear anything for 8 days contacted customer service who said it had been instore for 6 days so rang store and spoke to very unhelpful girl who said it wasnt there if not had email confiming. I rang back finally got through speak with manager at store who found it straight away finally got order after 10 days !!
