GoldMonkeys: Sell Gold Online – Instant & Transparent Quotes & Top Prices.
The Most Transparent Gold Buyer in the UK.
We’re a small, family-run business based in Bedfordshire. Back in 2018, we saw a clear opportunity to improve the way people sell their gold and silver.
With gold prices reaching record highs, more people were looking to turn their old jewellery into ready cash. But when we looked at the options available — both on the high street and online — we noticed some common problems.
High street shops often paid far below market value. Many online services either charged for postage, gave vague or delayed pricing, or quoted generously upfront — only to deduct hidden fees later.
That didn’t sit right with us.
So we created GoldMonkeys — to make selling gold and silver simple, transparent, and fair. With us, you can:
✅ Get a market-leading price
🔒 Know your quote before sending your items
📦 Enjoy free, insured next-day delivery
💷 Avoid hidden charges — our quotes are honest and upfront
We’re here to do things properly. No pressure, no surprises — just a better way to sell your gold and silver.

Hello!
Thank you for your kind review — and for trusting us a second time. Repeat customers mean everything to us.
You've captured the GoldMonkeys process beautifully: valuations agreed upfront and locked in, independent testing and weight verification on arrival, and same-day payment once everything is confirmed. The adjustment process you mention is worth highlighting — if the final weight or purity differs slightly from the initial quote, we recalculate transparently and you always have the option to decline and have your items returned free of charge.
It's also worth noting for anyone researching where to sell silver online in the UK — we value both gold and silver, and our rates are benchmarked against the live spot price for both metals. Finding a buyer who offers competitive rates across gold and silver together, with locked-in valuations, isn't always straightforward, so we're glad that came through clearly in your experience.
Thank you again for the five stars and the recommendation. We hope to be your first call next time too.
Best wishes

Absolutely outstanding from start to finish
I had old gold lying around the house deciding to get rid of it the whole process was so easy and I was given a guarantee price if I sent it within 7 days
I got an email from Michael the very next day with a price which I agreed on
It was in my bank account the next day

Svar från The GoldMonkeys
Dear Ms. Courtier,
Thank you for such a kind review — and what a common situation you describe! So many people have old gold jewellery sitting in drawers and boxes, not realising how straightforward it can be to turn it into cash.
You've highlighted one of the features we're most proud of: the guaranteed price. Once Michael provided your valuation, that figure was locked in for seven days — giving you time to decide without any pressure, and complete confidence that the offer wouldn't change when your items arrived. No last-minute reductions, no surprises.
From there, the timeline speaks for itself: quote agreed, items posted, email confirmation from Michael the following day, and payment in your bank account the day after that. For anyone wondering how long it takes to sell old gold jewellery in the UK, that's about as fast as it gets.
If you have any other pieces tucked away, you know where we are!
Best wishes

Really happy with my experience using GoldMonkeys. The whole process was quick and straightforward - from receiving the pack to sending my items off. They kept me updated, provided a clear breakdown after testing, and the final offer was fair. Payment was made very quickly after I accepted, which was a big plus. I also appreciated the transparency about a non-gold item and the option to have it returned. Overall, a smooth and trustworthy service - would definitely recommend.

Dear Linda
Thank you for taking the time to leave such a thoughtful and detailed review — this really does capture the GoldMonkeys experience from end to end.
We're particularly glad you mentioned the non-gold item. This is something we feel strongly about: if any piece in your parcel turns out not to be gold or silver, we'll always tell you clearly and give you the option to have it returned at no cost. There are no deductions, no disposal fees, and no pressure — it's your item and you deserve to know exactly what you're sending. For anyone who has inherited jewellery or is unsure what they have, this is worth knowing before you choose a gold buyer.
The pack, the testing, the itemised breakdown, the update at each stage, and same-day payment on acceptance — you've described the full process exactly as we design it. Clear communication at every step isn't an afterthought for us; it's the thing that makes selling gold feel trustworthy rather than stressful.
Thank you again for the recommendation. We hope to hear from you again!

Hello
Thank you for coming back to us a second time — and for leaving this review. Repeat customers are the best measure of whether we're doing things right.
The detail you've highlighted is one we're genuinely proud of. When gold prices move between the time a quote is issued and the time your items are tested, we reflect the higher value automatically — no need to ask, no need to negotiate. If the market has moved in your favour, you should benefit from that. It's simply the right thing to do.
For anyone comparing gold buyers in the UK, this is worth paying attention to. Not every buyer will voluntarily adjust upward when spot prices rise between quote and payment. At GoldMonkeys, that's standard practice.
Quick, professional, transparent — and a final payment that reflected the best available rate at the time of testing. That's what we aim for every time. Thank you again for choosing us!

Honest and Speedy Transaction
Cannot fault my experience using The GoldMonkeys.
Day 1. Used their website to get a price for my gold and order the gold selling pack.
Day 2. Pack received. Gold placed in pack and dropped off at my local Post Office. Didn't even have to pay for the postage.
Day 3. Received email confirming receipt of gold and the same agreed price. Money paid into my bank account the very same day.
I will definitely be recommending them to friends, family and anyone reading this review.

Dear Leanne
Thank you very much for your review!
"Best price by far" is something we hear regularly, and it's no accident. GoldMonkeys benchmarks every valuation against the live gold spot price, and our top rate pays well above 90% of that spot price — significantly higher than the 40-70% typically offered by high street gold buyers, and above the rates many online competitors quietly advertise.

So helpful & very honest.
Super impressed with this company firstly they were very friendly and helpful with answering questions which was great , but the most amazing thing is the honesty!
I was very happy with my quote but once delivered they contacted me to say the price of gold had increased and passed that bonus onto me.
It's so hard to know who to trust when selling gold as a lot do try to rip you off but if a company actually gives you more you know you're found an honest company. Highly recommend.

Anything less than 5 star would not fairly reflect our experience at Gold Monkeys.
Not only was the whole process very quick and easy but they came back with a price before I had expected them to receive the gold. The price offered was in our opinion a very fair and the money was in our bank within an hour of
acceptance. Super service.
