I entered a competition on social media and was contacted to say id won. Fabulous. All the details were given to me over the phone and a date was booked. I had to pay a £35 deposit to secure my date which is fine as I was told this could go towards my final balance of paying for pictures. I arrived to my appointment early but was still seen for hair and makeup late. There was no glass of prosecco on arrival as stated online or mentioned on the phone. The lady doing my hair and makeup was lovely and polite however my eyebrows didnt match. The foundation used didnt match the skin tone of my neck which was obvious in the photos. She poked an eyeliner into my eye which caused watering, She then burnt my forehead with the curler. I then had to sit and wait for the photographer for my session as someone was already in there and there was only one photographer in the studio. The photographer was great. Polite, lovely gave clear instructions. However when it came to outfit changes I was left waiting for 10 minutes each time. Once my photo session had finished, which was just over an hour I had to wait 1 hour and 25 minutes to view my photos. I was continuously told it wouldnt be much longer and I explained I needed to leave by a certain time so I could collect my children from school. That time arrived and was the exact time I was taken through to view my photos.
50 photos in total and it was struggle to pick the ones I wanted. 10 for £1000.
Of course the viewing was very rushed due to the fact I had waited around so long and needed to leave. The lady doing the viewing was lovely but extremely heavy on the compliments in every aspect. Not necessarily a bad thing but when you've waited so long and are in a rush its obvious its to try make up for the previous let downs of the day. It was very clear in photos that the make didnt match my skin tone as mentioned above so it was a struggle to pick photos I liked and wanted to purchase. The studio is split over three different buildings, yes close in proximity to each other but not quite what I expected. To be moved from pillar to post. This shoot was supposed to be an empowerment shoot with full VIP experience. I didnt feel like a VIP. I felt invisible and there as a cash cow. Funny how in the contract I had to sign it couldnt be completed unless I ticked that the viewing wasnt rushed. I was in there 15 minutes. I also didnt feel empowered at all. I left feeling less confident in myself than when I arrived. Not all the photos were taken from flattering angles and it was obvious that they didnt make me look or feel my best. I wouldn't recommend nor would I return. Im devastated that this experience is not as advertised or sold.

I was welcomed and made to feel at home straight away. Glow up is a well thought out set up with studios and sets that cater for a huge variety of styles and shoots. All the ladies are professional, warm and friendly. My photographer, Hunter, was incredible. Giving clear direction without crushing my own input and choosing sets to suit my age and look. She made me feel relaxed and at ease through her complimentary and encouraging attitude. It was a joy. I highly recommend Glow Up Studios.

From start to finish at truly lovely and empowering experience! The darling make up artist from Hong Kong! What an amazing lady so funny and made me look fabulous, the photographer was so kind and helpful and helped build confidence, I can't wait to do it all over again! Definitely recommend to all.

Everyone was very polite, sets were beautiful and really fun session. Long wait in between stages however- only negative!

The staff were so friendly, chic vibes throughout, amazing shoot backgrounds, such a sweet character of a hair & make up artist, and a lovely photographer who helped with posing. It all really made it a lovely experience. Would highly recommend to anyone who has low self esteem. Its fun, sexy and would do it again. All this from an Instagram competition.

I honestly have no words to describe my experience here at glow up. THEY WERE ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. My hair and makeup was absolutely stunning. The staff were so welcoming, always chatting too you making sure you are comfortable. So polite. I’ll definitely be coming back

I took my daughter for a modding experience and she absolutely loved it. The staff is very professional and friendly.

Make up and hair was done lovely, nice glass of fizz on arrival. Was made to feel at ease by photographer and manager Mandy was on hand throughout to help.

I won an experience at glow up studios, I came in and it was very welcoming, I was a bit nervous for my photos but the photographers made me feel at ease, they took great detail with the shoot making sure everything was correctly placed and helping me position myself for the best photo would highly recommend

Had a amazing experience from start to finish, they made me very comfortable and took into consideration my anxiety and physical disabilities and made me feel so reassured and allowed me to have someone with me to help me in and out of the outfit changes, they talked me though the whole process and made me very comfortable as I was very much out of my comfort zone

I had such an amazing experience with Glow Up Studios! From start to finish, Mandy, the Manager, was absolutely incredible. She guided me through the entire process and made me feel so comfortable and confident every step of the way. My photographer, Iryna, was equally amazing — so professional, friendly, and talented at what she does.
I also want to mention how lovely all of the staff were. From the makeup team, who made me feel pampered and beautiful, to Kaitlin, who went through all of our photos with us and made the whole experience even more special, everyone was so kind, welcoming, and professional.

The whole experience felt relaxed, enjoyable, and truly unforgettable. The photos turned out beautifully, and knowing these memories will last a lifetime makes it even more worthwhile. I would 100% recommend Glow Up Studios to anyone considering a photoshoot — you will not regret it!

Regarding prices, I advise to ask clear questions upfront on costs for purchasing pictures, as on the phone I was told I would get one free picture and £100 credit towards more but then I had to insist on this once there, as there was no record of it.
To clarify: you can buy your pictures for a price, packages are not super affordable but I fully understand the work the goes into this and why they’re priced like that - however, if you’re making the trip and taking time out of your day please make sure you have all the info on pricing upfront so you avoid disappointment once you’re there and also give yourself a chance to shop around in case you need somewhere with more clear pricing upfront that is in your price range .
