Movers were incredibly slow. Had to split my move up into two parts, I used bellhop for one and another online moving company for the other.

Other company: showed up on time, moved everything quickly, not an item out of place.

Bellhop: showed up late, overcharged well beyond my estimate, damaged some items and took three times as long as the other company.

Movers used many small time wasters to run the clock - started billing before the truck arrived (“let me just scan your QR code…”), many “empty trips” without carrying items back and forth into the property, spent 10-15 minutes in the truck between locations.

They damaged items in small & annoying ways. Am I going to file a claim to get $40 after you chipped & scratched the wood on my dresser? Can I make a claim for the plants that snapped in half? They even left some items on the street that they forgot about and I only discovered after they left.

Above all, their customer service is absolutely horrible. Would not wish this on my enemies.

My movers(Francis and Jesse) were prompt,friendly and quick. They even problem solved a few times.

I arranged for Bellhops to come load our PODS container, having never been through this process before. Leroy and Xavier came and did the work of at least three, if not four, men. They showed care and diligence about our belongings, especially the antiques, were strategic about the loading, and were pleasant to engage with throughout the process. Could not have asked for a better experience. I will be requesting them for unpacking when the time comes!

The guys who came to do the job were fast and efficient. We were prepared for the move to take about 6-8hrs but honestly between the loading/unloading and the drive, the drive to the new place took longer. First time using a moving service, was not that expensive and the whole process was easy to schedule.

We used Bellhop for a full home out of state move. The communication during the sales, loading and unloading process was really outstanding. The truck for both loading and unloading showed up right on time (which was super important to us), the teams loading and unloading were super punctual, professional and careful with our items. For an extra fee, we had our dedicated truck with a firm pick up and delivery date. I highly recommend this company. It is pricey, but if you need a job well done, this is it. No hidden fees, and you get a dashboard with the names of the crew contacting you. I really liked the visibility.

Miscommunication: A few days prior to the move, I received a text message indicating that my belongings were being transported to Georgia instead of California, which required immediate correction on my part.

Punctuality: On the day of the move, I waited for their team to arrive at 8:00 AM as scheduled. After 15 minutes of no-show, I had to make the initial contact. The movers arrived two hours late, and no one proactively informed me about this delay.

Misquoted Estimate: When I initially inquired about the expected duration of the move, I was advised that it would take approximately 3 hours with 2 movers. In reality, the move took 8.5 hours, resulting in a significantly higher cost (3x) than what was initially quoted.

Unresolved Damage Claim: The movers sent me a text message notifying me of damage to my lamp during the move and stated that your company would reach out regarding the claim. It took several weeks to resolve

THEFT: $13,000 worth of jewelry, watches and electronics never made it into my storage which I did not realize until I moved out 5 weeks later. It took the company over a week to even get me the names of the company they sub contracted to and the names of the movers who handled my move (the reviews online are not for bellhop as they subcontract out their work to other companies who are not vetted as they would not even supply me with a COI or give insight into their vetting and background check process). I have filed a report with the police and a claim with my insurance company as bellhop is taking no responsibility for this matter. They embed a "valuable list" deep in their documentation and never ask you to fill it out and if you don't they say they are not liable for any items that go missing. It is has been extremely painful to lose valuable items passed down through generations in my family and not to have anyone held accountable.

Cheapest moving company I found in LA and it was the best experience I ever had with movers. They were early, extremely fast and careful with my things (nothing broke) and worked with the limited parking issue that is Los Angeles.

Bellhop Moving simplified what is typically a stressful process, moving. Their crew was efficient and trustworthy, and they met all of their deadlines. I don't often put stock in reviews, but these were so convincing that I had to.

Easy to schedule and pay by cc. Lots of reminders. The only negative is that I was told I had to buy wardrobe boxes, when actually my mover had them. It would be much better if you were able to directly communicate with the moving company as soon as they are assigned, mine was great.
