Gelert hand warmers from Studio (Frasers) - didn't work and customer service were unhelpful- warm words but useless - eventually sending me replacements (to shut me up?) which didn;t work either. So instead of four useless items I now have eight, with harmful liquid which shouldn't really end up in landfillI. If you want hand warmers I would suggest trying a different kind. And I will definitely be avoiding anything from Studio in future.

Bought a pair of fur lined wellies for my girlfriend for Christmas, for our dog walks. She loved them at first, warm and comfortable and loved the colour. Sadly they barely lasted a few weeks before they split along the seam. The soles are barely worn in, the boots look practically new still but they are already letting in water.

I went to sports direct and purchased a pair of Gilert Wellington boots in black. The price was £40.00 pounds. The first pair split along the seam with the sole within two weeks. Being under guarantee I took them back and got a second pair pair. These split along the rear seam in three weeks so back I went to sports direct in Crayford and got pair no three. Within three weeks these have split on both feet. I walk my dog so nothing to strenuous. My advice is steer well clear of Gilert Wellingtons as there is clearly so manufacturing issues. I have now bought waterproof socks. Also you cannot contact the company direct to complain you get service botted about.

Don't be buying ladies waterproof walking boots! Second pair now that has fallen apart! Come away from seams first pair and lose sole the second pair!!

Bought Gelert ladies "leather" walking boots, black, from Clothing Runner for £18.99. (Normally cost more than twice as much from other retailers.)They lasted 5 WEEKS before they split on the seam on the instep, both boots. I'd used them for 2 hrs dog walking every day. The split revealed they were not real leather, but fabric. After another 3-4 months wear, the sole came loose at the heel. On the plus side, they were the most attractive boots I've ever owned, close fitting and elegant, true to size (40, I'm 6.5-7) the very opposite of clumpy, neither tight nor sloppy - very comfortable & light, and waterproof till they split! Would have been perfect if they'd lasted a lot longer than 5 weeks!

Received a pair of Gelert wellies last Christmas. Used in the winter months for dog walking. Rips have appeared in the fabric of both boots on the legs and feet in many paces also problem with leaking seams.

I was wearing gelert boots and the lace got caught in the metal fastening on tge other boot. I went on my face today and my head is sore. When i got up to sitting position i saw that the boots were literally tangled together with the loop on the right one caught in a metal hook in the left one. So dangerous if you were hill walking.

Terrible quality and terrible customer service. My walking boots literally fell apart after only a few months of light use. Because they were a gift, it was made extremely difficult for me to even contact customer service. I eventually managed to send them back to be assessed and refunded as they were clearly not fit for purpose - but Gelert returned them saying there was no fault with the product. Awful experience from start to finish.

Afther 10 months my shoes are broken everywhere. Never more Gelert for me. What a garbage!!!

I bought a Gelert jacket from Sports Direct at the end of November. Since the jacket is lightweight and not suitable for winter, I only started wearing it at the end of April. After just the second time wearing it, the fabric tore under the zipper. Shortly after that, the internal buttons (connecting the inner jacket) ripped off, and the seams started coming apart in several places. The zipper keeps popping open as if it's broken.

I contacted Sports Direct, but they refused to do anything about it, saying it had been too long since the purchase — even though the jacket was barely used. I am extremely disappointed with both the poor product quality and the lack of accountability. I expected better from a well-known brand.

Not sure what's happend to the build quality of Gelert products.

Been wearing there shoes for years. Good quality build, comfortable to wear. Last a good while.

Unfortunately.... brought a pair in March 2025. No heavy wear just general every day use. 8 weeks later. Both pairs are split down the little toe area, soles are nearly worn out.

Wtf!!!

Second pair of walking shoes that the soles has become detached in less than a year. Customer service is non existent the web pages provide no useful help as the pages just go round and round with no useful information on how to return goods.

Bought 2 pairs Gelert walking boots for our 4yr and 7yr olds last year. They were good for a few walks in the Lake District and locally - comfortable and pretty waterproof but during our walk up Scafell Pike I suddenly noticed that both boys had splits running down the side of all 4 boots. They had split the plastic / rubber at the sides where the boot flexes the most. Looks like a design issue.
I'd be wary of buying this brand again. They weren't hugely expensive (£40 per pair "reduced" from £60+) but I'm sure the way they've failed means that all of this model will eventually go the same way. Disappointing to say the least.

I have recently had two pairs of Gelert waterproof walking boots. Both did not last long, with the material breaking up and soles detaching, making them no longer waterproof. The second pair only lasted about a month. Very disappointed as I thought Gelert was a reputable brand in the walking clothing market.

I bought a pair of Gelert leather ladies walking boots from Sports Direct. This is not a criticism of Sports Direct but of Gelert.After one month one of the metal lace holders had detached and as time went on many more detached.Also both heals have worn thin. I did not return them as I had lost my receipt. The boots are otherwise comfortable and as I only have a State Pension I can not afford to buy a new pair.So I continue to wear them to take my dog walkies.The laces hold but the boots look very scruffy with half the metal lace holders hanging off I expected better from a firm like Gelert.ps. just found out Gelert is OWNED by Sports Direct!

Nice and comfortable. Only lasted a couple of weeks before toe ware and front left detached from sole at the toe. I have resorted to Evo stick contact adhesive for repairs.
