Gamblock Made a Real Difference for Me

I can’t say enough good things about Gamblock. From the moment I reached out, their team was responsive, professional, and genuinely supportive. They handled everything with care and made what felt like an overwhelming situation much more manageable.

Scam! Stay away

I would give zero stars if possible.

Before downloading the software, I identified several legitimate security concerns with the process they were using. Because those concerns were unresolved, I chose not to download or install the required app (HelpDesk Host on iOS). I will not install software on my device when there are real security questions.

Despite never downloading, installing, or activating the product, I was unable to obtain a refund — even after multiple attempts to resolve the issue with support.

Support responses were slow and did not meaningfully address the concerns raised. No practical resolution was offered. Instead of acknowledging that we had found an alternative solution that was immediately available and working effectively, the company continued to push their product and framed it as us “not wanting help,” which was simply not accurate.

Gamblock states that its mission is to help people struggling with gambling addiction. In our experience, that mission did not translate into flexibility, understanding, or customer care when legitimate concerns were raised. Retaining payment for software that was never downloaded or used, while positioning themselves as trying to help, felt inconsistent with that stated mission.

It is also important to note that their solution requires installing a third-party remote access app (HelpDesk Host), which currently holds a 1.3★ rating with overwhelmingly negative reviews on the App Store.

Given the unresolved security concerns, refusal to refund unused software, and the overall handling of this situation, I cannot recommend Gamblock. I strongly encourage others to carefully evaluate alternative solutions before purchasing and to steer clear if you have any hesitation.

You chose not to proceed with installation, which is of course your decision. During our correspondence, we offered practical ways to address your concerns, including working with your security provider regarding the issue raised, which Barracuda confirmed as a false positive, as well as offering alternative remote support options. These options were not taken up.

In your case, setup required secure remote access so we could correctly implement protection. We use established third-party tools for this purpose, and where concerns are raised, we are always willing to offer alternatives.

Regarding your comment about using alternative solutions—many people who come to us have previously tried other solutions that did not meet their expectations or were not suitable for their needs. Our focus since 2000 has been on building long-term, reliable protection.

We do understand that you had concerns. However, it is not accurate to say that support was unresponsive or that no resolution was offered, as multiple options were provided.

Our focus is on helping people put strong, lasting protections in place, and we remain available should you wish to revisit this with us.

If I could give zero stars that would…

If I could give zero stars that would be more appropriate. This is a total scam. When you start to download the software it is flagged by all security firewalls as malicious. When contacting the company regarding this there are lengthy delays in responding and the vendor failed to provide any credible evidence of software safety, refused to offer meaningful support, and ultimately declined to issue a refund despite the product never being used. They are taking advantage of people in a very vulnerable state - pathetic.

3 years of no gambling on slots on my…

3 years of no gambling on slots on my samsung devices :-) I love Gamblock, it is discrete and blocks online slots, it's a life saver. It can be a bit tricky sometimes getting everything updated and working right but the helpdesk are always super helpful. My top tip is *renew early* every time - it just keeps on going!

before i write my personal in depth story, theese are the essentials you should know:

PC: after installation by a remote agent from their side, I factory reset my pc and was able to gamble straight away.

iOS: After installation i could not gamble on app store casinos but could easily find some online casinos that worked, while some where blocked.

their "AI" system that they claim seperate them from other blocking services are completely false. this is not bulletproof since i was able to gamble on both iphone and pc after remote installation BY THEIR AGENTS.

my story:
bought subscription for pc and ios beginning of may 2025. writing this 22nd of may 2025.
TODAY i was finally helped and now have both my pc and Ios installation done.
the links they sent for pc installation after purchase were faulty and i got a remote agent from their side to download them for me today..

their customer service is horrible and straight up fake. you CANT talk to them through phone, only mail, that should be your first warining sign since their website has a phone inquiery..

they show no expertice or professionalism at all.
all parties work remote and dont have an afficient way to cooparate. I had so many errors and problems with them AND the installation.. they didnt know the problem and would just escalate the problem to ''higher ups''

you can get a response on average once per day through mail, by different people, so the thread gets messy and you dont get any sort of personal contact that takes care of your case.
vauge robot like responses, ignoring or straight up missing some of your questions and concerns

i saved up my last money for this and sold all my other devices, in hope that i would be safe with gamblock installed on my 2 devices that i know have.

after going through hell with their "team" for almost 3 weeks, i finally got it installed on my devices, just to see that a factory reset was all it took to gamble for pc, and my Ios device could within literally 2 minutes of looking find a website i could gamble on.. then they ban that site and ask me to send the others i can access..
and we all know that new casinos pop up everyday, so their service is basically useless or as good as other blocking services.

I hope i save someone with this

at this moment im currently waiting again.. for them to look into the problem.
at this point im asking for a refund that i wont get due to their policy.
Even if they make this all work in the end somehow, this review and warning is justified to be published

We did have a staffing issue, but it is now resolved.

We went over and above for you. We called you and spent hours listening to your grievances and tried to support you by encouraging you to go to Gamblers Anonymous and seek counselling. However, you did not listen to our technical instructions and so we had to complete them for you.

We sent technical instructions to your mother who you nominated and have not heard back.

It is imperative that someone on your end understands how to complete our instructions.

As described on our website, due to Apple’s policies, Apple Devices not obtained through us are a trade-off between functionality and security for the first 30 days. Functionality was opted for, however, now we need to go for maximum security.

On Windows, you did not follow our block factory reset instructions. However, we connected to your device and did it for you. While connected, we explained how to use our tools several times, but you did not listen to what we explained.

We stand ready to help your family. However, we cannot help you if you do not follow our instructions.

Dehumanising misleading and poorly managed.

Bought this 6 days ago not knowing how horrible and misleading the support and website really was.

Been waiting for a call for 5 days that they say would take around 24h. So thats just a bullshit form they put out. As everyone says. They never call.

The Only way you can get contact with them is through mail.. which are 80% vauge auto responses ignoring 90% of your concerns and questions. And you get a response once every 2 days on average. So it Will take like a week to get somewhat of an answer to a basic question or problem that would be Done in a 2min live chat or call..

Installation does not work even after complete reset of my pc, while having pc knowledge myself. after submitting proof of me doing everything right but still having problems and begging for help (THROUGH MAIL! since the much easier way would be a 10 minute call to a human for some humane and real contact is impossible)
I have yet to been answered in 3 days, while my mails regarding the remote iOS installation progress are answered once a day for now atleast..
So that Will probably take some time to get figured out with how poorly and ”robot like” responses are through mail.

When it comes to my iOS i am so scared after reading the reviews.
I dont have a ”sponsor” but i do have loved ones and family backing me and supporting me putting my last money to get ”help” (cant afford food now).

But apparently WHEN or even IF i can get in contact with a technical agent, i lose access to lots of essential apps like banking, traveling and socialising the first 30 days for no reason if i dont have sponsor..?

I dont even have the program installed yet but already regret this purchase after realising a warm, personal and helping 1 on 1 live chat/call is impossible.

Cant speak good/bad about their product in itself yet.. so i Wont. But i would strongly be aware of this company as a whole since their outside image does not represent the inside image and values they present in correlation to the relationship with their clients, so i do understand the whole scam hysteria, while i would not quite Literally call it that.. but its not a good look.

We have been understaffed due to the increase in demand, but we are training more people, and some have been on leave but are back on deck.

We could have improved the experience by ensuring that GamBlock® was installed and working immediately after purchase, so you didn’t have to wait or go through multiple follow-ups.

We do call. We should have called you as you met our phone criteria, in that you let us know that anyone who answered the phone was aware of gambling harm and gave us specific times.

You mentioned you only receive a response once every two days, but we replied to your emails daily.

There seems to be a misconception about restricted apps. Android, Windows as well as Apple Devices obtained through us have full protection and full functionality immediately. For Apple Devices not obtained through us, when a counsellor or sponsor is in the loop, or in your case, loved ones and family, you have full protection and full functionality immediately.

I’m glad we were able to get your device protected. I’d also like to apologise for the mistakes on our end. Please let support know if you would like two months extra protection to go towards making up for the understaffing and not calling you when we should have.

If you need our support, we will try and do better next time.

Deceptive, false advertising, violates legal rights

Terrible experience with GamBlock. I purchased their software, only to find out after buying that I couldn’t use it without a “sponsor”—a requirement buried in small print. If you don’t have a sponsor for 30 days your phone is not allowed other apps! Not even messaging!
I never downloaded or used the software, yet they refused to honor my EU 14-day right of withdrawal, which legally applies unless explicitly waived (which I never did). Their support was dismissive and unhelpful, ignoring consumer protection laws.
Deceptive marketing, unfair terms, and refusal to refund. I’ve escalated to PayPal and my bank. Avoid this company at all costs!

Will be reporting to the ombudsman unless refunded by end of week.

Edit: what a load of rubbish, under European consumer law I have 14 days to refund unused software unless I waive my right - which needs to be explicit checkbox and not buried in terms.
You restrict my legal right and I will ensure this is taken through relevant channels to either force you to comply or to restrict your entry in the European market.

Your support are no help - telling me to find a sponsor if I want to use banking apps etc. I do not have a sponsor.

Your website says my phone has “full functionality” in big bold letters and only down the bottom of the page it says the first 30 days this isn’t true. This is misleading.

Refund me, and comply with European consumer laws. Why would anyone trust a company who violate the law?

Gamblock favours gambling websites. If you have a funded account with a betting provider you have to wait 48 hours before you can withdraw your funds. If you don't, gamblock turns off within 24 hours so you are able to deposit and gamble again.
why would you be unable to withdraw your own funds whilst on a curfew?

Wohl weltweit die beste Möglichkeit sich vor Casino Seiten zu schützen. Man kann die App nicht umgehen und man kriegt sie auch von dem Handy nicht mehr runter. Ein großer Nachteil ist dass das Support Team sehr inkompetent ist. Beim installieren der App habe ich alle meine Daten verloren Alle 12.000 Fotos der letzten zehn Jahre alle Passwörter und alles was mir wichtig war. Nachdem nach einem Update auf iOS 18 sich das Handy nicht mehr starten ließ wurde mir dann „geholfen“ es sind wieder alle Daten weg das drauf spielen eines Back-ups ist nicht möglich weil auf dem Back-up Gamblock wieder drauf wäre. Für iPad und sonstige Devices mit denen man üblicherweise spielt sehr zu empfehlen für ein Business Telefon auf gar keinen Fall es ist viel zu gefährlich und die Typen haben keine Ahnung was sie damit anrichten.
Ich musste drei Tage in einem Hotel schlafen weil auf meinem Handy auch der digitale Schlüssel für meine Wohnungstür ist der jetzt ebenfalls unwiederbringlich weg ist.

I cannot recommend this enough
This product for me is hands down the best thing I have ever purchased
As someone who has had a gambling addiction for 14 years or so, over the years I've tried everything possible to keep myself safe and I can honestly say this is the only thing that works.
It is my own fault that once the subscription period is over I do get it removed and unfortunately I am then able to gamble but this is my own fault.
When I have had the protection is place is has been absolutely fantastic. I have installed both on PC and phone several times and once it is installed the is absolutely no way in hell I am able to access any gambling sites or anything gambling related. It can be a little tricky to install and uninstall but the team are there the help and they really do help! they are very fast at responding and are with you every step of the way to get you protected and stay protected. They do send follow up emails too to check if everything is still to your satisfaction. Any problem any time they will help.
I want to thank you for saving my life. I am ready to install again after a relapse and I cannot thank you enough. Whoever created this I wish nothing but success for you on a really remarkable product. I feel like still not many people know about this product and I really really hope this continues to grow and your exposure becomes greater because this is such a powerful piece of software. Thank you so much

I can’t believe this

I can’t believe this. I didn’t think it was possible to block every single thing I tried. I’ve been spending time with my family again for the first time in ages. I’m looking forward to rebuilding trust with my friends and getting back into golf.

Thankyou for helping my family. There seems to be more and more offshore gambling and crypto gambling. Gamblock has blocked them all. I'm catching up on sleep for the first time in a long time.

A block that works

I've Been using gamblock off and on now for about 10 years and it used to be a complete ball ache to set up but now they have got a set up that's so easy to use. I did have an issue once the software was installed but they sorted it within a day and now all is working smoothly. This is genuinely the only gambling software block out there that doesn't have a way around it.
