Impracticl Cancellation, and extra charges
I've been with Frontpoint for 14 years. My cancelation experience has bombed any positives I once had to say about the company. It took almost 3 months to finally get a human to request cancelation of my service. All my equipment has been paid for in full for years, and was on a month to month billing cycle.
After requesting to cancel, Frontpoint sent me a link to complete the process and was forced to pay for an additional upcoming month of service to submit the request. Everything had been disconnected and not used for a few weeks leading up to this point. This is a cash grab scam, forcing you to pay fore services that are not wanted, or needed just top cancel.

I've been with Frontpoint for years and they've always been wonderful! A few small hiccups here and there, but their team is always quick to help. I'm actually planning to upgrade my system soon. Just such a great company to work with!

Frontpoint has robbed me of $1,400 for 2 years
Frontpoint has robbed me of 1,400 dollars for the past 2 years. 2 years ago, I called and canceled the security service. On the phone, the man said everything was set and canceled. I moved on, the camera stopped working, and I had no service with them. I had checked, and for 2 months they didn't charge me, so I knew for sure that the service had stopped. Recently, in 2026 in February, I realised that my account funds were low, so I decided to check thoroughly, and I see that Frontpoint has been charging me, 50-something dollars a month, and it's been going on for 2 years. I called them and the woman said that she refuses the refund of my money that they stole from my account without my consent. She tried to justify the robbery of charges every month by saying, my account was never canceled, that I had to do an email to cancel it. I replied by saying, i have not had any service in the past 2 years, the service is deactivated, and she agreed that she sees that in her system. I said nobody ever told me i had to cancel only using email, and why did they stop charging me for 2 months only to then resume charging me without giving me back the service. If you are charging me, you could have given me the service back. Also, like stated before, I verbally spoke to the guy on the phone who ensured that it was cancelled and never mentioned the email. That sounds like an intentional charging scam. They refused to refund all the money they intentionally took without my consent and knowledge for 2 years, without providing me the service they were charging for. Please do not deal with this company; they are scamming people.

Criminal activity of FrontPoint
I have already submitted a review about how poorly the company’s customer service has been and how reluctant they are at honoring my request (I never gave them authorization to begin ) billing me for monthly service on equipment that is still in the box!!
Here’s a new item I discovered when they forwarded me their contact that I was supposed to have signed. I didn’t and the signature that is on the contract is a forgery. I do not sign my name as they have it signed on the contract; therefore, no contact exists between me and FrontPoint and their billing of me is not valid, unless any company can pick someone and start billing them. ( my sarcasm)
My advice is to stop your nonsense now because I am billing you my normal consultant fee of $250/hour. You are currently at 6 hours or $1500.

I've been a customer of this company for 6-7 years
I've been a customer of this company for years! Sadly, I've cancelled my service because I've had several times where my alarm has gone off and no one bothered to call me. Upon cancelling the services they offered to cut the price to $25 for 3 years. I declined for the reason above! I really got upset when they told me that I had to pay for an extra month because I failed to five them a 30 day notice.

Great Service
The tech answered quickly and he was very kind and funny. He walked me through getting my doorbell cam back working. He did it very quickly and politely. Every time I have called I have gotten excellent service. Front Point's tech services is by far the best customer service I have ever dealt with.

There’s layers of troubleshooting with frontpoint. In as much as I didn’t like reading those instructions and AI driven cold instructions I did it anyway and it helped shortened the person to person interaction. Kenny was just great. He cared. Frontpoint can never trained or instill that trait to their employee. He returned call, he waited. I was lucky that day to have him resolved my camera connectivity issue. He has the expertise and patience.

13 Year Subscriber
We subscribed to Frontpoint for 13 years, other than the expensive replacement of equipment, the overcharging of extended service and an 8 month service charge for cancellation; otherwise fairly good. Customer service has diminished from very good to mediocre over the years and the equipment has not improved much. The biggest fault I have found is that they have told us we were not under a contract during the last year, charged us replacement cost without a contract (50% higher) and high shipping costs.

I would have left 0 stars but Front Point is the WORST ever!! Buyer beware, it's smoke and mirrors and the customer service is basically cranky people being very rude. Trying to cancel the service is like enacting a triple bypass surgical procedure, going through hoops and twists and turns. Plus they have the audacity to charge you for an extra month because they rope you into signing their terms before you can cancel and then hit you with the extra charge. Then to make the situation worse, they invite you to reconsider keeping your subscription for half the cost you had been paying, what CROOKS!!!

Do NOT use Frontpoint in Canada
I was unable to completely set up this DIY service - overly complicated - so I used it -2 cameras for the entirety of my service. Unfortunately, the doorbell camera cannot survive through Canadian winters, despite being supposedly rated for the low temperatures. After a few replacements, I gave up and just had no front ring camera either. So I was paying for 4 camera, video links, but only actually had one
The WORST was attempting to CANCEL. I phoned numerous times and waited for extended periods online, trying to cancel my plan as I sold my house. Frontpoint were incredibly hard to get a hold of. I tried with online chat, but they told me they can’t cancel my policy. I’d left a message with their callback service, so they would call me back and I could cancel the policy… But they never called back. And when I finally got through, they “Bill in advance“ and don’t refund any monies so essentially wanted to charge me for two months after I have sold my house. Note: this is their regular policy when you’re not signed into a contract… Can’t imagine if I’d actually signed a contract with them!!
Completely NOT worth the frustration or cost, and the monthly cost was high. I expected much better customer service.
Save your money and support a Canadian company that has fair business practices.

Horrible customer service
Horrible customer service, no one on duty when I need assistance, nights and weekends. They also will not allow me to tell them to NOT renew my contract when it expires. I will be required to make another call to them the month before my current contract expires. They make things very difficult and have been dishonest with me.

Great until you try to cancel
Frontpoint is great until you try to cancel it. They literally won’t let you out of the contract, even if you leave the country and obviously don’t use their services anymore. And even after that deadline, they do anything they can to keep you paying. Go online and see for yourself what people are going through when they want to cancel. Stay away!
