I am amazed by my experience with Focusmate so far. It’s hard for me to sit with a task, particularly with one I’ve been avoiding or dreading. By signing up and committing to a short or longer session, my body relaxes and focuses. Having someone else working on the other end of the internet really allows me to work productively and with positive energy during the session.

This website is life changing. If you do not have traditional working hours it can really help to get you into a zone. Built for neurodivergents even though it is unstated this website has saved my life.

This website is vital to my productivity. Ever since I started using this website I've had the power to pursue the things I am interested in and push through the tough parts. The wellbeing resulting from this new ability has changed every other area of my life for the better. I would urge everyone to at least try this website once. I saw immediate benefits to my focus.

Focusmate has been the first real remedy to my ADHD that works. It eliminates 80% of all distraction! I use it from day til night, from making food and household tasks to building websites and preparing DJ sets. Absolutely amazing, one of the most life-changing tools I hjave ever used in my life.

Once you get in the groove, this tool is absolutely life changing. Especially if you are neurodivergent.

Focusmate has been a game-changer for me. Like so many others, I have ADHD, and I also work from home and am self-employed, so sometimes just sitting down at my desk can feel like a monumental (insurmountable) task; Focusmate gets me in my chair at a specific time with a list of things I need to do (even if the thing I need to do is spend 20 minutes figuring out what I need to do with the rest of my day!). Once I am "in the zone," I'm good, but getting there has been an uphill battle, and Focusmate solves that problem for me.

I also find that, once I've told my session partner what I plan to do, the accountability check-in at the end is all I need to get me to do it (this is particularly true with sending emails and/or making calls that I Just. Don't. Want. To. Do!).

Not only that, but the people are SO NICE! I feel like I'm in a warm community of people who "get it," and everyone is so happy to congratulate one another at the end of a session, even (especially?) for those tasks that ought to have been easy (phone calls, etc.) that I was avoiding for no good reason and that are almost embarrassing to admit need to get done.

50+ sessions in, I'm incredibly grateful to the friend who suggested it for me, and I am paying it forward to you!
