I’ve now had three separate Uber Eats orders from Five Guys Orpington where items have been missing — most recently a drink again.

Mistakes happen once. Twice is concerning. Three times is a pattern.

What made this worse was the way it was handled. I called the restaurant and spoke to a staff member named Jon, who was dismissive and condescending. Instead of offering a refund or resolving it properly through Uber Eats, I was told to “drive down and pick it up” myself — despite having paid for delivery. When I explained that wasn’t reasonable, he laughed and offered no assistance.

Beyond this specific incident, the branch itself often appears unclean when visiting in person, and staff presentation has not always inspired confidence. For a premium-priced fast food brand, you expect higher standards — both in accuracy and professionalism.

This isn’t about the cost of a drink. It’s about consistent service standards and basic customer care.

Unfortunately, this has been the poorest Five Guys experience I’ve had in the UK.

They obviously don’t care about their customers. We order from Five Guys Orpington through the Deliveroo App. Every time the food arrives the whole bottom of the paper bag is soaked with burger sauce causing the bag to burst open and all the chips etc. have fallen out of the wet Five Guys bag and into the delivery guys bag, which is very unhygienic and disgusting, so it all goes straight into the bin.
I phoned Five Guys Orpington thinking that they would want to know, and to ask if they could wrap the food better so everything is not leaking all over the place but the woman I spoke with was short, rude and unsympathetic. She told me to complain to Deliveroo and get a refund. I explained that I’m not looking for a refund, but I’m simply suggesting that they pack the food better eg: double bag it or something, so that it arrives intact. Why would I want to keep ordering from Five guys Orpington if I have to just throw the contaminated food away each time? Terrible service! Be more helpful, polite and try sorting the issue out. Your food arrives looking like a soggy awful mess. Pretty expensive and a waste of money for sure.

Overpriced food, chips weere warm and burger was crushed then on top of that they don't serve bacon or alcohol anymore. So I'll never use five guy's again.

Rude staff steal your money and get nothing delivered avoid this place

Five guys get 5 stars for the fries but the rest 0 hence the two stars, I popped in the five guys in Nugent orpington, the staff were very friendly. We got regular fries, a vegetable cheese grilled sandwich and a blt sandwich and two milkshakes with banana and peanut butter, we wanted to eat in they just serve like it's takeaway, the sandwich with vegetables and cheese was squashed in the foil, all the toppings fell out when trying to eat it, no cutlery so had to use fingers, it tasted nice though, now the milkshake after drinking about a quarter I felt really unwell like I'd eaten too much sugar. I googled five guys nutrition for UK, turns out the base vanilla milkshake is 69g of sugar the added banana 40g and the Peanut butter 3g that's 28 T-spoons of sugar, I think that information should be displayed. The info is not easy to find, Let's just hope a diabetic does not decide to try a milkshake.
