My daughter bought a really nice, tidy car from Fairways Cars in Milton Keynes (an AA approved garage) that she had saved for and bought herself. The vehicle had a long MOT, service and she also purchased an extended warranty which we assumed would give us peace of mind buying a second hand car. Unfortunately, after 6 months the car went wrong so we contacted Fairways and they said to take it to the garage that they use nearby so it could be checked and fixed. Unfortunately the garage was unable to assist with fixing the car so we had to try and find an independent garage who would help us out which wasn't easy. No-one seemed to want to help as they all said dealing with independent warranty companies is hard work! Luckily we found a garage who would look at the car but we had to pay out for the initial investigative work. Once we made the claim through the warranty company Handler Protect, providing them with everything they asked for, they rejected our claim, even though the items we were claiming for were listed as covered. As a last resort we contacted Fairways Cars to see if they could help in any way. On speaking with Haseeb it became clear that he was going to help in any way he could to help us rectify the situation. He spoke with Handler Protect directly, keeping us updated the whole time and came to a agreement with them as to a settlement. We’re so grateful to Haseeb for sorting this out for our daughter and in ensuring that she received the settlement promptly so she could get her car back. It’s a shame the warranty company were difficult to deal with but Fairways Cars have been nothing but helpful in getting this situation rectified. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.
