I have to postponed a tour due to family issues and my deposit just were not refunded ??? They clearly prefer to keep £100 deposit than a return customer which is very dissapointed but doesn’t surprise me after reading some of the worst reviews !! Please don’t use this “travel agency “ they don’t care about you! How pathetic!

Weren’t given info that our second night in Rome we had to change hotels - luckily we saw someone from the group that we’d spoken to in reception the day before walking along with a suitcase prompting us to ask questions. Some accommodation so tiny only 1 could fit in bathroom ( and we are 2 small people). Given single beds at times despite request for double. Lots of time wasted with info that could have been given on the ever so long bus rides. Food very ordinary and cheap. The good thing was- we travelled to many places in an incredibly short period of time. With a full bus, from various countries, infection prevention was non existent. People allowed to cough and splutter. No hand sanitiser on bus, no masks offered or suggested for preventing spread- consequently nearly the whole bus ended up sick. And don’t mention the hard sell on the coercive tipping - we tip for good service but this was way over the top!

At Expat Explore, we’re committed to making travel possible, and we understand that communication plays a huge role in that. As the season picks up, hotel arrangements can change unexpectedly. It doesn't happen often, but from time to time, our suppliers may make changes that affect our reservations and, in turn, impact our passengers. For this, and the delay in relaying the information, we are truly sorry. We have used this experience to leverage better deals and stricter change penalties to deter suppliers from making such changes.
Europe’s charm often lies in its historic cities, offering the chance to explore stunning landmarks and architectural treasures. However, this also means that buildings—and rooms—tend to be on the smaller side and have old-world charm. Our procurement team carefully considers these factors when contracting hotels to provide the best possible experience, though limited space can sometimes be unavoidable. That said, we’ll make sure to pass along your feedback to help us continue refining our offerings.
We completely understand how disappointing it can be when "coach flu" affects the group, and it’s something we always try to manage as best as we can. While we encourage good hygiene practices and keep the coach as clean and safe as possible, it’s not always easy to prevent illnesses from spreading or to require passengers to wear masks.
Tipping is a wonderful way to show appreciation for the amazing service our Tour Leaders provide. They work hard to ensure everyone has a positive travel experience. That being said, tipping is by no means mandatory, and we have passed your thoughts along to the relevant teams to ensure we’re striking the right balance going forward.
We’re so happy to hear that, despite these challenges, you were able to tick off so many incredible destinations on your bucket list! Travelling to such iconic places is a special experience, and we hope you were still able to find joy in the sights and the journey itself. Best of Europe Tour October 2024
Tour October 2024. Like other operators, this company remains "fluid" in other words don't expect to achieve all they offer as everything is "subject to change".
The tour leaders always try to do their best but the tours are fast paced and they really try to cram more than is practicle into the schedule. You cannot realistically see much of a country in 40 minutes including lunch for example.
The accomodation is mediocre at best and the worst part is seeing honeymoon couples stuck in twin single rooms with no chance of upgrades. Come on guys it's time to improve your act.

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. It is very disappointing to hear that you did not have the experience we set out to provide. We always strive to prepare travellers for the possibility of last-minute changes, simply based on the season, where suppliers do, at times, come back and make unexpected changes. This does not always materialise, but it is always a possibility.
Our aim is to offer enriching and affordable travel experiences by including as much as possible, but we understand that a fast-paced schedule can be challenging.
As for accommodation, yes, we partner with 2-4* hotels located further from the city centre, but we endeavour to always have hotels close to public transport to keep costs down and pass those savings on to our travellers. Our contracted accommodations are twin-share, and we do make this clear in advance. We do try to contract double rooms for couples, if requested, but this is not always possible.
We appreciate your feedback, and we hope to have the chance to deliver a better experience for you in the future.
European Tour EC150924
We went on this tour very wary of what to expect from this, never having done anything like this before. Well what a journey we went on, all the great places we have seen with 40 strangers that soon became friends and family. Very lucky to have had the best tour guide in Antonio and Ivo the BOSS of drivers how he managed to get that coach into some of those places was great. Both Antonio and Ivo went above and beyond what was expected of them thoughout the tour, taking us to places we never thought we would see. Nothing was ever a problem for either of them and always helped with a smile, a special thanks to Antonio for being a good friend to David. All the hotels we stayed in were very clean and tidy, comfy beds. We found this tour great value for money there is lots of walking but well worth it for what you will see.

The prices of their tours are very affordable especially compared to other companies out there.
They let you change your date as many times as you like (within the time frame) with no fees.

BEST OF UK & IRELAND TOUR
This is my second tour with Expat Explore.
So many wonderful destinations are covered by the Best of UK & Ireland tour!
Ireland and Scotland are particularly beautiful. It was a treat to visit Stonehenge and the English towns/cities of Liverpool, Bath, York & Cambridge.
This is travellling - not a relaxing holiday on the beach. Be prepared for early starts each day - but it's definitely worth it to cover so much territory and perhaps determine whether you'd like to return to see more.
With so many meals included, this tour represents good value.
We had an exceptional tour guide in Luke Watson. And together with our driver, Chris, they made an excellent team! Both were entertaining, considerate and respectful.
Luke is very passionate about the places we visited. He shared information and stories in his own unique and fun style - we all laughed a lot!
His incredible positivity, good humour and kind spirit absolutely elevated this experience for us all. A brilliant ambassador for Expat & the travel industry!
There should be dedicated "Luke Watson guided tours" - he's that good!

The Best Experience
The best experience I had in all my tour , to see the most of Europe in a small amount of time.Jemma our Tour Leader try to squeeze the time so that we can see the whole of Europe and Peter our driver drive smoothly. I dont usually sleep when traveling by land but with Peter on the wheel
I can sleep peacefully also he is very honest I left my purse on the coach and when I am looking it the following morning he handed it to me . Very honest. The only thing that need improvement is there is hotel that we stay in Rome that we have 2 flight of stair before we get in to the elevator..That is so annoying bringing my 2 suitcases specially for seniors like us...

We are about to do our 3rd and 4th tour with Expat Explore and we are very happy with their tours. However, yesterday the 15th of July we saw a tour around Brazil on a hot deal advertised at £1103. Four of us saw this deal and I immediately emailed to make a booking for the 4 of us.I wanted to deal with the same consultant as this would be a tour immediately before our Peru tour. My email yesterday was not responded to but it was sent after 5 pm. I then phoned 3 times this morning and could not get hold of the consultant. He got back to me at about 2.30pm and we were able to finalize our booking BUT the price was now £1405. We really want to do the tour but I am very disappointed that they have not honoured the price that was advertised yesterday

With limited seats per tour, prices may rise as the tour date approaches, and demand increases, or prices may decrease to encourage sales.
The price increase you noticed could be due to higher demand or market changes. On the other hand, promotional prices are special, lower prices that we offer for a limited time to encourage new purchases or reward our loyal customers.
We understand it can be frustrating to see a lower price after purchase. However, prices can also increase, so buying early secures your seat/tour and avoids potential price increases.

We took the 21 day best of Europe tour…
We took the 21 day best of Europe tour and did get to see many wonderful sites but I would like for everyone to be aware that it should be for a younger crowd in excellent condition. We had a young tour guide and finding pubs seemed to be an important aspect of the tour. The write up said there would be some walking over uneven terrain but I consider brisk walking for 1 to 3 hours in 95° temperature a little excessive so beware when you book the tour. If you do not enjoy drinking or have any mobility issues at all, do not book the tour. I paid for three optional tours that I was not able to take because of the excessive walking and could not get a refund for. If it’s not a problem for you, then book the tour. You do get to see a highlight or two from each country on a very fast paced schedule. The tour guide was nice and fairly knowledgeable.

We are, and have always been, very transparent about how jam-packed and, at times, fast-paced our tours are, and that they are not suitable for travelers with mobility issues. That being said, we take the responsibility of enriching lives very seriously. Should travelers choose to join despite our warning, we will never discriminate, but we do encourage travelers to opt out of some of the more strenuous activities.
We understand this isn’t for everyone, but our goal is to help travellers experience all Europe has to offer.
We understand that Expat Explore may not have been a good fit for your personal travel preferences and are very disappointed that we didn’t meet your expectations. However, we remain hopeful that you will give us another opportunity in the future to help you make some lasting travel memories.
Nonchalant Attitude
Expat Explore Tours are very fast paced but I will give them that they do pre-advertise this. However, a few people on my tour fell very ill and the lack of care or knowledge of care for the passengers was shocking. People were left stranded or without medical attention. Make sure you're properly insured on tour because Expat Explore sure isn't going to help you out when things go wrong.

The well-being and safety of every traveller who steps foot aboard our coach are, and always have been, our number one priority. From time to time, a situation will arise where travellers require medical care, and our tour leaders are trained to find the best solution to ensure those travellers are taken care of. That being said, our secondary objective is to ensure the enjoyment of the other 40-plus travellers on board, who may never again have the opportunity to tick these destinations off their bucket lists. For this reason, we stress the importance of travel insurance; this ensures travellers have the means to handle any unexpected emergencies that may arise in a foreign country. It is disappointing to hear that you feel our support of these travellers fell short.
That said, we take your comments on board and will scrutinise our current process to ensure that managing this is improved.
Thank you again for sharing your experience, and we hope to have the opportunity to provide you with a more positive experience in the future.
No refund or credit for family emergency
No refund, credit or postponing for compassionate grounds 8 days before tour. Tour was booked through Tourhub for tour provider Expat, neither would offer a refund, postponement or credit for family emergency. Evidence could be provided but they would only quote T&C’s. Very disappointing service.

It is disappointing to hear that you found our service to be faulty. Unforeseen emergencies are precisely why we require travelers to have travel insurance, to cover themselves in case they are unable to join the tour. As you can imagine, 8 days before departure, we have already made payments to our suppliers and are liable for cancellations.
At Expat Explore, we value great customer service and always do our very best to prepare travelers for their adventure.
We are able to assist you in claiming from your insurer, and we have requested that a letter be provided to you. If you have further questions, please do not hesitate to reach out.
The worst tour experience ever!
We just got back from our trip 'Europe Jewel's with Expatexplore (EJ240524) with a tour guide Ken and a driver Jeff. The tour started on May 24 2024.
The trip could have been very good if we had a different guide. Our guide Ken was a very cold, unfriendly person who didn't care about people, their requests or problems. One girl got lost during the excursion. We don't know what happened to her. Some people were abandoned, lost and returned to the group on their own... Ken even mentioned that 7 people were lost during one of his tours... It's just that this fact is very frightening.
We have traveled with other tour companies and safety has never been an issue, but not in this tour with Expat and Ken.
Another point worth mentioning: it was very cold on the bus, people were wearing hats. We and the other people in the group asked Ken several times to adjust the temperature to a comfortable temperature, but there was no action on his part. As a result, some people got sick.
Many complained about the constant music on the bus. Everyone should understand that this tour is very eventful, with a lot of walking every day. People need to take a nap while sitting on the bus. With constant music, it is impossible to rest. Despite people's requests for a break from music, nothing has changed. We were told that the bus is the office of the driver and guide, they can listen to music anytime they want! They don't care, people don't want that music all the time!
Some people didn't make it to the dinner they paid for because they got lost on the way...
We believe that people like Ken cannot work as a group guide at all. This was our first experience with Expat and it was very disturbing and tense because of Ken's dismissive attitude towards the group members. We could have had a much better experience with expats if we had a different guide, but unfortunately we experienced the worst.
After reading the reviews of other travelers with expats, we can see that this is a normal scenario from this company. ;(
We recommend staying away from expats and traveling with other companies that prioritize travelers' comfort and safety! Save your money and nerves!

Hope the tour is better than the service I've gotten
I'm hoping the tour is better than the service prior to travel. I asked for an itinerary since the tour just passes by The Vatican, Colosseum, etc. so I could book my own tours to see more than just driving by. I booked a tour of the Colosseum and later realized the itinerary they sent was different than what was online. I asked for a credit for the tour I booked since we would not be in Rome that day and they refused and said their itineraries are subject to change. But the itinerary didn't change - THEY SENT ME THE WRONG ONE. UPDATE: The response says to contact them - but I already did prior to posting my review. I certainly understand people make mistakes, but that mistake cost me over $250. I only asked for a credit towards optional excursions I would be taking with Expat Explore. They flatly rejected my request.

Our journey with EXPAT Explore on their Europe Taster trip during the summer of 2022 was a memorable experience. This tour allowed us to delve into six different countries, each presenting its unique charm fitting the ‘taster’ theme of the trip.
Our tour guide, Gustavo, was a notable aspect of our experience. His knowledge and enthusiasm added a great deal of value to our trip.
The trip was well organized featuring a mix of iconic landmarks. The choice of destinations and activities provided a glimpse into each country, ideal for those experiencing these European regions for the first time.
One aspect of the trip that could be improved is the long ferry ride across the English Channel from UK to France. Although it was an interesting experience, the time spent on the ferry felt somewhat prolonged, taking up a considerable portion of the day.
The Europe Taster trip with EXPAT Explore was an enjoyable experience. I would certainly recommend it to anyone eager to explore Europe for the first time.

Unforgettable Experience
Our classic Europe tour was spectacular. The tour leader and driver went above and beyond to make sure that we would be able to see all the famous tourist spots and experience the different cuisine in each country. The optional excursions were also woth it. Gustavo and Lucas made sure that we were safe and happy. I can't thank them enough for making our trip so memorable.

We loved our Europe Taster tour with Expat. We took along adult children and teen age grandchildren. The pace of the tour was perfect for young people. We saw so many beautiful places and had so many wonderful experiences. Six countries, wonderful introduction to western Europe and truly encouraging for future travel. Our tour director, Gustavo, and our tour drive Bogdan were the very best, always thoughtful and informative and fun!
