First time in Manchester., on my checklist I had Enish.., and it was a hit back to back
The atmosphere, service., the meal., was all top notch. Definitely gon visit again and again.

One of my favourite places.
I'm so grateful for the expansion of this brand. The prices have gone up a little, but that's expected. I'd still recommend this place to everyone who would hear. Especially the Lewisham branch, as it's close to home, but Ilford is where the vibe is at.

Portion of Asun for the price is ridiculous!

Went to celebrate my partner's birthday, the staffs informed us they will be closing 23.30p.m. very sad, no volume on music shown on screen, we should have gone to our usual Enish at Cold Harbour Lane, close to Brixton, we will never go there again.

Absolutely disappointed by the service, the white guy working there is absolutely rude from the begging to the end.
First when we entered the restaurant the girl wasn’t aware we had reservation, he had to come and ask the same stupid questions as her and clearly no one was aware about our booking. The girl who also was assisting us when she was asked for something just ignored us. At the restraint was very very hot and no AC at this weather ….. when we ask if they can turn on the AC of course was some look at us and then she said something no one knows what but still no AC.
There was another young boy who served us he was amazing.

Talking rude to customers who are regular and loyal to Enish and years after been visiting and ordering food from Enish that was my last time and obviously last time order food online or visit.

When my food was taken away even I asked the waiter can you not take plates while people are outside I was disappointed to come back and my food was missing when I asked where is my plate that silly guy came to tell me yeah it’s been taken away because you didn’t have much. I said I made a request not to be taken and he was still explaining to me that there is not much food left.
So he offered to bring a new meal and I agreed. When he came he slide the plate to me with the words - Here you go that’s the rest of your food. And yes when I look at the plate that’s was a joke I had less than I left at the first time.

I have never seen that before when a waiter offer the replace your mail to bring 2 bites for compensation.

Well done Enish I had the worst experience and after nearly 5 years of loyalty and my family been enjoying your food.
It’s time to goodbye and try new Nigerian restaurants.

Unfriendly hostess with poor customer service at the Oxford street branch. I made a reservation online. I received confirmations of the reservation. We got there and the hostess abruptly and rudely said they don’t take same-day reservations. So why was I able to make a reservation online? It should say that on the website and there should be no way to make a same-day reservation.

So we had to wait. The hostess displayed no empathy or apology for the error on their part. She had a rotten attitude so I’m not sure why she has a customer-facing role. On the bright side, our server was friendly.

I had the assorted meat stew which was mostly okay but the beef was hard and dry. It needed to be slow-cooked.

So I came for a training in London I happen to be staying at an hotel in front of your restaurant at camberwell Green. Your sales person is very unwelcoming, she even discouraged me from buying slushy because in her opinion I might be taking too much sugar, how is that her business, I found it very rude, does she know me, on that day the food I was buying was my first meal of the day around 5pm, maybe she needs training in selling and not interrogating customers for their choices. Both times I bought food she was rude and condescending.
The food itself is however great.....

The 2 stars are for the two positives.

1. The button you press when you’re ready to order.
2. We were served by two young gentleman who were quite attentive and polite.

Negatives.

1. I had grilled goat meat, and I asked the server if there was a possibility of having it with any sauce/gravy. He said yes but it would cost an extra £5!! I declined. The meat when it came was quite dry and tasted of nothing other than pepper.

2. Overpriced for what you get. The best thing about this whole meal was the plantain. The jolloff rice was also very hot but lacking in flavour.

3. I have never been to a restaurant where they charge you for containers (£1 each).

Suffice to say, I will not be returning.

I placed an order with this restaurant in Knightsbridge and the driver didn’t deliver the food didn’t call me nor rang the door bell. I try to contact the driver several times but he’s phone was not even on when he allegedly was making the delivery. I called the restaurant to report this and seek a solution and they told me simply nothing they could do about it when I spent over £29 and waited for an hour without any delivery.

The service was lovely and the decor was lovely. We were a party of about 12 and it was a Wednesday lunch time. We ordered over £300 worth of food. I had yam porridge and chicken, my mum had talipia, others had fried rice etc. Mum said her fish was oily (she's a chef) and my cousin's food looked a bit iffy but we didn't complain. We thanked them and went on our way. 2 am that night I woke up with an upset stomach. I threw up not once, not twice but three times. Then I had the runs repeatedly. I couldn't move the next day my body was so deflated and I had stomach problems for a whole two weeks after. By far the worst food poisioning I have ever had. When I phoned the manager she said I needed proof. Not only will I never go to that Enish resturant but I will never go to any Enish resturant ever again. Not for that money.

Enish Lewisham, avoid at all costs.I Ordered on two Sunday in a row. 1st Sunday ordered via phone I was told order will be ready in 25 minutes, got to restaurant had to wait over an hour for order to be ready. 2nd Sunday today 10th March 2024 i ordered via phone again (£60 worth of order), i collected the order (Taking into consideration I live some 5 miles away) and when I got home they had forgotten the pounded yam (the main item of one of the meals) I phoned them saying they had forgotten the pounded yam, i asked them if they could deliver the pounded yam they had forgotten since it was their mistake, the Woman just said I had to come back to the restaurant and pick up the pounded yam. After this I then asked if I could speak to the manager, instantly without even asking anyone she said the manager was busy and is not available to speak. I gave them the benefit of the doubt the first Sunday I ordered but messing up 2 Sundays in a row, come on.........

One of our party of 6 arrived at Enish Ilford 10mins before our booking at 8 and was told there was no record of the booking. They rang the member of our party who’d booked (for her 30th birthday) who happened to be in the car park (with 4 of the party) opposite the location. The exchange was on loudspeaker at our end so I heard a man ask if a deposit was taken (one wasn’t asked for) and when the booking was made and the time (details given); he kept insisting that there was no booking so my niece went in to speak to them in person. After about 15mins we were told we could come in but we would have to leave within 3hrs. This set the scene for an evening that will be memorable for all the wrong reasons.

The waiter (Baio) was polite and helpful but the drinks ordered while we waited for the food took ages to arrive. The music was great but so loud we couldn’t hear each other speak nor hear the staff when they spoke to us when placing our orders for food. We we sat in direct line of an air conditioning unit which was blasting cold air, but when asked to adjust it they ignored us, later turned it off after we reminded them and then turned it back on again.

Our orders arrived at different times so that we were not eating together. I ordered the beans plantain and chicken and was surprised I only got one piece of chicken with this meal. Luckily i’d ordered chicken wings as a starter to share (which came with the main course) so was able to supplement my dish with this chicken. The chicken was tasty as was the plantain. The beans were below the expected standard.

The restaurant filled quickly and it transpired that there was a surprise birthday party booking that night which took the staffs priority; this is evidenced by speaking to another small party of diners that came in after us for their booking only to be told there was no record of their booking! It doesn’t take a genius to work out that they bumped all their prior bookings to accommodate a party for which they would be able to present a massive bill.

The portions (apart from the amount of chicken) were large but in my view the food and alcoholic drinks are overpriced.

The owners clearly spent money on the decor which was lovely but this did not extend to the (ladies) toilet which was cold, basic and not renovated to the same standard as the front of house.

I was going to give this branch the benefit of the doubt and give another a try but having read the reviews, it appears we had a lucky escape. Such a shame as there aren’t many Nigerian restaurants

Customer service is non existence, not a single member of staff said hello or smiled to me or my husband throughtout the entire time we were there.
We were greeted with raised eyebrows, instead of 'Hello, would you like a table? I asked if we could dine in and was given 2 menus and the choice of 2 table numbers that we had to go find ourselves! 10 mins later someone else came, stood next to our table and said 'What do you want'? Really? Is that how you speak to paying customers. I'm used to a smile, warm greeting and 'Are you ready to order or what would you like to order?
The staff are unattentive, miserable and lazy. They need some serious hospitality training! We were not told about the buzzer on the table to press when ready for meals, so waited 45 mins for our main meal, then when I enquired, was told, 'did you not call the staff to say you're ready'? Well if the staff weren't so busy sitting around on their phones and too lazy to explain the basics, we would have known.
We asked for a cup of hot water with some lemon wedges,was brought a full glass jug of boiling water without handles (carafe), no cups and one tiny wedge of lemon cut in half with what looked like beetroot on it. My husband asked for the cups and was told 'we don't have'!!! We asked how we should pour the boiling hot glass jug that had no handles, the server just looked at us then said he doesn't know because its very hot to hold. Unbelievable!!! I questioned the stained lemon and was told it was blackcurrant made in a previous cocktail drink. I mean, just 😲, if we weren't so far from home. We almost left 3 times! The place was stuffy, with no windows open, no ventilation just breathing in other people's breath. Very unhygienic.

The food was awful, 3 chicken wing starters for £10, was chewy, smelt funny, tasted bad and the bones was black, goodness knows where or how this was stored and when it was cooked. The goat meat (definitely cheap old mutton) was like small pieces of car tyre in oil, hard bits of rubber which just tasted of salt and chilli, no flavour whatsoever. Rice was dry, no sauce, NOTHING LOOKED OR TASTED FRESH.

Very disappointing but we were both hungry after fasting all day and had a 90 min journey so ate what we could.
Stomach ache all evening now.
Terrible service with tasteless stale food to match. Worst service we've both had from a restaurant EVER!! Will NEVER go back to NONE of their branches, total waste of money!!!

Had much better service with friendlier more professional servers with fresher, tastier well cooked and beautifully presented food in The Gambia and that's a very poor 3rd world country. What a shame this could not even be matched here!

Food was okay. Prices are ridiculously high. Service was terrible. Don't take a booking and then cancel it for a bigger booking. Music was too loud and aggressive air conditioning, so was sitting in the cold. Packed together, so no room. So many people in such a small place. Honestly just avoid the Ilford branch. You'll thank me later. Would never go again!!

I visited with my daughter and son to celebrate her birthday. WRONG choice we made. This was the worse food l have ever had, in fact we could not it eat any of it. I had the Eugie soup with fufu (the fufu was like it was made in the Sahara Desert because it was so graney almost like it had sand in it. The eugie meat was disgusting and seemed like 1 month ago food just warmed in the microwave. My children had jollof rice and suya… Jesus the worst taste ever, the rice smelt and tasted burnt and the suya was the cheapest cuts of meat (the fat) if you paid me to go back l would pass. Then the cheek to charge £60 for some Tesco bottle of wine. My hard earned money down the drain. I would’ve preferred if l had lost my money to a homeless person rather than giving this place my £200 for food we couldn’t eat. Rubbish place and even though none of the dishes were eaten they still said we had to pay for it. Worse experience ever!!

We went to the Covent Garden Enish to try it out. The food was terrible. I had goat which was cut up pieces of the worst cut. Among the bone and fat, I managed to find a small amount of meet which was tough. The rice was burnt and smelt like an ashtray. I don’t think I’ve ever left food, but couldn’t eat it. A bargain for £28! Two for onecocktails were ok.

The food tastes so delicious and very massive in size for the prices,they are the best restaurant have been to and the staffs are polite and treats customers with courtesy

During my recent visit to Enish on 25/10/23, an unfortunate incident transpired, leading to significant inconvenience. While dining, an accidental spill of cola bottles occurred, resulting in damage to my attire, footwear, and newly purchased phone speaker. Despite bringing the matter to the attention of the manager, the response provided failed to address the issue adequately. Consequently, I settled the bill in full, amounting to 150 pounds. Regrettably, the manner in which this situation was handled left me dissatisfied, prompting me to withhold any recommendation for this establishment
