They charged us £675 for replacing silicone in the shower

Same as many other reviews, scammers who charge a fortune for a simple plumbing job. Problem trying to track this mob down as I'm trying to pursue a legal claim. Has anyone managed to take this lot through the County Court small claims process?

Seems the plumber who visited me is part of 'Maintenance Services Group' but they are associated with multiple parent company names (OSO Engineering, DM Plumbing and Heating, Property Maintenance Services) and a managed office making it difficult to pin them down and potentially get any money refunded.

Do not use. They came out and charged £419 we still have the blockage and they want to charge us more to come back out.

I don't write Trustpilot reviews often, but I'm expressing for everybody to avoid using this company at all costs.
Biggest scam I've ever witnessed.
They tell you it's £200 upfront for one and then charge for two hours work on top (I was charged £480 before the plumber even turned up), got yelled at on the phone for daring question the practices, the plumber (that they outsourced, you could just ring someone local yourself for a fraction of the price) that didn't even know what he was called out for.
The rude man on the phone refuses to refund me directly, so I'm taking it through with my bank.
If you get stuck with them, do not let up.
Ask for him to mail you an invoice once it's done, speak to your bank if you have a similar situation as myself.

They say calls are recorded, but I asked for said recordings to prove about what I asked for and him agreeing it could be done (it couldn't) and he told me to wait seven days, and seven days I called again, and then he said he didn't know I was talking about so to wait a few days more.
Record phone conversations and don't expect email responses.

UPDATE FROM 09/10/2024:
My battle with this scammer continues.
I have learned they have three other websites using the same strategy, so from my research, I can conclude they are: Maintenance Services Group, (potentially) Perfect Plumbers, Emergency Plumbers UK and Valingo Landscapes.
The registered company name is Maintenance Services Group Ltd.

Refused cancellation, refused refund despite work not being carried out, immediately abusive on the phone when I questioned why he had fraudulently claimed to privately contracted plumber that he was the landlord for the property. No name or address of business provided via email. Used government website to search the phone number given in the invoice email (not the same number I had called throughout the morning.) Upon research I found that the number on the invoice was from Perfect Plumbers LTD who according to Companies House at the government website was forced to dissolve in 2021 but from other trust pilot reviews for Perfect Plumbers LTD has been operating illegally with the same scamming techniques as Emergency Plumbers UK. Please report either company to Citizens Advice Bureaux who can pass onto Trading Standards if you have had any trouble with this company.
Bank's fraud team made me aware that this is called a social engineering scam.
Avoid at all costs.

Not great - told they've be 30-90 mins for a boiler emergency but they took 4.5 hours. Communication is really poor and you have to pay upfront so you can't cancel if they're so late! £200 call out charge + £100per hour, all up front. I won't be using them again.

We had a leak in our ceiling so naturally panicked, upon calling this ‘seemingly reputable’ website, we were told it would be £80 for a call out, we agreed to that figure, they guy turns up and charged us over £100 to just turn up and tell us they charge £195 an hour, we unfortunately cannot afford over £195 an hour and having been told that information on the phone we wouldn’t have agreed to the £80 call out fee.

Don’t use them! It’s a scam to get more money from you!
