Ebac Smart dehumidifier is amazing.
My husband bought an Ebac dehumidifier for our tanked out basement area because it had a bathroom and we never had any problems. My husband died in 2003 and our family separated and moved not to far away from each other. I live in an apartment with a lot of condensation around the windows due to Blackout curtains and blinds and I also dry washing and I thought a dehumidifier would help. What my husband choose was always best, so I choose a Ebac smart dehumidifier, which I think is amazing.

Poor customer service, no point of giving long warranty
I bought a Ebac 2650e dehumidifier from their website on 5th February 2026. It stopped to collect water after 15 days.
I wrote to an email their customer service and I did not get any reply from them. Luckily, the humudifier sterted to collect water after couple of days later.
I was thinking to buy their washing machine as well. They give 7 years warranty. There is no point any number years of warranty as long as they have very poor customer service.
There are very bad reviews for ebac.com uk on Trustpilot. Its rating 2.5 star. It is the same company and why two different website reviews?

However, we have been unable to locate any correspondence relating to an issue with water collection for your dehumidifier. We sincerely apologise if your message was missed or if you did not receive a response when you expected one.
We’re pleased to hear that your unit resumed collecting water after a couple of days, but we completely understand that the lack of communication has affected your confidence in our service. This is certainly not the level of support we aim to provide.

Condensation gone
Had a bad condensation and black mould problem in a bedroom,opening windows and doors did nothing to help.after removing the mould and treating the problem the mould would always come back.a friend suggested a dehumidifier to control the humidity.after a lot of research,we decided on the ebac 4580. We plugged it in and it starts on smart mode ( recommended) no need to fiddle with settings, within 24 hours the smell of damp has gone completely.and the machine is taking 1-2 LTRs of water out of the air
every day.the humidity in the room has dropped from 69 to a steady 50% .I have read that mould cannot grow if the humidity is less than 60%
So I am hopefull that it has solved the mould problem.it has certainly solved our condensation problems as the windows and sills are bone dry.we have only had the dehumidifier for a week so I think it will take some time to fully dry out the room carpet, bed,walls etc.
I would recommend ebac as it has a great history with dehumidifiers,heat pumps,and washing machines.And as another wee bonus,it is a British company

Having already purchased 2 over a period of 40 years plus it wasn’t an option but to replace my old one with another Ebac plus service was superb delivery spot on would highly recommend the company.

Love Ebac dehumidifiers have 3 very reliable and worth the premium price as lasts longer then the temptingly cheap Chinese rubbish I had which lasted 1 year! just got draining tube from ebac which is better then just buying a bit of pipe as has vent hole and connects perfectly

Very Good Service
Recently ordered more filters for my dehumidifier, the woman I spoke to when ordering was very helpful and friendly but I do find them quite expensive when there’s only 3 in a pack and then another £4.99 for delivery. But the dehumidifier is amazing and I can’t believe how much water it collects.

its working great the amount of water…
its working great the amount of water its pulling from my home is amazing.... this is my 3rd Ebac the last one stopped working about 6mths ago and its surprising how much condensation has gathered in that time.

This will be the fourth ebac dehumidifier that I have bought over a number of years for my old cottage and my children’s nursery business and they have all been excellent quality and all work excellently in combatting any damp and mould that may present itself.
I tend to leave them running throughout the year day and night and find them economical to run.
I thoroughly recommend this company.
