Doesn't follow their own return policy
Purchased a pair of sunglasses at their sante fe location. They had spent so much time in their display case the sticker cling had damaged the lens. When I tried to return I just got the run around about how they don't honor manufacturer warranties and they don't take sunglasses. Their return policy states they do honor manufacturer warranties and doesn't list sunglasses as a non returnable item. Poor custom service and old run down stock. Wouldn't go back especially knowing they aren't going to honor their own return policy.

Was looking at a Columbia jacket which had the original price tag from the manufacturer, $160. Dunham’s “discounted price” was $230. The employee said the price would be the $160. Why wouldn’t I just buy it directly from Columbia?

Took my purchase to the register and was told it was full price. I say to the cashier do you have any coupon coupons or specials in store this week the cashier replies… You’ll have to look for yourself. Terrible customer service. I put my potential purchases back and left the store.

They have sales coupons which don't list the exceptions. You take the item to the register and are told can't be used on that item, when it says 17% off any regular priced item. (Very embarrassing to be told you can't use the coupon.) Waste of my time going to the store. They should quit giving out useless coupons! This will be my store only as a last resort, if at all.

I ordered a hand gun via online. When I picked up the gun It had issues. Real bad rattles. It is a Hi-Point 9mm. I understood it wasn't very expensive but needed it to be safe. They gave me the same model and it had a slight rattle. When I got home to set it up it had major issues. They had a no return policy on hand guns. I just got home with it and found issues. The rack was all loose, The magazine wouldn't clip. I couldn't even chamber a round, The safety was non functioning. They told me they wouldn't exchange for the same model or Pay the difference on a different gun. The guy was so rude that took the gun when I returned. Not even fired. They have to send it to the manufacture for repairs. They said it would take a month to just to get the gun sent in. Horrible place BEWARE

The General helped us with lawn chairs and was fantastic. We got one with a torn bag so I took it back to get another one the cashier came back to help me and carried the chair back to the register. That was above his duties the chair was heavy. This is friendliest store I’ve ever shopped in. If I lived closer I would shop there for all my outdoor needs.

Terrible service, outrageous shipping, zero value
My nephew sent me a $50 gift card at Christmas, he still lives in Michigan and knows that we frequented the Fenton, MI store back when we lived there. Only a tiny percentage of items on their "website" can be purchased, they have a special list of the very few items you can get online and delivered. Pretty odd nowadays, the only way they could get further behind the times is to require dial-up to get on their "website".
So I picked through the few items "available to ship to your home" and found a few overpriced things I could possibly use. That is when the fun began! $49.95 phone charger with $71.20 UPS Ground shipping plus tax, cheap $69.00 scope with $58.90 UPS Ground shipping plus tax, $39.95 SOG knife (full retail was $36.95 on SOG website) with $38.00 UPS Ground shipping.
I asked my wife if we could buy another $50.00 gift card so we can have a total of $100 on tap to afford a $40 product. She said no.
I've emailed these thieves a few times over several weeks but they won't respond. Sad lack of customer service but anyone who has read any reviews of their business lately knows exactly why they are failing.

Hello, I recently purchased a Taurus handgun at the Canton Michigan store Ford Road. The first guy ignored me. Second guy didn’t know anything about guns. Third guy that sold me the gun got short with me because I didn’t understand the iPad. He wanted me to fill out. Jerk. I had to find out about the rebate at cabela’s. Cabela’s makes you feel welcome when you walk in the door. I’m 72 I don’t need the attitude. If you want to feel like a a valued customer, go to a different location because Dunham’s is a fantastic store with great stuff and prices. From now on I go to the Allen Park store. Stay well everybody Merry Christmas.

They say they have great sales but they have so many exceptions, you get nothing. Even the military discount! Menards gives 11% on virtually everything. Home Depot, military discount on virtually everything. Why can't Dunhams do this. They didn't have the size coat I wanted. Told me I could order online. Nope. Only in stores. So I ordered the same coat on Amazon for $39 less! We won't be back.

Do not buy from Dunhams!
My husband bought a new TenPoint bow for $900 from Dunhams (they suck as well). Less than 2 hours later when he tried to sight the bow in it BROKE!! Took t back to Dunhams who would not replace or refund. We had to send it for repairs and are still waiting. We will never shop at Dunhams OR purchase another TenPoint product! The home office will not even contact us!
