Dulux Decorator Centre Omdömen 

Realised after purchasing that this shop actually charge double the price for paint! Then you can’t get a refund as everything is non-refundable. I should have been more careful before I purchased but the decorator had a slot so I had to order quickly…future buyers beware!

I went to the Potters Bar store this morning, and the lady there was disinterested in helping me with my questions. Once I eventually got answers, she could not provide the paint due to a lack of base paint tins, which defeats the object of a paint store. I would certainly not recommend this company; likely best to stick with the larger DIY stores. Disappointing.

Really Angry. The branch in Eastleigh is a rip of merchant. We brought two tins of paint in to match to our walls after doing renovations. One was Dulux and one was Armstead both supplied by Dulux. We informed him at the time that the Armstead one we used and know it matches perfectly. He put in the code in for Dulux and informed us they are both the same and sold us a Ltr. of paint for £18 which was quite a lot but needed to get this sorted. When we applied to the paint it did not match we went back to the store the man wasn't there and a women told us they cannot refund this paint and that Armstead was not the same as Dulux even though we were told they were the same otherwise why would I have taken the Dulux. She then went on to say it is probably because the wall color has faded I told her well actually the wall is darker than the paint she kept on about the time of the paint on the wall. By then I had enough of the lies and went to B and Q with the Armstead paint and got a perfect match for £4.00 . Do not trust these people at Dulux they lie and I would suggest if you go in get a sample which they didn't offer us but don't buy unless you know for sure you have the correct code and even then this is questionable.

Went it there Crayford branch today and was served by the manageress.
This was early around 6.50am and she could not have been helpful and bubbly even at that hour!
Totally recommend this place and will be going back!
She knows her stuff and has a professional and lovely manner 5 STARS!!!!!!!!

They got me out of a bind.

I am extremely grateful to the guys at Dulux decorators centre as they got a paint delivery out to me that helped me out of a bind, as I was let down badly by Brewers who refused to deliver to me, after ringing Dulux not only were they able to do the delivery they got it out the same day.

Big thanks to them again, if you need Dulux paint I recommend going to them direct.

Dulux Trade Centre in Long Eaton, Nottinghamshire - FANTASTIC, Great customer experience every time, the staff are very knowlegable and very helpful, there is a great choice of every paint and product that you will need for your decorating project, I have recently been there for rollers and paint for my converted room, I had always used paint pads but after talking to the staff, I went with thier recommendations for the pile of a roller to be used on new plaster after misting and so glad I did, what a result, I will never go back to paint pads, Thank you so much to everyone at the Long Eaton branch

Good staff but poor stock levels of the paints on offer

I called my local DCC about a paint I was after and where I had bought the same brand from before and was told that they type of paint I wanted had been discontinued and no more is available. They didn't offer an alternative or any help. This is not what you want to hear when painting your house in it! Called another DCC in the town they were much nicer and the lady there said there were some tins available and ordered me one from another store. I appreciated her help. Next day, I drove 30 mins there in my lunch to pick it up only to be told the paint had been tinted the wrong colour by mistake and they would have to order in again. So she ordered again. I kept asking the price as I know its not cheap but she wouldn't give it to me. Finally the next day she said it was in and sent me the link to pay. I was gobsmacked to see the cost was GBP135! I started searching online and found the paint 25 cheaper however the delivery would be longer. As I had a painter waiting at home for the paint I decided to go with the DCC price as they promised next day delivery. The next day the paint hadn't arrived and I called DCC who said sorry their driver had called in sick so no delivery that day. In the end the paint wasn't delivered for 3 days in which time I could have ordered from the other store and saved myself some money. There was no communication from DCC about the delivery and I only found out about the delivery when I contacted them again myself. I had to let the painter go and am now left to do the job myself. I had thought the second DCC was good at first but in the end it turned out to be as useless as the first. They are very overpriced and unless you are a professional painter you don't get much help. I have stuck with Dulux Trade paint through two house paints thinking it is the best quality but after this I won't be wasting my time or money. Dulux Trade is extremely expensive and whilst nice, I don't think it is worth it for your own home. Also it is always hit and miss with them if they have stocks in or not. Their supplies are not reliable despite being a Dulux outlet nor is their information eg one store said paint discontinued and the other said no and got stock in.

The worst experience when you go to the shop and staff member is upselling you a paint, after you want to return you hear that its non returnable.
Nobody informed its not possible to return. She encouraged me to take customised mixed paint. The worst shop in addiscombe where even the manager on the phone couldnt help me, didnt even hear sorry.
I dont know what to do with this paint now.

Our decorator from Dulux, Matthew Tench, did a fantastic job decorating our kitchen, dining room and utility room. He was always on time, neat and tidy, friendly and very professional. He completed the painting and wallpapering perfectly and cleaned up to a high standard at the end of each day's work. Matthew is easily the best decorator we have ever employed and would fully recommend him and also ask him to return when we next need a fantastic job done.

I use the branch at Clifton Moor in York. The staff are unfailing polite and helpful and excellent ambassadors for the company.
There’s lots of competition from other decorating supplies companies on the same estate, but Dulux are head and shoulders above the rest.

Can’t recommend the team at the decorator centre in Battersea enough - Roy and co were so friendly and helpful. Really took their time to assist, show us what was what and even gave us a discount when they didn’t have something we wanted so we had to go for a more expensive option. Great experience, 10/10.

I've been to the Battersea store to buy paint a couple of times. The staff have always been really friendly and knowledgeable and provide service with a smile. Today it was Dan - he was really calm and efficient, despite having a queue of customers.

Top notch service form all the staff friendly and all know the products with thier eyes closed, so are able to help on any advice needed. Can't speak highly enough of the service. It's just goes to show even with a big corporate company it's all about getting the right people with the right attitude. Thank you so much Redditch you guys are just awesome.

This review applies to the Dulux decorator centre in Pontefract.
Having been recommended to use this shop by my building contractors, I have to admit at actually being shocked at the apathetic behaviour of the person who served me, who eventually managed to be rude and arrogant to top off the worst shopping experience I have had in years. I got the distinct impression this was also partly due to my wearing a face covering. I now wish I had not given this shop any business, but lesson learned never will again!
Dulux should carry out spot audits of these shops to ensure they employ appropriate ambassadors to sell their products.

First time I 've used Dulux Decorator Centre. Best price anywhere and next day delivery. What more do you need?!

We bought our masonry paint from the Battersea Park Rd Store this morning. Dan was great - so helpful with the colour mixing; and he helpfully carried the paint out to my car.

I visited the Battersea branch several times before finally deciding on the colour and type of paint required. Roy , Dan and Duval were so friendly helpful knowledgeable and most of all very patient with my Indecisiveness before the final purchase. The service was flawless.
