Dobbies Garden Centres - Swansea Omdömen 462

I ordered a click and collect plant, I thought it would be quick like b and q and some other stores however I think it is a scam now as I didn't receive an email to collect and its been 5 days with still no email and it took them a whole day to send me confirmation that I bought something from them. Disgusting order no SO033337456

UPDATE: Dobbies saw my review online and promptly sent me an email to come and pick up my item. The staff at Dobbies were most apologetic and very kind. The plant I received was good quality and so I am satisfied they addressed my concerns.

Would be a huge improvement if they could answer the phone

No salad bar as advertised. Only one person on front serving, doing tea coffee, servery and till all at the same time,20 mins to get served.

Amazing Customer Service from All staff

Purchased a Webb lawnmower from Dobbies Garden Centre Swansea. Unfortunately the lawnmower broke whilst still within the warranty period. I contacted Webb and they required photographs of the breakage to check against the warranty and evidence of receipt. These were sent, a collection day was arranged and I was informed to pack the lawnmower in boxes etc. on receipt of the lawnmower Webb refused to fix it even though it was still under warranty and they required me to pay £80 to have it returned.

I contacted Dobbies Swansea where I had originally purchased the lawnmower from. All the staff there were absolutely amazing, from the ground staff to the manager, who was exceptionally helpful. They assisted me with the lawnmower and went above and beyond with their customer service. I would highly recommend Dobbies Swansea to everyone and will definitely purchase from them again but will definitely not be purchasing any Webb products as their customer service is appalling.

Decided to stop for tea and cake at the Swansea Enterprise Park branch and wish we hadn’t! Accepted that they were busy and we had to queue but when we asked for trays and plates we were shown that they were by the till, not much use when the cakes were at the other end of the counter! We finally got to the till to order drinks and had to wait about 20 minutes for a pot of tea! There were two young members of staff making the drinks and if they had stopped chatting to each other they would have got people served much more quickly. The cake was ok but a bit dry and at £4.50 for a thin slice, it really wasn’t worth it.

Had a roast dinner here, for 14 quid it was awful, at first I thought they gave me the wrong order, as the roast was swimming in watery gravy, it was like a soup, veg was raw and the beef was so tough. I feel robbed. Literal hospital or prison food, on the tills catherine was running on low batteries, she couldnt be bothered and wanted to be elsewhere.

And over 2 quid for a can of pop, much better garden centre down south.

On a postive the horseradish was nice.

Very helpful and knowledgeable staff, especially Mark in the garden section (Swansea), who went out of his way to assist us.

Also had breakfast in the restaurant, which for 2 people was £15, was a good deal.

I bought garden furniture around 7 weeks ago it came 2 weeks ago the furniture had been used the leg bases were worn and the metal was scratched the wood had water marks in it also cushions dirty and bolts missing so I contacted Dobbies customer service the same day it arrived for them to take it back and refund me i now find that it will take another two weeks before it can be picked up and I can be refunded so this furniture has been sitting in my garden for a month blocking everything up I will never buy from them again

Service in the cafe very slow only one person behind the counter so if you pop in for a quick meal forget it

The cafe tries running on a shoe string. Very inexperienced staff currently and no sign of the older staff who knew what they were doing. Was always a chap clearing tables who was quick and pleasant but haven't seen him for a long time. If it wasn't for the 2 free drinks with the Dobbie card we wouldn't step inside there. I know this review won't make any difference as management are apathetic to implement change.

Great choice of products, ideal for buying for yourself or a gift. Stockists of regatta and clothing from Klass also. Good quality of plants, healthy and vibrant. Toilet facilities and a lovely cafe with a tasty menu. Large park park, easily accessible. Would highly recommend.

Had lunch here today.We ordered filled baguettes,to be told baguettes and panini were out of stock.Sandwiches we’re the only option.I ordered mature cheddar cheese and pickle.The cheese was cheap and processed,and the sandwich contained two slices.The bread was not buttered,and the pickle was scarecely spread onto one slice of bread.My wife ordered a coronation chicken sandwich which was ok.The tea and coffee were very weak.A complete waste of money.We would have complained to the staff,but we had an appointment to keep.The staff were very pleasant,but there were too few of them.

I visited yesterday with my daughter primarily to have a drink and cake (plus pick up any bargains in the plant sales section). There was only 1 person in the restaurant queue when we got there so decided let's have refreshments first. There were 2 people behind the counter serving and 3 others serving tables. It took 15 minutes to get to the till (server too chatty with customer in front as knew them) only to be told we needed to get our own cake (which we needed to cut!!). Got to a table with our order only to find both drinks were wrong. By this time there were c20 people in the queue so chose not to get them changed. So all in all very poor service from restaurant plus the chairs were so badly stained had to sit on our coats. Last visit for sure.

Staff helpful,informative and polite,wonderful selection of plants and all garden items, restaurant clean, staff polite, very good selection of cakes and sandwiches etc

As always I love my visits, staff on weekends are so helpful and friendly, the restaurant for a change was not busy, perhaps the meal could have been a bit larger

Myself and my Husband we haven’t been down Dobbies for some years. The last time we went there it was called Wye vale we really enjoyed looking around and the garden plants was tremendous I had to buy some.

Plant side of things is great. Plus outdoor furniture etc. Unfortunately the cafe let's this outlet down. They never have enough staff on and there is always a long queue. Sometimes we don't get an opportunity to have our free coffees with the membership card because it is so busy

Love coming to Dobbies good selection of flowers. Always get basket plants in may and make lovely baskets this may reduced plants £1-04. Good for baskets

Lovely store. I really enjoy visiting there to buy plants and like all the beautiful things to buy. This latest time I bought my self some Regatta sandals, scarfs and a rhubarb plant plant. My husband likes looking at the fish and we always have at ieast a coffee there. The Dobbies club card is such good value which must admit makes us spend more in the shop!
