Dobbies Garden Centres - Stirling Omdömen 340

We visited the cafe yesterday and what a disappointing experience.
After we ordered our food we were handed a receipt so we could pay at the till.
We queued for tea/coffee and had to listen to a barrage of shouting from the staff that we could make our own at another machine.
At the till, the woman working there was calling everyone “guys”. Ok guys, is that everything guys, cash or card guys, on and on.
At the cutlery station there were no forks.
So we proceeded to a table without our food to be met with more dirty tables than clean ones
I had to return to the counter to wait for our food along with several other people.
I was handed two plates and then asked did I want chips, well yes I paid for them and did I want salad, well yes I paid for that too.
The cheese and onion toastie was only toasted on one side, the filling was onion chutney, not real onion. The meagre amount of cheese was scattered over the top and melted. It was a slimy mess.
All the while listening to the woman at the till shouting guys, guys, guys.
Such a big disappointment compared to how it used to be.
We won’t be back.

My wife and I popped into the cafe today for coffee and cake. They ask £4.50 for a slice of cake yet half of the tables were dirty and hadn't been cleared (even though it wasn't busy), the carpet /laminate flooring is gaffer taped down so you don't fall over it! How about you invest some of the huge profits into the cafe environment?! Not good at all.

Trustpilot needs to have a zero star option. On Sunday 12th my wife and I stopped in for a simple quick lunch — soup and a cheese toastie — and were given a buzzer to collect our order when it was ready. Unfortunately, after waiting over 40 minutes, nothing had appeared, and we had to leave to meet friends. When we requested a refund, the manager offered only a half-hearted “sorry” at the till, which didn’t make up for the delay or lack of communication. Seriously how hard is it to make a couple of cheese toasties. The restaurant was not busy but what even more frustrating customers who arrived after us were getting their orders which included toasties and Panini's.

Just when you think it couldnt get worse, the toilets were in a terrible state, with black mould on the wall next to the hand dryer in the gents and water all over the floor in the ladies— not what you’d expect from a place like this. Overall, a very disappointing visit, and we won’t be rushing back anytime soon.

My husband has coeliac disease and we have eaten there in the past with no problems. He intended to have a baked potato but none left so we ask what alternatives there was on offer. A manager came over and listed alternatives. Great gluten free fish and chips. But then she asked if he was “just gluten free or coeliac” we explained he had coeliac disease she replied “we don’t serve coeliacs”!!!! Absolutely disgusting response and when we asked what we should do she shrugged so we left
Absolutely disgusting customer service. And how hard would it be to have a designated gluten free station with a separate board and knife. Or even just ask if we accepted the potential risk!
Extremely disappointed will not be back

My wife and i visited the Stirling branch on Thursday for something to eat for lunch. While selecting my choice at the hot food area the assistant was confirming what each item was as it wasn’t clear. I selected a Steak and ale pie with chips and carrots. My wife ordered a slice of cake. I started to delve into my meal only to discover the carrots were as hard as rocks and when I tipped out the contents of the pie i discovered it was chicken, not what i asked for. When returning this for a refund, i was given some excuse of the menu changing. When i returned to my table i noticed that the cake my wife ordered had a small nibble from it and she said she couldn’t eat it as it was too hard. She didn’t want me to complain as she would have been embarrassed by me complaining again. I have visited Dobbies garden centres for many years and i have noticed a decline in the quality of all of their products but this latest issue will be the last for me.

Went to have some thing to eat with my grown up granddaughter in the cafe about 1pm today, delays were ridiculous with hardly any staff serving, when we waited for the 2 iced gingerbread lattes the young man serving swore out loud so all customers nearby heard, that the cream had run out then took an age getting another one, no need for that language when serving the public and meantime our soup was getting cold, won't be back !! Many more pleasant places locally to eat with better staff.

Bought the Dobbies loyalty card as the benefits looked good, and so they turned out to be. BUT, when 3 of us went for breakfast in the Stirling restaurant (3.12.24), the time it took to get our food, get our drinks and then pay, both the food and the drinks were luke warm, to the point that my daughter didn't finish either. One person at each station is not enough, especially at the drinks station where the server was taking forever to make each one, especially the coffees. My wife has been through the restaurant a few times in the recent past and the same problem was apparent back then too. Next time, I'll try eating my food first and then go and pay.

Visited the Stirling ‘restaurant’ recently. Whilst the staff are lovely, the whole shop is so run down. £18.50 for 2 breakfast rolls and 2 coffees and the rolls were vile. Cold, cheap sausages, cheap rolls smothered in margarine. Yuck.

Popped in yesterday for some lunch. Shocked by the food and how much it’s went downhill since my last visit! Toastie was cold and could have made a better one myself. Salad leaves were brown. Tables were dirty and the restaurant was run down. £29. I won’t be back!

Love shopping and having tea in dobies . Staff are all very nice nothing is too much trouble when you ask for help . I actually renewed my dobies card when I was in .

We booked this event for our 22 month old granddaughter, as for an under 3's ..
The staff were very friendly, showed us to our seats and gave us our food and drinks...
The area was set in a corner and was separate from the restaurant...
Although our granddaughter was too young to make her bear, one was made for her...
There were activities, such as storytelling with all the children seated on a rug with cushions and throws...also a teddy bear hunt which the organisers led us through the restaurant and outside, searching for bears, which was enjoyed by everyone...then back inside for games... despite her young age our granddaughter was able to participate in all these games and the 2 organisers were encouraging to her and the other children...the games were fun and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves..
At the end the children received a seedlings box , which was a lovely touch..
We are looking forward to booking further events...
Thanks to the 2 organisers, I'm sorry that I didn't remember your names, but you were both very good, and had a lovely rapport with everyone....

Looking for a new lawnmower,the one we liked didn't show a price,assistant went to find out,the one on show was the last one left and he negotiated a discount with his boss for, and carried it up to the checkout for us.
Excellent service,and to finish it off we got our coffee and cake for free as l has received the Dobbies. Birthday card.

I recently left a jacket (complete with wallet!) in the restaurant in Dobbies Stirling branch. Many grateful thanks are due to the person who handed it in and to the efficient and friendly Dobbies staff who kept the jacket safe for me and then 're-opened the store after 6:00pm to retrieve it and return it to me.
The strawberry tarts were delicious too!

First time buying garden plants, didn’t have an clue what I needed, spoke to Colin and he was very helpful, very friendly and knowledgeable, I would recommend anyone to go and have a chat with the staff at dobbies if needing help with planting and gardening

Love the friendly feeling walking round Dobbies. It's so great to be able to take my dog with me. She always gets lots of attention from other shoppers and staff. She is lovely and quiet. Locrs the attention. My best pal and the best dog I have ever had. Thank you to all the staff at Dobbies Stirling. You never let me down.

Visited restaurant again today to see if it had improved from our visit a few months ago. I’m sorry to say it hadn’t. We sat down at 11.10 I asked counter staff for a sandwich and was told I couldn’t have one till 11.30 as they had to sell breakfasts first. So just ended up with coffees and nothing to eat. Staff not really interested in any feedback and we’re not very pleasant. The garden centre was well stocked and our dog got better service from the lady in the dog section. So not all bad but restaurant definitely needs a lot of improvement. Will not be visiting again.

I visited today for lunch with my son and daughter-in-law. The food was good but the lady who served me seemed very offhand and miserable.
The cashier, Karen, was a complete contrast making sure that we were aware of the over 60's deal and ensuring that we were happy with our choice.
She was a lovely lady and a credit to your company
