Dobbies Garden Centres - Dundee Omdömen 290

Visited Dobbies Monfieth today and while paying for my purchases the staff member (Carlo) discovered there was a problem with my Dobbies card. He contacted head office to find out the problem re the card and discovered post code was invalid. He got the post code corrected and requested a new card to be sent out to me. Top marks all round!

Good selection of plants and helpful staff

We purchased plants with the help of the gardener who is so knowledgeable and very helpful. We have spoken to him before when purchasing plants as he gives advice on how to care for the plants also if we’re not sure on pruning we can take a photo of plant and take it in and he will explain. What a service he provides.

Poor range of sad looking plants, beds and tables half empty, prices extortionate and few staff in plant area.
Most of the 'sale' clearance area we're dead but still highly priced.

This is what happens when corporate, profit at the expense of every thing else, companies, take over.
Prices were expensive when I managed for them in the 90's but the quality and service was far better.
Bring back the Barnes dynasty!

Visited Dobbies Dundee today.
Spoke to Kevin who was extremely helpful.
He knew exactly what stock he had and spent time with us telling us where to plant and how to look after what we bought.
He is a credit to your store.

Found what I wanted easily, swift pleasant service.

We had a lovely trip to Dobbies in Dundee today , Kevan in the plant section was really helpful , knowledgeable and so enthusiastic I’m surprised very one doesn’t take up gardening .

Visited Donnie’s monifieth this afternoon. Absolute disaster as at early afternoon very little to choose from as allegedly the order did not come in. Took over 15 minutes for 2 paninis. The only consulation was the food was good but nowhere near enough staff and just about everyone in the que was complaining

My Granddaughter & I visited this afternoon I found staff very knowledgeable and helpful. We also had a
lovely meal in the cafe.

We were happy with the stock and atmosphere

Went up to Dobbies Dundee for remembrance tree / plants . Very nice and very helpful man Kevin was working, he was so helpful and took time with us to explain grown , heights colours etc he didn’t rush which was nice he took lots of time , it ment so much as it’s our sons first year remembrance . Thank you so much Kevin you are a very kind man .

Visited the Dundee branch today for some bonsai food. Kevin was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about all plants, especially bonsai. Aso gave us lots of tips.

Only 1 person serving , my soup was luke warm by the time I was asked what drinks I would like , I asked the server if I could get it heated up , her reply was there is a microwave over there . I thought about things for a few moments then said forget it . I am certainly not going into a restaurant and heating up my own soup , I could have done that at home . Then a staff member came after me and butted in whilst I was in conversation with 2 ladies at the top of the stair and verbally attacked me , shocking and aggressive member of staff shouldn't be working there .

Took my mum for lunch in your Dundee store at Monifieth. Time was 2.30pm we joined the queue for hot food and the time we had to wait was ridiculous. 30 minutes was spent in the queue with only one person serving and taking orders, heading towards the payment section where there were two ladies working between making hot drinks and taking payments. There was a huge queue behind and in front of me.
There has to be a better system for making hot drinks and then leaving this station to work the tills. Our hot food was twice taken to the table whilst I stood in the queue waiting for drinks and to pay. When I went to ask for my food after the 30 minute wait it had been sitting on the hot plate for this time so was not the best. We were very disappointed with both the service and the food we received. Please get your restaurants better organised and some more staff who at least look like they are enjoying their role. I for one will not be back to eat in your restaurants.

Plants are strong and good quality. Dobbies card will pay for itself if you visit a few times and have the free coffee & tea.

I found the selection of products excellent.
Very impressed with the discounts on sale items.
Best of all, the staff were really friendly and couldn’t be more helpful.
