I rarely leave reviews, but this experience cost me $3,715 and zero real resolution.
I reached out regarding my chargeback rate after receiving an email from Shopify clearly showing they do count RDR in the chargeback ratio. This directly contradicts what I was told when purchasing the service.
The whole point of paying thousands for RDR alerts was to protect my chargeback rate. Instead:
Shopify still evaluated my account including RDR
I still faced risk and pressure on my payments account
The alerts I paid for ended up being effectively useless in practice
When I asked simple, direct questions, support kept going in circles:
No clear answer on whether Shopify used the RDR filter (they clearly didn’t)
No ownership taken for a paid service not delivering the expected outcome
Constantly redirected me back to Shopify instead of taking responsibility
Even after escalating, the final response was basically:
“RDR worked as intended, Shopify just changed things”
That doesn’t change the fact that I paid thousands for a service that did not protect my business the way it was promised.
Instead of a refund or proper resolution, I got:
Deflection
Generic explanations
And even reminders about unpaid invoices
At this point, I’m left with a financial loss and increased risk to my business.
If you’re considering this service, be very careful.
The reality does not match what is being sold.
