Fantastic service from Sian at the Cannock store!

We visited DFS today and were almost dreading entering the store due to the usual pressure selling of most furniture retailers. Our experience in store was completely the opposite, Sian was welcoming without feeling like she had pounced on us, which left us to view the sofas in store at our leisure. Once we had decided which sofa / colour to go with Sian was on hand to help with the ordering process which was quick and efficient.

Friendly, good advice. No pressure

Sofa arrived with a family of MICE inside. I would give 0 stars, if I could. After ordering a new sofa and it being delivered the following week (on one of their express deliveries), two days later we noticed signs of mice in our home! We have indoor camera footage of the mice climbing out of and over the sofas in the night. We went into store and then have faced nothing but lies and decite since. The area manager came to inspect the sofa, using a pair of our scissors to make small cuts in the base covering and using the torch on her phone to look inside. Obviously she couldn't see anything so a service manager was booked to come and look at it properly and take the whole base covering off. He turned up, didn't look inside once, just put fresh base covering over the old ripped stuff and the falsified his report to say he'd fully inspected it and no mice were found. After showing the store manager the camera footage of what he really did, we had apologies and a second service manager was booked. Well, surprise surprise, when he did his job and inspection properly, he found mouse droppings inside the base of the sofa. He also admitted that this was not the first time he had been sent to inspect for vermin in new sofas. However, even after this, DFS refuse to take responsibility. Although strangely they offered us a new replacement sofa, and, after much arguing, said they would refund us the £190 we spend on a pest controller to come help us get rid of the vermin they introduced into our home, but only if we agree they are not liable!!!!! They have refused any compensation for the complete distress they have caused. Disgusting service and a bunch of liars!!! AVOID AT ALL COSTS
To reply to the response, we have lived in our home for 10 years, with no sign of any mice. Two days after the sofa was delivered, we have mice. Pest control found no entry points and as the sofas were delivered in March, so we had no windows or doors open during that time, as it was freezing! Since the last mouse was caught we have had no further issues. This has not been resolved and we are taking this to the ombudsman. You take no responsibility for a manager falsifying a professional document and throughout the whole experience we have been made out to be liars and fobbed off at every opportunity. But then looking at some of the reviews and posts on social media, I shouldn't have expected anything more. Absolutely shocking customer service and quite happy to show anyone the videos and evidence we have that the mice did come from the sofa due to your infested warehouses. We aren't the first who have had this happen and won't be the last. I'd just encourage anyone to really think hard before taking a chance with ordering anything from DFS, especially if you do not want your beautiful home to feel dirty and unsafe due to the free added extras delivered in your sofas.

Visited cannock store twice (2 consecutive days ) was greeted both times by Sian, she was welcoming and pleasant, she reassured us that she was around if we needed assistance but gave us time to browse without bothering us , she was very helpful and knowledgeable with our queries once we had decided to purchase our sofas , a pleasant experience, Sian is credit to the company, well done Sian and thank you .

Visited store, no pressure from sales staff, ordered at my own pace on-line

Natalie was super friendly and informative without being pushy in any way with additionals. She explained everything thoroughly and in great time and was very patient and kind towards our 4 year old son too which is a lovely touch. Thank you Nat :)
