DFS Furniture - Blanchardstown Dublin Omdömen 

Our experience with DFS Ireland has been absolutely terrible, involving both the Cork Mahon Point and Dublin Blanchardstown branches.

We purchased a French Connection Design recliner sofa in May and were told we could expect delivery around mid-to-late July. July came and went with no sofa. After constant emails trying to find out what was happening, it was eventually delivered in mid-August, weeks later than we had originally been told.

Communication with DFS Ireland is incredibly frustrating. You cannot simply call the Irish branch you purchased from. Instead, you have to ring a UK number, which in our experience was extremely unhelpful because they were unable to properly deal with what was happening locally.

When the sofa finally arrived after all that waiting, we thought the ordeal was over. Unfortunately, it became even worse.

During delivery, the sofa was forced through our main door, causing damage to the sides of the doorway. Damage was also caused to the archway leading into our living room and to our walls. The sofa itself was also damaged.

Imagine waiting months for an expensive new sofa, repeatedly chasing the company for delivery, and then finally receiving it only to have both the sofa and your home damaged in the process.

At that point, we had completely lost confidence in DFS and no longer wanted the sofa.

We contacted customer service again and someone from the Cork branch was eventually sent to assess the situation. We made it clear that after everything that had happened, we wanted the sofa removed, our money refunded and the damage caused to our property addressed.

Since then, we have been battling simply to get this resolved.

We have contacted the Blanchardstown branch multiple times and initially felt that someone there was finally going to help us. Unfortunately, once again we have been left chasing updates and responses.

At this stage, we don’t want more phone calls, emails or promises. We simply want DFS to collect the sofa, process our refund and address the damage caused to our home during delivery. We want to move on and purchase a sofa from somewhere else.

The most frustrating part is the amount of effort we have had to put into resolving problems that we did not create. We paid for a new sofa and expected a straightforward purchase and professional delivery. Instead, we experienced a delayed order, poor communication, damage to our property, damage to the sofa itself and now an ongoing battle just to have the sofa removed and our money returned.

What should have been an exciting purchase for our home has turned into an incredibly stressful and disappointing experience.

Based on our experience, I would not recommend DFS Ireland. The after-sales service when something goes wrong has been extremely disappointing. Customers spending this amount of money should not have to constantly chase different branches and a UK customer service number to get a serious issue resolved.

DFS, please collect your sofa, process our refund and resolve the damage caused to our home so we can finally put this experience behind us.

We recently ordered a Roseley sofa with a right-hand chaise in Oatmeal Leather, and we were extremely pleased with the service provided by Thomas. He was very knowledgeable and supportive throughout the process, helping us navigate the various product options and making the experience smooth and enjoyable.
We have ordered the power recliner version; however, we also made a special request to see if a non-power, non-recliner sofa could be made available in the same Roseley model. Thomas informed us that this option is not currently available, but if DFS could accommodate this request as a special order, it would truly enhance the look of our room and complete our vision perfectly.
We would greatly appreciate any consideration given to this request. We are so excited about our purchase that we would happily create and share an Instagram reel featuring the sofa and tag the DFS page once it is installed in our home.
