Deutschakademie Omdömen 10

Um als Nicht-EU Bürger, der auch keinerlei sonderrechte geniesst in Deutschland ein Sprachvsium zu erhalten, benötigt man unteranderem einen Kurs für z. B. die dauer von 12 Monaten, der folgende Kriterien erfüllt:

A) Kein Online Kurs, sondern Präsenz

B) 1Intensivkurs mit 18 Unterrichtsstunden pro Woche, eine Unterrichtsstunde dauert 45 Minuten

DeutschAkademie bietet hier einen Visakurs an, der mit 597€ p.m. im oberen Preissegment angesiedelt ist. Dafür bekommt man von Montag bis Donnerstag jeweils drei Zeitstunden als Präsenz-Intensivunterricht und am Freitag einen einen sogenannten Plus-Kurs ebenfalls von jeweils drei Zeitstunden als Präsenz und am Samstag einen ähnlichen Plus-Kurs von 3 Zeitstunden, diesmal als Online-Kurs. man bezahlt somit 15 Präsenzstunden zu je 60 Minuten und drei Online Stunden zu je 60 Minuten, Wobei Online Stunden für die Visaerteilung eher Irrelevant sind. Bestätigt werden 18 Zeitstunden, was auf den ersten Blick gut ist. Man schafft auch das Visum. Zuviel ist ja immer OK, aber eben zu teuer. Gefordert sind 18 Stunden zu 45 Minuten, so auch die Bestätigungen der entsprechenden Ausländer-Behörden oder Botschaften. Abgesehen davon, dass das Angebot völlig überdimensioniert ist (statt der erforderlichen 18 muss man bei Deutsch Akademie 24 Unterrichtsstunden zu 45 Minuten buchen) hat man so auch kaum eine Möglichkeit, nebenbei Geld zu verdienen. Hier ist meist die Möglichkeit gegeben, 20h pro Woche nebenbei für den eigenen Unterhalt Geld zu verdienen. We soll dass bei dieser Unterrichtskonzeption leisten? Auch berät einen Deutsch akademie derart, dass eine entsprechende Arbeitserlaubnis bei einem Sprach-Visum eher ausgeschlossen ist, was nicht der Fall ist.

Fazit: Das Angebot von DeutschAkademie ist überdimensionieret (am Ende wird keiner das Online Angebot nutzen), entspricht nicht den Erfordernissen der Einreise- und Visumbestimmungen in Deutschland und die Beratung hat keine Ahnung bezgl. der Visavorraussetzungen, die ja von Fall zu Fall unterschiedlich sein können. Das ist ja Blödsinn. Es wird in Kategorien gedacht: EU / Non EU und EU_assoziierte (z. b. Norwegen, Island, UK, Schweiz, Ukraine, etc.) ggf. mit Besonderen Verträgen (Israel; etc.) Das wars.

The price is affordable but that is also reflected in the quality of the course and the administrative staff.

They have sneaky fees that when asked where it is stated on their webpage, they avoid the answer. You also have to send your email multiple times because they typically answer half of the questions.

Also they allow the instructors to select the books and the books are terrible. Like if you try to work outside of the class lessons, you are lost. The structure of the class was suuuuper slow. I got to where I brought other work to do at the same time because it was at such a snails pace. I have taken other language courses where there was MUCH more interaction among students, even online.

When I asked about a refund, they made it clear that you have to request in the first week of the course. I found that a bit tough because I think most people are hopeful it will get better. Soooo it feels like they tell you it's money back guaranteed but create a system where it's difficult for the consumer to comply. Furthermore, they provide you "options" so that "you are satisfied" but the option to transfer to another course isn't realistic because every instructor uses a different book. Or they offer to let you join a different class in the following month but you have to pay a fee to do that. I didn't want to chance paying more money to have a repeat experience. Furthermore, the month offered isn't compatible with other life stuff, but I was not offered to select a month that is more suitable, hence providing options that aren't doable to say that you provided options of "good will" (they bolded "good will" multiple times in their email).

So I guess it depends on what you want, something cheap and you may learn something, or higher quality, probably more expensive but will most likely learn more than a few things.

Ich habe an einem Intensivkurs teilgenommen und meine Bewertung und Kommentare auf dem Bewertungsformular abgegeben, das mir während des Kurses zugesandt wurde, aber ich habe keinen Anruf von ihnen erhalten, um mein negatives Feedback zu besprechen.
Nach Abschluss des Kurses habe ich eine E-Mail mit den Gründen für meine Unzufriedenheit geschickt und um eine Rückerstattung gebeten.
In einer E-Mail, die ich erhielt, wurden mir eine Reihe unlogischer Voraussetzungen genannt, um die versprochene Rückerstattung zu erhalten.
Kurz gesagt, die „Money-Back-Garantie” des Kurses ist nur eine Marketingstrategie. Sie hat nichts mit der Realität zu tun.

Ich habe mich als Lehrkraft beworben und wurde zu einem unverbindlichen Kennenlerngespräch eingeladen. Das erste Mal konnte ich leider Gottes aus Termingründen nicht teilnehmen, das zweite Mal war ich leider krank, dafür kann ich ja nichts. Ich habe mich mit einer äußerst höflichen Nachricht entschuldigt (was 2026 andere gar nicht mehr machen) und einen Ersatztermin angeboten, der nicht weit in der Zukunft liegt. Da es sich nicht um eine offene Position, sondern eine Initiativbewerbung handelte, bin ich wirklich entsetzt, dass die Firma nicht ein bisschen Menschlichkeit und Flexibilität besitzt, sondern mal wieder nur irgendwelchen typisch Deutsch begrenzten Regeln folgt. Natürlich habe ich eine arrogante und überhebliche Antwort erhalten bzw eine Absage auf meine gesamte Bewerbung, man hätte ja auch netter antworten können, dass es derzeit nicht mehr möglich ist, aber vielleicht zu einem späteren Moment. Ich habe mit der deutschen Art wirklich nur mehr wenig am Hut.

Mein Partner, lernt Online aus einem Drittland und der Lehrer erklärt nicht, er ignoriert, lehrt keine Grundlagen und springt willkürlich im Buch hin und her. Ich habe mir das Ein oder Andere mal angesehen und er ist chaotisch, der benutzt so viele Grammatik formen für A1.1 viel zu schwer in nicht zielführend. So kann man keine Zertifikatprüfung angehen. In meinen Augen ist das Betrug.

I have done many courses with Deutschakademie. I had only once that I felt the teacher was not great. They are very good. At the same time, the administration is very bad. I have asked many many times to let us (the students) know upfront which books will be used, so people have time to order it. I get the same lame excuse every time, the books depend on which teacher you get. Although that is how they work, i.e. the statement itself is correct, I cannot believe that Deutschakademie does not know which teacher (hence which book) will give the course 3 days prior to the course starting. They ask for evaluations, but do not seem to be the slightest interested to execute based on feedback. Second thing I do not like is that they reward the teachers, when the students in a class give a 5 star review on Google. It feels borderline unethical. Bottomline: great teachers, not so great institute

no flexibility, cannot cancle even if you dont like tutor. no refund, worst teaching style, not using good books.

Der gebuchte intensive B1.1-Kurs hat zum angegebenen Zeitpunkt nicht begonnen, und wir haben keinerlei Information darüber erhalten.
DannB1.2-Kurs fortzufahren, aber erneut traten Probleme auf: Die Lehrerin wurde krank, und es wurde keine Ersatzlehrkraft organisiert. Wieder einmal erhielten wir keinerlei Mitteilung darüber.

Ich habe um Rückerstattung des verbleibenden Kursbetrags gebeten – bis heute ohne Erfolg. Statt eine Lösung zu finden, wird die Angelegenheit einfach hinausgezögert.

Die Kommunikation ist insgesamt sehr schlecht, und die beworbene „Geld-zurück-Garantie“ ist irreführend. Man bezahlt, aber die versprochenen Leistungen werden nicht eingehalten.
Sehr enttäuschend und nicht zu empfehlen.

I tried to enroll to a 8 weeks semi-intensive course that was supposed to start on April 7th, after three lessons the course was cancelled. Then I enrolled to another 8 weeks semi-intensive course that was supposed to start on may 12th, then I received an email about a delay (start on may 19th), and after a couple of days I received another email saying that this course was cancelled too. I asked for a refund, and they said that in one week I will receive my money back. Two weeks have passed and still I got nothing. I just want my money back, and this course was not cheap.

I booked an online A1.1 German course with DeutschAkademie, and after a month of classes, I can honestly say I’m extremely satisfied with the experience.

First of all, my teacher Sophie is fantastic. She’s incredibly professional—always on time and never ends a class early. Our lessons are supposed to end at 21:15, and she never finishes before that time, not even by a few minutes. She’s also super patient, explains things clearly, and is always available via her personal email if you have any questions. I don’t know about the other teachers, but based on my experience with Sophie, I would absolutely recommend her.

The company itself is also very professional. Before you sign up for a course, they give you a placement test to make sure you're at the right level. I originally thought I was ready for A1.2, but the test helped me realize that A1.1 was a better fit. That saved me from wasting money and ensured the class had a consistent level, which really improves the learning experience.

Classes are kept small (8 to 12 people), which I think is ideal—it gives everyone a chance to participate and ask questions.

Another big plus is that they offer free tutoring every day from 3 to 5 PM. I haven’t used it myself yet, but the fact that they offer that kind of support for free is impressive and super valuable for anyone who needs extra help.

Lastly, I visited their office in Alexanderplatz to pick up my course book. I wasn’t sure which one I needed, but the staff were very kind and helpful. One of them sat down with me, looked up my booking, and made sure I got exactly what I needed. The whole experience was smooth and professional.

All in all, I highly recommend DeutschAkademie—especially if you're starting from scratch. I’ll definitely continue with them for my A1.2 course.
