Hanne is an excellent teacher who makes you feel comfortable in class while not feeling comfortable in speaking Danish at all :) Skilled teacher who follows your needs and perfect help to learn this complicated language. I really enjoyed taking my lessons, thanks to Hanne!

Jeg har studeret dansk med Hanna fra helt begynderniveau i tre måneder, og hun har været fantastisk. Hun er meget tålmodig, venlig og yderst professionel.
Hun gav mange gode tips, gjorde undervisningen interessant og delte også meget om, hvad man kan opleve i Danmark, hvordan den danske kultur fungerer, og hvordan danskere tænker – hvilket er utroligt værdifuldt for integration.

Hanne provided excellent, comprehensive one on one Danish lessons to expand my "decent" Danish into something much more broad. Her approach and structure for teaching is professionally focused, very effective and customizable to anyone's level and individual language goals.

Hanne was wonderful to work with. She’s kind and patient and meets you exactly where your language needs are. When she corrects you (which I needed often), she does it gently and with explanation so you can remember for next time. I highly recommend her!

Ich kann Copenhagen Danish Courses uneingeschränkt empfehlen. Hatte einen intensiven Individualkurs dort für eine Woche (2 Stunden pro Tag). Dank Hannes Expertise, Geduld und Enthusiasmus habe ich große Fortschritte gemacht. Insbesondere die Ausspracheübungen, u.a. mit den von Hanne erstellten Hörbeispielen, waren sehr wertvoll.
Die Schule ist leicht zu erreichen gewesen (ganz in der Nähe ist auch eine Metrostation). Auch die Kontaktaufnahme war leicht, schnell und freundlich.

Excellent teacher/trainer. I read some reviews that gave me the desire to give her a try. The reviews were right, and I can confirm them. You will definitely make progress with her — I thought I was a lost cause, but her method is great. Invest in yourself, take the leap — choosing Hanne will be the best decision you make.

I first took Danish courses with Hanne online about 2 years ago, then this past summer I got to take courses with her in person in Copenhagen. Both sessions were super helpful, but of course being in person you can get a lot more out of it. I definitely recommend Copenhagen Danish Courses (specifically Hanne), if you are going to try to learn Danish. I've taken classes for 5 languages in my lifetime and Hanne is by far the best teacher of any of those 5. I think with her teaching methods and a true willingness to actually practice and speak Danish to locals, you can go quite a long way in a pretty short time. By the end of the three months I had in Denmark this summer, I was able to hold relatively long conversations with Hanne and other friends only in Danish. Thank you Hanne!

I took 1-on-1 lessons with Hanne and I highly recommend learning Danish with her.

She creates a very warm and supportive learning environment where I always felt comfortable and motivated. Her teaching style is both engaging and effective, and she uses excellent materials that make Danish grammar easier to understand. She also shares practical tips that really help with remembering and applying what you’ve learned.

We focused on my specific needs, especially improving pronunciation, and Hanne was always flexible in adjusting the lessons accordingly. Whenever something was difficult to grasp, she found new and clearer ways to explain it until it clicked.

Jeg er virkelig taknemmelig til Hanne. Hun er absolut den bedste, dygtigste og venlige dansklærer. Jeg har været meget glad og tilfreds med lektionerne. Hendes undervisningsmetode gør det utroligt nemt for mig at forstå dansk. Samtalerne forløb altid naturligt, og tiden fløj af sted. Hun har hjulpet mig med at blive mere selvsikker i at tale dansk om alle mulige emner.

Nachdem ich angefangen hatte dänisch zu lernen, bemerkte ich bald, dass ich mit dem Eigenstudium nicht wirklich weiter kam und beschloss recht kurzfristig bei meinem nächsten Urlaub in Kopenhagen Einzelunterricht bei Hanne zu nehmen. Bereits der Kontakt per Mail war sehr nett und unkompliziert und wurde vom persönlichen Kontakt noch übertroffen. Hanne ist eine wundervolle, herzliche Person und eine ausgezeichnete Lehrerin. Sie schafft eine Atmosphäre in der das Lernen einfach nur Spaß und Freude macht, ist sehr motivierend und lässt Hemmungen beim Sprechen gar nicht erst aufkommen. Die Stunden waren mit einer Mischung aus Grammatik und freiem Sprechen immer im nu vorbei und durch ihr tolle Lernkonzept spürte man rasch Fortschritte.

I experienced effective, friendly and fun Danish lessons with Hanne. She is kind and motivating, and importantly, a strong and experienced teacher. As beginner in Danish I picked up quickly and my Danish colleagues have been surprised about the quality of my pronunciation!

Nachdem ich spontan entschlossen hatte eine neue Sprache lernen zu wollen und dafür eine Sprachreise zu machen, fiel meine Entscheidung recht schnell auf Dänisch. Das finden der passenden Sprachschule fiel mir dann bei weitem nicht so leicht und ich bin sehr froh, bei Copenhagen Danish Courses und Hanne gelandet zu sein. Es hat wirklich alles gepasst und meine Erwartungen wurden übertroffen. Es war eine ganz tolle Sprachlernerfahrung, ich habe mich bei Hanne sehr wohlgefühlt. Auch ist die Sprachschule gut erreichbar und zentral gelegen.
Ich bin bei Null gestartet und wir sind in 12 Tagen Einzelunterricht, mit Spaß und schöner Stimmung, komplett durch A1 und weiterführende Teile gekommen. Hanne lehrt mit viel Kompetenz, Erfahrung, Einfühlungsvermögen und einem tollen Lernsystem. Ich kann den Unterricht bei Hanne von ganzem Herzen empfehlen und freue mich schon auf meine zukünftigen Besuche bei ihr.

Hanne Walbum was God gift sent to me in form of a Danish teacher. Hanne was professiona, yet very easy going in her approach to teaching the language. Time flies by when you are one of Hanne's lessons.
You come out with then sense of achievement and that the danish language is possbile after all. You do get the sense of being able to break the barrier to the danish language.
I also had the pleasure of attending 1:1 lessons with Hanne; where Hanne taught me the ground principals og the danish language. Something many other teachers failed to do.

Things get even better with Hanne's pronunciation lessons. I never thought that I would be able to pronounce the vowels and hear the difference between the difference in my pronunciation. I would highly recommend Hanne to anyone looking to learn or improve their danish.

Det var en fornøjelse at lære dansk med Hanne. Efter kun tre måneders intensivt kursus med hende kan jeg tale godt dansk. Hanne er meget professionel og opmærksom hele tiden, og det var ikke kun dansk, jeg har lært fra hende – hun introducerede mig også til dansk kultur, mentalitet og historie.

Wer eine geduldige, erfahrene und kompetente Dänisch-Lehrerin sucht, ist bei Hanne genau richtig! Sie kann die Grammatik und Aussprache gut erklären, die Unterrichtsmaterialien sind sehr hilfreich und die Atmosphäre in den Räumlichkeiten ist sehr freundlich.
In drei Monaten Intensivkurs habe ich mich jedes Mal auf den Unterricht gefreut. Danke Hanne!

Having private one-on-one lessons with Hanne was the best decision I took in my journey to learn Danish!

The classes were always structured around my needs, instead of following a rigid predefined path. That meant topics I needed more work on were repeated, while other subjects were skipped if they were no longer relevant.

We spoke Danish to each other almost from the first class, even though I was just starting. There was also a focus on how Danes pronounce words, which tremendously improved my ability to listen and understand Danish. It was exactly what I needed, and I am still amazed at how quickly I started to speak and understand Danish! All of this was only possible due to Hanne's exceptional teaching expertise.

Besides Hanne's teaching abilities, I also want to highlight her warm-heartness. Learning became a lot easier due to the welcoming and encouraging environment she created. The classes never felt like a chore, and I always looked forward to them. I believe that was key to my fast progress.

I only have positive things to say, so I can strongly recommend Hanne!

Ich habe in den vergangenen Jahren mehrere Kurse bei Hanne besucht. A1, A2 und Konversationskurse. Und was soll ich sagen: Mein Dänisch wurde immer besser. Und das hat mehrere Gründe. Zum Einen hat Hanne ein eigenes, kluges System entwickelt, um Dänisch verständlich zu vermitteln, zum Anderen ist sie eine wunderbare Lehrerin, die sich auf jedes sprachliche Niveau einstellen kann und so niemanden unter- oder überfordert. Außerdem weiß sie ihre Stunden gut zu mixen: Grammatik, Konversation - und viel Lachen. Jeg glæder mig allerede til mit næste besøg I København!

I've never learned a language as fast as I've learned Danish with Hanne. She is incredibly kind and patient and looks at the individual needs of the students. She's very professional and is always open to questions, so you never feel hesitant to ask away. There's also a lot of room to make mistakes, and the philosophy of just starting to speak the language even though you might not be a pro yet, is scary, but builds your confidence and is very much the best way to learn any new language. The classes are always a very comfortable, supportive environment which makes the learning more fun!

I participated in a one-on-one Danish language course with Hanne as an absolute beginner. Hanne was incredibly competent, friendly, very empathetic, and motivating. She adapted very well to my individual needs, which made the course highly successful for my further education. During the lessons, Hanne always supported me, motivated me, and provided many helpful tips, especially regarding pronunciation.

The included course materials were very well-structured and built upon each other in a logical way. For each learning material, there were also audio files that could be replayed over and over again, which helped me improve both my pronunciation and listening comprehension. Additionally, the materials included excellent exercises to help understand and practice Danish grammar.

I thoroughly enjoyed the lessons with Hanne and made significant progress in the Danish language in a short amount of time (5 sessions of 90 minutes each) thanks to her.

Hanne is an amazing teacher and such a warm and understanding person. I'm so glad I was her student and I'm sure I will be again. I took a 10-week pronunciation course with her, and we didn't just work on my pronunciation; we also fixed my sentence construction mistakes. Her lessons are well-organized and really useful – not a minute wasted. Hanne's got a ton of teaching experience. She quickly spots speech errors and knows exactly how to fix them. I think she even made up some of the exercises we did. Learning with her was not only easy but fun too.

Hanne's support meant a lot to me, too. She's from Denmark but lived abroad for years, so she gets how hard it is to be away from home and start fresh in a new place. Her empathy and professionalism as a teacher really stand out. People have noticed my Danish getting better, and I keep getting compliments like "your Danish is good". I'd recommend Hanne's courses in a heartbeat, 1000%!

Ханна великолепный учитель и теплый, замечательный, понимающий человек. Я невероятно рада тому, что была (и ещё, я уверена, буду ни раз) её учеником. Я прошла курс по произношению из 10 занятий за 10 недель. Помимо моего произношения мы так же исправили мои ошибки в построении предложений. Её занятия структурированы и наполнены, мы не теряли ни минуты зря. Сразу видно, что у Ханны большой опыт в обучении. Она слышит какие ошибки есть в речи, и знает, как их исправить, у неё есть упражнения для всех типов речевых ошибок и ошибок в произношении. Я так понимаю, что она сама их разработала. Учиться было легко и приятно. Так же для меня оказалось невероятно важна моральная поддержка Ханны. Ханна датчанка, но сама прожила в другой стране долгое время и понимает, как это сложно быть в далеке от дома и строить свою новую жизнь в новой стране. И вот это понимание и поддержка в совокупности с невероятным профессионализмом как педагога делают своё дело. Все вокруг замечают изменения в моём датском в лучшую сторону, и я слышу комплименты всё время «у тебя хороший датский». Я могу порекомендовать курсы от Ханны на все 1000%!
