Excellent night of the ROCK🤘 debauchery from THE HOLLYWOOD VAMPIRES🧛⚰️🤘

I couldn't attend Chic gig due to Strobe lighting, I wish they'd ban it. Sorry Chic. Was gutted. Would have loved to see you live I paid £64 for a ticket, got one right in the centre block but couldn't go cos of strobes. You have to start adding the info to the gig listings at the start so we know and not have to wait until the gig night.

Thought with upgraded vip tickets the view of the stage would be better. The lounge was very good, did not get a free meal as promised in the initial write up. Just a free drink, but the welcome and ease of admittance very good. Would I pay for this again, no, not really worth the additional paid.

Tonight show with Nile Rodgers and chic was phenomenal. The staff were great well organised the place rocks best concert I’ve seen in awhile and I’ve seen a few. The only thing I would say negatively is the lighting is not very good when you are leaving the theatre if you are in a Wheelchair.

My 25th Piece Hall concert & right up there as a favourite! Hollywood Vampires put on a show & how 👍

Excellent gig at the Piece hall, well organised and set up with helpful staff.. Hollywood Vampires were excellent and excellent support from The Dammed..would highly recommend this venue…

We saw the Hollywood vampires at castle park Colchester. A great show as allways with the Vampires , the Damned put on a great show aswel .

I purchased early bird tickets through must have tickets in January but I didn't get my blue badge, Access and National Disability Cards until February.
I tried contacting all the relevant parties to enquire about getting access to the accessibility platform and this is not the first time I have experienced this issue with a C & T Event.
C & T NEVER reply to any enquiries!
Must have tickets said to speak to Ticketmaster and Ticketmaster said to speak to Must Have Tickets. Eventually Must Have Tickets advised they had no allocation for the accessibility platform.
Meanwhile Ticketmasters 1st response was they have all sold out which I replied was a lie as they were still available on their own website. As it takes Ticketmaster at varying numbers of hours to reply the next reply said we will try and help you, again at this point there were still accessible and carer tickets available on their website but the second customer service person asked me to explain the situation again and by tne time she got back to me the tickets had indeed sold out!
I did manage to get an accessible parking ticket which took us 3 attempts to find due to poor directions on Ticketmaster.
The walk to the accessibility entrance was uphill and to far away realistically and it was okay in the early evening but walking back it was pitch black and no lighting.
I didn't get access to the platform but on reading other comments I probably had a better view from general admission.
I am not sure who thought up the layout of the stage and platforms but the stage would have been much better situated at the back where the VIP platform was as the accessibility platform and parking would have been on much flatter and easier to navigate ground.
C & T really need to up their customer services and actually acknowledge their customers.

The Damned were great, as always. Sensible” Hello we are the Damned. We’re all so known as The Support.” Of which at the time was a bit loud, as of course the Damned have been a great live band for decades and being support to a pretty much just thrown together band was a bit limp I thought. Then I soon changed my mind.
The Hollywood vampires were absolutely fantastic. Really loud, heavy rock, with a brilliant stage set up. A covers band mostly paying respect to all there musician friends that are dead.
John Entwhistle, Keith Moon, Jim Morrison, Lou Reed, David Bowie, Jeff Beck, Malcolm Young and more, plus a couple of Alice Cooper legendary songs ‘schools out’ mixed with Pink Floyd’s ‘Another brick in the wall’ was immense.
If you like your rock loud, with great guitars and drums with a legendary singer who is 78 that still gives it out like a 30 year old, then honestly go see the Hollywood vampires, it’s well worth every penny of the entrance fee 💀🧛🏻‍♂️🎸🔥

Parking .. Disabled Parking was situated on the other side of the venue to the Disabled Raised Platform .. it was a long & uphill walk that took ages ..

Disabled Platform ..
This was pretty much a first come first served .. would've been helpful to be told this prior to the event .. the plastic seats became uncomfortable and the view was very restricted

I got the feeling the Disabled Platform was a last minute plan and I doubt very much there was any involvement with anyone Disabled in the planning and location of the Platform

If I thought this would do any good I would complain but I feel the best thing is to just not use and advise other Disabled visitors to not bother attending this venue

Friendly, quick and easy entry. Great site and well located in Colchester. Good choice of food outlets. Brilliant acts - Katie Owen DJ, Marti Pellow and headliner Billy Ocean. Excellent overall experience.

Went to Billy Ocean concert at Castle park Colchester on Thursday.
Billy Ocean and Marti Pellow were excellent. As was the staging /lighting.
One entry point into park. Security tight which is positive.
Leaving the park we were diverted through residential area making it difficult to navigate an area that is unknown.
No seating areas and not allowed camping chairs. Rugs were allowed which were a hazard. We saw several people falling just around us where they had tripped on rugs bags etc.
perhaps an area designated for folding chairs ? Not everyone can sit on the ground.
I wouldn’t attend this venue again .

We had a brilliant time watching Nile Roger’s at Dreamland in Margate. The venue was great and the sound quality excellent. He and his band were second to none and the atmosphere was amazing.

Excellent band and support, venue overcrowded and usual expensive drinks and food.

We made a formal complaint about our experience at the VIP entrance for the Teddy Swims concert back in june .I suffer from anxiety, and I chose VIP partly to avoid long queues and any issues entering the venue.
On arrival, the steward immediately said, "These aren't the right tickets. I can't scan them. Are they copied? Are they just a photo? Where did you get them?" He didnt even attempt to scan them. Hearing this made me panic and genuinely believe we were going to be refused entry.
We were then made to wait while another member of staff came over ,when she couldn't find any information, we were sent to the ticket office and had to queue again. The member of staff there scanned our tickets immediately and confirmed they were completely valid.
We returned to the VIP entrance, where the original steward admitted he had never even tried scanning our tickets because they looked different. He said, "I didn't even bother scanning them because it looked different... you two were my guinea pigs. Now I know for future."
I told him how much anxiety he had caused me and that he had ruined the start of our evening.
I understand staff may come across different ticket formats, but customers should never be questioned about whether their tickets are copied or fake before staff have even attempted to scan them. It was completely avoidable and caused unnecessary distress.
I made a formal complaint but didnt really get much back , very disappointed at their response , Teddy was great , shame the entrance member of staff made it a negative experience

Camping chairs should have been permitted as no seating available at all, as a regular concert and festival goer, I found it incredible that no seating was available and waa unable to bring chairs, many people had umbrellas confiscated but saw plenty of people with them inside. After emailing Cuffe and Taylor and being promised accessible seating, with an email to prove this was unable to access the area due to miscommunication in the company. security was useless apart from the female supervisor who helped attend my terminally ill family member and get her to first aid. Shame on you Cuffe and Taylor you are not meeting access requirements.

Saw Billy Ocean and Marti Pellow, who was the support act. Both very good and still have amazing voices. Marti Pellow deserves to be the main act alone.
Only irritation, were people smoking immediately in front of us, I know it’s an open air venue, but feel there should be a designated smoking/vaping area.

Had a great evening watching Marti Pellow and Billy ocean smash it out the Park what a treat ,amazing vocals still,true professionals, great atmosphere ,thoroughly enjoyed it .Thankyou

I saw the Sex Pistols with Frank Carter at Scarborough Open Air theatre. It was a great night, didn’t have to queue too long to get in the venue.
Support bands the Undertones and Stranglers were excellent, Frank is a great frontman.
Great atmosphere.

We had a great time watching Holly johnson, heaven17 and ABC. The groups were fantastic, the venue was great and staff very friendly.
