We are writing with our sincere thanks to all at Coppards, Bromley for 100% satisfaction on our recent removals experience. From initial estimation visit, the process of our sale and purchase took over a year but you were understanding, helpful and flexible; taking provisional bookings, postponements and reschedulings all in your stride and from our perspective left us feeling we were in safe hands when exchange and completion finally happened in 2 days with virtually no notice. Thanks to Dickie for initial visit and excellent detailed quotes ; to Steve for infinite patience and good humour and to our 2 day team for being so professional and personable, for their fantastic sheer hard work, amazing packing skills, and for taking the stress away. Everything arrived safe and sound at our destination. Thanks a million, you couldn’t have provided a more seamless and efficient move. 😊

Coppards team helped my daughter move home , they were great, everything moved, transported , unloaded brilliantly.. all on time .. took the stress out of the day...!! So thank you that team.

The assessor will promise anything you ask to get your business. The coordinator in the office however will not honour the assessors verbal agreement, when you question this he will scream own the phone shouting at you citing business difficulties with the agreed plan and the assessor is wrong. Eventually he came up with a suggestion which meant a three day job, what I didn't want, and at a higher cost. Very rude and quite intimidating toward a disabled, older, single woman.
The packers were hard working and mostly pleasant, if you don't mind a tantrum, the threat of pulling off the job the day before completion and plenty of fruity banter between themselves. Boxes went missing between pack up and delivery two days later, precious family history, photos along with practical stuff and their response? Nothing we can do - can't help with this. No count of boxes at either end that I saw.
If your tempted by the sales tactics and the price don't be, think twice. I am advised legally I can make a claim, but that won't return the irreplaceable. I want nothing more to do with the aggressive, rude and quite intimidating team at H.O
Unless your moving old junk that has no value or meaning to you - avoid. Look past recent reviews and you will see I'm not the first to experience the unprofessional process, method and behaviour.

Amazing service, very swift, friendly, helpful and lovely people to work with. If we ever move again, we would definitely use Coppards again.

What a great service we received from Coppards, firstly they sent someone who packed everything in our house up and a couple of days later moved us into our new home! We are in our seventies and found the whole experience emotional after over 40 years in the same house where our children were born and grew up, but Paul,Steve and their team were so kind and caring to us we found it went very smoothly nothing was a problem for them👍

I had a fantastic experience with Coppards. They arrived exactly when they said they would, and the moving crew was incredibly helpful, personable, and professional. The entire move was absolutely seamless from beginning. Highly recommend their services.

Great removals, took the stress away on the day of moving.

We booked Coppards for our house removal, completing end August '24, mainly due to the fact they moved us before and we felt we could trust them. We paid a deposit in mid-July, agreeing to use Coppard for their services based on the quote they gave us.

Due to issues further down the chain, exchange was delayed until 10 days before completion. Coppards, with no notice, emailed us 12 days prior to the move, telling us our slot was gone despite paying a deposit - not even the courtesy of a phone call. The operations manager we spoke to when we called was shouting and argumentative, saying amongst other things it is 'not our problem'.

Given the late notice, we ended up having to move ourselves from a 4 bedroom house (wife and young family). At least we saved some money but it was an awful lot of work and extra stress that we didn't need.

Awful service and only interested in themselves, avoid at all costs.

The admin staff I spoke to just now denied that our van had been booked despite it having been confirmed by a managing director previously. He quickly escalated a normal conversation into a shouting match, deliberately misunderstanding and not allowing us to explain our situation. Removal people for the first leg of our move were also grumpy and argumentative with each other, as well as rude to us. This is a toxic organisation, avoid at all costs.

I am giving 1 star out of 5 not because the actual physical moving team were bad, they did a good job but the administrative team and office team once they processed you and got the payment, that is it.

The admin team member that communicated with us on the day of move and completion was extremely rude and unprofessional, even though the guidance they gave us on quotation was that if we were late for extend an amount of time for whatever reason they would charge overtime but will wait and finish the job.

Now due to a late completion across the chain linked properties and a solicitor going awol for a couple hours that caused/made the situation worse, which was out of our control, we didn't complete until around 3pm and got the keys about an hour later. When coppards office called and we were discussing the situation with the estate agent and their office over the phone, the admin staff was rude, not polite, threatening tell his team to unload our belongings on to the road and pavement or they would take it to storage they provided somewhere which was never an option they explained prior, the person dealing with us was just so impolite and actual hung up on us, inconsiderate given the situation at hand and I had to call back a couple of time to get through to that person again.

All in all it was very stressful on the day, for a service that cost us close to £1000 for a days move, it is shocking how the admin team behaved, I repeat that the removal men were good and completed the job and even waited till the last minute before they called their office. I can’t recommend this kind of service to anyone.

I stored stuff with Coppards for a few months as there was a gap between my house sale and house purchase.

I have to say (on the positive side) that everybody I dealt with was helpful and cheerful and a pleasure to deal with. (It remains to be seen if this remains the case now that I have raised issues and am raising a claim against them).

Unfortunately, on getting my stuff back there were a number of problems.

1. The first item they delivered to my house was a microwave - I do not own a microwave so told them it was not mine and asked them to take it away. Someone must be missing this.

2. items like clothes and towels smelt very musty and there was a snail crawling over my lampshades. I’m guessing it may have been quite damp where the stuff was stored.

3. A number of items were broken - I have put in an insurance claim with them. Broken items included washing machine, bed, camping stove.

4. My large wooden bookcase was returned, with shelves, but with no battens - so the shelves no longer stay in place. I have a quote from a carpenter to fix and have put in an insurance claim with them.

Hopefully, they will resolve these claims and find the owner for the microwave. If not - I could not in good conscience recommend the company.

UPDATE
They have offered only £270 on the grounds that it’s not a new for old insurance policy they hold so (for example) for a practically unused camping stove that they broke they offered £10 as it was the going rate for second hand stoves in E-bay.

Avoid. Coppards moved me but broke nearly everything of value. They underestimated the load and so over packed the lorry to avoid having to get a second one over. As we did not raise the concerns within 7 days we were told they had no obligation to compensate or that the insurance had expired. On the whole nice blokes but forgot they were transporting a home.

Coppards went above and beyond and I cannot thank Paul and his team enough. They were quick efficient friendly and very tidy .After reading other negative comments the experience we had could not be any further from the truth we would highly recommend coppards to anyone.

Coppards provided us with a very competitive quote for a local house move. On the day they arrived early and got stuck straight in, the guys were courteous, efficient and great at putting us at ease as we rushed around to finish out last minute packing.
Would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone

We moved last month, Coppards were so helpful and friendly, extremely understanding despite several changes of date and a late completion at 4pm (on almost the darkest day of the year!). All of which was beyond our control.
They called in extra hands and moved our stuff into our new house in one hour flat and stayed cheerful the whole time.

Moved house this weekend. Coppards were excellent - courteous and efficient, very professional service from Chas and the team that delivered exactly what I wanted - a hassle free move. Would highly recommend. Fair pricing too, what’s not to like?!

Extremely rude ,and unprofessional , due to a late completion that was out of our control we didn't complete until 5pm, coppards office were rude, constantly threatening me on the phone, not polite at all, and made threats to leave the new house without unloading , they were extremely aggressive and rude to me, in the end i was told you got 5 mins to get the stuff out or they were leaving and id have to pay again the next day , it was very stressful, i had paid the £100.00 waiver but didn't seem to count for anything, so im not sure what i paid it for, in all my 56 years on this planet i have never been spoken to in such an aggressive manner , a service i paid nearly £1000.00 pounds for ! the removal men were lovely by the way, and completed the job and worked hard so my advice to them, would be to go elsewhere and do not work for this nasty bunch of people, appalling and left me feeling very upset.
